actually was super easy to open an email account and start using their services.

I found Yandex on a list of sites that don't invade your privacy by requiring a phone. Yandex worked great for about 10 days. Then I couldn't log in because Yandex blocked my account and demanded my phone number before they'd let me back in. Their message was that they suspected that my account had been hacked. I seriously doubt that given the very strong long password that I used. I dislike the idea of an email provider having my phone number, so I moved on. If an insider ever steals your identity by hacking your email, you'll find out why you don't want the email provider having your phone number or even your real name. Locking a user out of their email is very malicious, so avoid Yandex.

I'm sorry I can't give this service less than one star. When one of my free email services was cancelled, Yandex came up in a search. I can neither receive nor send emails. What kind of free email service is that? Seriously, if you can't do anything at all, why even exist?

So I'm sure you'd like me to be specific. I tried two different email addresses when I tried to send myself a test email. Both gave me the error message "Invalid contact address". I also sent emails to my Yandex address from myself and got host mx.yandex.ru[93.158.134.89] said: 550 5.7.1

Simple, managable, some layout could be better but for a grumpy old man, sure beats the likes of Gmail/Yahoo etc.

Yandex.com is being used by spammers to send inappropriate spam email messages to our company.

Good for local search but not great for UK.

I have used Google primarily but I decided to give Yandex a try. What a waste of my time. Not good results at all.

Reccomendation: Use Yandex Services if you are sick of using Google all the time

I prefer to use a combination of Google Search and Yandex due to eachother's advantages:
Yandex Search is unbiased (unlike Google)
Google is good for searching locally
Yandex Disk can be installed on school computers (unlike Google drive)
Yandex Disk is user-friendly and allowes MS Office to be opened online (Google docs is clunky)
Yandex Browser works just as good as Google Chrome, no issues

Cons:
Occasionally am linked to Yandex.ru, which is in Russian and I don't understand Russian
Yandex.Disk has a more limited upload speed
Yandex Images can be innapropiate
Yandex Search may be full of spam (go to Google)

I'm Using Yandex Search Engine and i was really comfortable while Surfing the Web.Excellent User Experience and a Great products like maps etc.Kudos!!

I use only Yandex search engine!

Maps, Navigation and Video is Great. Nice Search Engine
