Our family of 4 (including two teenage kids) had a fantastic adventure in Kyrgyzstan organised by YellowWood Adventures.
Every question was answered before the trip greatly reducing our concerns.
Both our guide and driver were very friendly and would go out of their way to ensure had a great trip. The mini bus was always clean, waiting and ready to go. Hotels were always clean but ranged from basic to luxury.
Absolutely loved the country, the views and the people especially, who were super friendly
Although this was a group tour Sam provided a very personalised service, particularly through the booking process and through his obvious concern during the trip that all within the group were enjoying the experience. The opportunity to stay with a local family in their yurts and eat food prepared by them was really special. When I think of this trip I am recalling great times in enormous empty landscapes that brought exhilaration and tranquillity in equal measure. Highly recommended.
Excellent preparation and itinerary and with great guides.
Following my trip to Ethiopia Geralta mountains i cannot recommend Yellowood highly enough. The itinerary was well planned, varied and insightful, packed in to 10 days an extraordinary number of visits and sights, balanced with long, sociable dinners and hikes through mountains and valleys . The accomodation was of the highest standard, with care and consideration given to sustainability and local economy. As a single traveller i felt safe, comfortable and well supported..getting lost in Addis Abiba on the first day between the temple and hotel was entirely my own fault!
I am planning to join Yellowwood for the Lebanon and Oman trips in early 2023

Cannot recommend YellowWood enough. We did a trip to the Tigray region of Ethiopia and it was beautifully run. Fantastic team, remote locations, awesome experiences !
I knew from the beginning that this trip was going to be exceptional and it was. Probably that’s why we signed up for it unusually early for us!
From the beginning everything was perfectly organized.
We loved the hotels, especially the desert one, so empty and quiet ( I missed the baobab tent in Ethiopia though:) I was a bit concerned about the situation with the camels and was relived to see them absolutely happy, we could watch the young calves in the yard and it was so cute to see them playing.
Food was great, we visited traditional places and they were amazing. I was surprised to see such a selection of vegetarian choices.
The country made a great impact on us. Of course we know Persian people who live in London but everyone always praises their country, especially when you live abroad but this time i absolutely agree.
People there are so welcoming and hospitable, interested, asking questions and never impose their presence. But you must know it yourselves.
Just to finish, Darioosh was excellent (always ready to answer any questions!) and we all agreed on that. Andy was very helpful too, we felt very well looked after.
Thank you for an excellent trip, it is one of the best holidays we had!
Fantastic trip in the Gheralta Mountains, much enjoyed every aspect of it. Great fun. Hope YellowWood keeps going from strength to strength.

I had a fantastic trip to Krygystan with Yellowstone. The trip was really enhanced by the fact that we stayed with local families which gave us a better view of the country. Yellowstone is a young company but I think this means that some of their trips are a little bit different and they really care about their customers!
This was a fabulous trip, at least as good as portrayed on the website. Both Uk staff and local guides were excellent and the feel of the whole trip was informal, personal and friendly but well organised. I would certainly go with YellowWood again.

My recent journey to Mongolia where an eagle festival took place was as perfect a journey as can be wished for: good company, wonderful scenery, long contact with local people and their culture and excellent value for money

Toukbal - Morocco - in June was a small family group trek, plus Sam from YellowWood. The local experience in the Atlas was excellent, top class local guiding and very comfortable Kasbah accommodation softening the two mountain refuges.
Balance was just right for all of us - ages ranging from 36 to 70. Trekking was topped and tailed between a day's acclimatisation in Marrakech and a chance to revisit the Souks on the way out. A great trip - thank you, YellowWood & Sam.
Everything worked and worked well. Airport transfers smooth, convenient and worry-free. Accommodation was varied, often very nice indeed and far better than I expected as you drive off into this starkly beautiful country. Food is abundant and good - far too much of it for most of us. Sahid (our outstanding leader/driver) backed off some of the big meals at our request as the trip progressed and gave the group some options where he could. He made sure we had plenty of water and often stopped for Omani tea/coffee, cold drinks at times. Lots of great elements to the trip, all enjoyable. Though there is a fair amount of driving during the tour, it never seemed burdensome - the country is just too damned beautiful to enjoy in its rugged starkness. Every day was a highlight for me, no specific favourite.
Oman deserves all the superlatives it gets -magnificent scenery, safe, friendly environment, welcoming and engaging people. YellowWood delivers a winner on this trip! Kudos to all.

Sam (Yellow Wood MD) organized and led a tour for two others and I to climb Toubkal in Morocco. It was a superb trip and I highly recommend YellowWood. Each step was perfectly arranged. Sam was present throughout and always involved but not overbearing. Felt safe, well organized and a super adventure.
