Incredible and unforgettable trip to Oman. Our guide Daniel was amazing — wonderfully knowledgeable, unbelievably kind and took great care of every detail to craft a fabulous experience. The team at YellowWood were brilliant — helped us coordinate a private custom trip, answered all of our questions as we planned itineraries and were lovely to deal with. Highly recommend this entire crew! We will be booking another adventure with them again soon.

If you are thinking about going to the middle east don't hesitate to go to Oman. Our guide Daniel was fabulous. He is very competent and knowledgeable and created an exciting adventure for us each day. I cannot recommend this trip enough. Learned so much about the history and culture. I am an older person and travelled with women half my age. Some of the walks were a challenge but Daniel customized each one for me.

Just returned from a tour of Oman with YellowWood. Incredible trip. Packed full Itinerary. 5 women and our guide and driver became like family. It had everything, hiking, swimming, camping, culture and history. I travel often and this was one of the best guided trips I have ventured.

Just got back from an amazing adventure in Oman. It was a well organized trip, have seen a lot of beautifull things, nature was beautifull.
We had the best guide ever, Daniel! He is such a nice guy. Every day felt as another day in paradise. We made memories for life and the group of 5 women felt like family.

The attention to detail by the office and our guide was wonderful. Nothing was left to chance. The planning of our Adventure was very thorough and the arrival of a huge storm that made changes inevitable was handled perfectly

An amazing holiday! The Canary Islands are stunning, and YellowWood and our guides were a great way to see them. A great itinerary, lovely hotels, great food, beautiful walks, knowledgeable and friendly guides - I cannot fault the service. Everything was taken care of including all taxis and boats to get us to from walks and between islands and accommodation. Some of the walking routes were more challenging than I am used to, but well worth the extra effort for the amazing views. I can heartily recommend YellowWood Adventures!

I felt so confortable and safe with YellowWood Adventures. Bhutan is such an enchanting place, and they make sure you see, learn and enjoy every second of it! The guides were very welcoming the same as every single person who received us and made us feel so welcomed and special. Everything was perfectly planned and according to the itinerary. I can’t wait to make another trip with YellowWood. I am so glad I finally found an agency who’s there for you in anything you need. Thank you YellowWood!!!

YellowWood planned an excellent hiking camping and culture trip covering 2200 kms over the mountains the desert and the beaches around Muscat in Oman. The highlight was ‘ canyoning ‘ down and back up the Wadi Bani Khalid to a stunning group of water falls and pools. However our enjoyment and safety would not have been the same without the experience and expertise of our guide Toufic who was well informed, willing , able , thoughtful and efficient with interests and opinions far beyond camping and guiding in Oman. Thank you Toufic and YellowWood.

My wife and I recently participated in the Historic Cities and Foothills of Northern Spain. It was truly an adventure. Our guides were great; they gently pushed the group in the hiking portions of the trip and provided memorable culinary experiences.
This trip far exceeded our expectations in the locations we visited, the places we were lodged and the food. Picos de Europa, Asturias, and the Basque Region are truly phenomenal and made more desirable by YellowWood Adventures. Anyone thinking of traveling to this area needs to utilize this group.
Thank you Midori, Sofie for a memorable adventure and YellowWood for organizing our experience.

Well planned trip with good support both locally and in the UK. A good itinerary and an excellent local guide meant that the whole arrangement went smoothly with enough fluidity to allow some adjustments on the day. And if you haven't been to the World Nomad Games, you should - look out for 2026!

Walking the Nomadic Steps and Steppes
Nomadic culture has always held a fascination, ever since my 4th grade geography class years ago! My recent one month sojourn to Kyrgyzstan fulfilled that dream for me. Yellowwood Adventures was the final week of my educational fellowship, and proved to be a rich immersion into cultural, historical, and wilderness areas. There was so much to see, learn, and experience as we slowly navigated through people and place. Whether viewing mountains in all their glory along foot trails in the National Park.....on horseback in the high pass.....or out the window of our vehicle as we motored to different areas, in was all breathtaking. And what memorable moments were created along the way as we:
Shared broad swaths of jailoo (summer pastures) with many hooves and a cacophony of animal sounds.
Traveled the Silk Road, our imaginations on fire, as we mentally pictured travel and commerce and influence of past centuries.
Absorbed the eagle man’s knowledge, skill and eagle hunting way of life.
Traded the comforts and coziness of my USA home for those of a rustic and snug yurt.
Learned the ancient craft of rug making and design, from sheep to shop.
Explored local foods and flavors of nomadic tribes.
Shared tea and snacks - but not a common language! - with the local women who enthusiastically approved of my in-the-moment and authentic clothing purchase at the on site gift shop.
And so much more!
I was a solo traveler, and my guide El, was not only delightful company, and logistically conscientious, but provided the necessary English translation that helped me optimize my experience. Our driver was a joy as well and safely and comfortably saw us through many road miles. Together, the three of us made for a great team!
I'm so grateful that this part of the world opened up for me in all the ways that it did. Even in our briefest of stays, we know that it is these kinds of experiences that change not only our worldview, but change us for the better.

I had a wonderful trip to Ladakh with YellowWood Adventures. Extraordinary scenery and wonderful monasteries, lovely walking but extremely hot! Rigzen, our guide was extremely knowledgeable with endless information about the culture and Buddhism. The homestays were fun with delicious suppers and charming hosts. The driver was a very nice guy and I enjoyed the views on the road trips.
A breath taking beautiful trek through valleys and over passes of Kyrgyzstan, with an experienced and knowledgeable local guide. YellowWood adventures provided a detailed itinerary and good communications; the trek was excellent value for money.
Yellowwood Adventures organised a top-quality experience packed tour — long scenic drives, calm and comfortable accommodations, important city/village stays in Muscat, Nizwa, Misfah and Salahlah, cultural visits, good food and nature excursions. All amounted to the Oman encounter we wished for.
The Arabian night in the desert (even though it was curtailed by an unusual storm) and snorkelling around the Dimaniyat Island with green turtles became highlights.
This Oman itinerary offered a safe and historically rich Islamic cultural experience.
The local guides were professional, patient and knowledgeable. Much appreciated!
Thanks to you all for a very special time.

Our recent trip to Oman with Yellow Wood was all we expected. Our guide was professional and had to make some last minute adaptations to schedule due to the weather, but none the less was keen that it didn't affect our expectations or enjoyment.
The itinerary was varied and appropriate. Thank you, Yellow Wood

A truly interesting trip to Oman in part of the world we had never considered visiting before we saw the YellowWood trip information.
A fascinating country which hasn't been spoiled by oil money like some other Gulf states and still retains a lot of history and beauty of it's mountains, coast and deserts. Our head guide was superb and managed superbly in highly stressful situations such as having to suddenly abandon a night's desert camping due to a rainstorm and find alternative shelter for 10 people. The rainstorms that hit Oman made alterations to our itinerary inevitable but we still ended up visiting some fantastic locations, although this entailed some lengthy drives which were a bit mind and bum numbing!
Oman is well worth a trip with YellowWood!

I really enjoyed my 14 days in Western Uganda trip. It had an excellent mix of wildlife, culture and geography. The mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, golden monkeys and safari hikes and drives were amazing. It was a very good itinerary. Communication with YellowWood Adventures was quick and straight forward even though I was of a last minute addition from Canada. The trip information on their site was accurate and informative. The guide, Paul O, picked for this tour was excellent. He was knowledgeable, good communicator and very well organized.

Uganda Adventure I have been to a lot of places around the world But this is the first time I have been on such an Adventure. This was so well thought out and balanced each day. Although I am older I managed to accomplish all the climbs. The guide team was the most organised, patient, and made sure I achieved my potential. The Ugandan people were so friendly and hospitable. Before the holiday I spoke to Sam McManus several times who answered the most trivial of questions very positively. So thank you for a most rewarding experience. Christine Dadd.
