I have travelled over 30 countries. And this has been one of the worst experience in my travels over the last 15 years.

Cons noted as under -

a.PNR of my booking was not generated until the last minute.
b. They did group booking and hence my name could not be allocated by the airline.
c. They rescheduled my flight multiple times which caused me to incur other incidental charges.
d. The staff were not apologetic at all on account of the inconvenience caused by me.

Please avoid to save yourself a nightmare.

Yatra company is good but recently I go to Mauritius via yatra ,our local tour was by Silve wing travel.their tour manager anurag kaliya is a fraud person and demanded money and threten us pay or you will not go to India back.his ph no is 59366418 Mauritius no.so don't take service of silver wings and anurag kaliya

1-Star Review: WARNING – YATRA SOLD ME AN UNCONFIRMED TICKET! RETURN PNR “UNCONFIRMED”, AIRLINE HAS NO BOOKING, ZERO SUPPORT!

I am writing this after one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any travel company.

I booked a round-trip SpiceJet flight (DEL–BOM–DEL) through Yatra.com and paid ₹20,662 for a non-cancellable, non-refundable ticket.
Yatra took my money instantly — but never gave me a confirmed ticket.

❌ Yatra’s own PDF shows the return PNR as “UNCONFIRMED”!

After payment, Yatra sent me a “booking confirmation” where the return PNR was literally written as “UNCONFIRMED”.

This means I paid full money but got half a ticket.

❌ Airline has NO booking for my return journey

When I checked with SpiceJet, they confirmed:

The onward PNR is not properly reflected

The return PNR/return booking DOES NOT EXIST

They have not received a confirmed booking from Yatra for the return flight at all

So essentially:
Yatra took my money → gave me an unconfirmed booking → airline has no record → I cannot travel.

❌ Cannot manage booking, cannot web check-in

Even for the onward journey, I cannot:

Manage booking

Select seats

Web check-in

Retrieve proper details

The PNR does not behave like a normal confirmed airline booking.

❌ Yatra put the WRONG email ID on booking

They misspelled my email as aggarwalcanvas246@gmailc.(com)
(extra “c”), instead of the correct aggarwalcanvas246@gmail.(com)

Because of this, I received no e-ticket, no proper communication, nothing.

❌ Customer care does NOT pick calls

When I call from my registered mobile, the IVR keeps saying:

“Please call from your registered number.”

I AM calling from my registered number.
There is no way to reach a support agent.
Zero human assistance.

❌ Zero responsibility and zero resolution

I am left with:

No confirmed ticket

No working PNR

No refund option

No response

No customer service

No accountability

This is a clear case of:

Deficiency in service

Unfair trade practice

Customer exploitation

⚠️ WARNING to other travellers

Be VERY careful booking flights through Yatra.

If anything goes wrong, you are completely helpless.

I am now escalating this to:

SpiceJet Nodal & Appellate Authority

Legal Consumer Complaint

All because Yatra charged me for a confirmed ticket but never confirmed it.

⭐ FINAL VERDICT

Avoid Yatra for flight bookings.
Their system is unreliable, their support is unreachable, and their mistakes become YOUR problem.

Flight ticket is showing unconfirmed even after successful payment.

I have booked the round trip ticket from Pune to Udaipur. The ticket shows unconfirmed for one way even after successful payment. They shows message that pending from airlines and support team will get in touch with you in next 30 min but real struggle start from here
1. No one will contact you neither you can contact anyone. None of their contact number works and they wont reply to any of your email. I sent around 5-6 emails in a day but they dont care
2. I connected directly with airlines and they confirmed that they can't help as airline PNR itself is not generated.
This way there was an attempt to waste first 24 hr and I was helpless.

I have booked bus tickets from Manaly to Lei and Lei to Manali. Because of weather condition ticket was cancelled but Yarta company even after 3 mounts didn't return money. It is really fraud company. It’s is scam. Don't buy anything through yatra!

I have booked flight tickets from Ahmedabad to Kolkata and Kolkata to Ahmedabad and i have also selected the seat from Ahmedabad to Kolkata but in tickets it is not showing confirm seat selection and also return ticket is also not confirmed after the 24 hours Kolkata to Ahmedabad it’s like scam because after the 24 hours any flight confirmation can be shared by any airlines

They are totally fraud and had tie up with liberty general insurance . I have paid extra rs 693 for flight ticket cancellation protection offer/details/yatra-liberty-cancellation-protection and after canceling trip due to some reasons i have contact liberty and yatra.com and none of them are taking responsibility of the claim amount .
Yatra.com is promoting fraud cancellation protection with liberty general insurance and fooling customers. Never take tickets from yatra.com and insurance from liberty general insurance they are spammers

Reached the Deharadun railway station on 11.09.2025 early morning. Mr Venkatesh Mr prasana and Mr Vignesh were there to receive me. They arranged two buses and gave the best breakfast that morning. then explained the tour details. On 11.09.2025 I initially thought I would only see Badrinath and Kedarnath. Due to heavy rain and landslide Gangothri and Yamonthtri were closed and would only open after 10 days. But my first programme is yamonthri and 2 nd one is Gangothri.But the experencied manager from yathra.com quickly changed the tour plan The manager to cover all the places as per schedule within 13 days. On the last day I fell ill with a bad cold and flu. Mr Vignesh quickly arranged for a doctor to visit the hotel who gave me a medcine . The next day I fell fresh and traveled back to Chennai without any issue. They provide delicious and best south indian food throughout all 13 days.

I really wish I had researched Yatra before purchasing a ticket from their site. I lost more than 70% of my booking amount on so called charges. The regret I am feeling now.

Fares increase every time we book tickets where as other sites are still giving lesser prices.
It has happened almost 10 times and today again.

Refund Amount: INR 8,780 not credited to my account till today.(28/8/25). They promised 7 day return policy but till 18 days no updation. Daily i am sending e-mail and reply to call from assistance. But no use.

I had booked an Indigo flight from Ahmedabad to Amritsar (round trip) through Yatra.com. My refund of ₹20,394 was initiated on 10th July 2025, but even after more than a month, I have still not received the money.

Every time I contact Yatra support, they give the same false assurance: “You will get your refund in 24–48 hours.” But that 24–48 hours never comes! This is pure negligence and harassment of customers.

Yatra.com is quick to take money, but when it comes to refund, they play delay tactics. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience. I will never book through Yatra again.

I booked a Ticket on 28 Jul'25 | Booking Ref No. 2807250022600 SpiceJet(SG - 17) PNR : CFNP7N. It said confirmed,, but I'm not able to check in even at this point when the flight is just 24 hours away and I wanted to check with customer care of Yatra about the same but they never picked the calls nor responded to my emails. The airlines says they cant help because it was booked under yatra.com. I would never book my tickets on Yatra because of this issue and imagine you are not able to connect to them to even know whether we can travel the next day or not!! I just noticed they are so many bad reviews about their service. This will be my last booking via yatra.com

Hotels: acceptable except for the one in Jaipur, which absolutely did not justify the price and was definitely not a 4-star hotel as advertised.
Car/Driver: fine.
Flights: 10 hours layover
Visits: far too many forced stops in shops (jewels, carpets, silk, fabrics, marble, leather, cashmere), with pushy and insistent sales attempts that were extremely unpleasant.
Guide: unfortunately, explanations at monuments were confusing,
Varanasi Ceremony: this was the absolute low point. After being moved three times, with arguments with locals, we ended up in a place (photo attached) where a wall blocked the view entirely. The guide then told us the “price of seats” had increased from €1 to €20 because the ceremony was not on the river and space was limited. It is unacceptable that such a thing was even mentioned given what we already paid.
Additional services are so overpriced is crazy. 60€ for a 20 min stop. And last they do not have any kind of assistance. It is 3 WhatsApp numbers with people that will only say your claims are crazy.

They first promised a medical waiver refund and then said its not possible. Made me wait for 2 months and has caused me harassment by giving false narrative and promises

I booked a ticket from yatra.com and received a confirmed PNR from them but when I went to download the ticket before my journey the airline showed that the ticket had not been generated because they did not receive the payment from yatra.com. Now even if I try to book a fight for the same day it will cost me much more than what it would have had they notified me about this or just told me that my PNR had not been confirmed. They instead gave me a confirmed PNR which led me to believe that the ticket had been booked and I also received a mail stating the same.

I booked flight for akasaair using yatra.com and once i booked my flight, i am not able to access my booking on yatra.com and when i try to find my booking on akasaair.com it just cant find my booking using any info i provide. Its a big scam. I booked my ticket again directly using akasaair.com. Had to pay twice for same flight. I want a refund. My booking ref number is 2507250066548

I made a payment for the domestic flight booking. The payment was deducted and yet I didn't receive any booking confirmation. Even on the website I am unable to find the transaction details. Neither the phone no. is reachable nor they are reaching out through emails.
