SCAME ALERT!!!!! 0 Star Review

I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was so bad I had to warn others. I ordered a gift basket and completely disappointed with what I received. First of all, 3 items included were completely different from what I had ordered, and 2 items were missing. The cupcakes I ordered with it were hard and stale. On top of that, the plastic wrap around the gift was ripped and damaged like it had been opened. I emailed customer service requesting a refund, even offered to drive back to the store location and return everything but I was emailed back saying that I'm not eligible for a refund because it's in their 'Terms & Conditions' that items may be substituted. Which is sad, because legally they can get away with this - very scammy to put that in the fine print. Because of their title as "#1 Luxury Gift Basket Company" I didn't even think to read through the term and conditions because if they were '#1' as they said they are, I would trust them enough to agree to the terms and conditions without even reading through the arm-length terms. I regret putting my trust in them. Don't buy from this company.

Scammers!!

Scammers!!! Placed order on December 19th, was provided estimated delivery of 12/21. They delivered January 14th!!!! Absolutely no way to reach them or cancel the order!!!!

Horrific

Horrific, i am contacting the Canadian Consumer services since they should loose their license to do any business. package arrived late, i paid extra for blue cheese, two selections, my friend received a piece of cheddar cheese worth about 40 cents. Next time, i believe the 7-eleven will do better and i can save my money. and on top of it, not a chance of getting hold of them. its a scam and a waste of moneyl

Do not use this company…

I wish that I had read these reviews before ordering. I ordered a 30tu anniversary gift for my sister & brother in law. Put in the requested delivery date & added a balloon & a card.
It arrived 3 days late after their anniversary & everything was damaged. The plant was tipped everywhere and spilt all over the food and had to be thrown away. Only the champagne was intact but the bottle was very dirty and damp due to the plant spilling.. There was no anniversary balloon or card as ordered.
I wrote to them on the same day that they received it & included photos. I asked for a refund and have heard nothing back yet. This was over a week ago & the acknowledgment message said that I should get a reply within 72hrs. I paid good money and feel very upset especially for my sister, what a lovely anniversary gift!!! Not to get a reply or full refund makes it even worse. They rob you of your money & don’t deliver.
I will still await your reply Yorkville.

UPDATE
So this is the reply I just received (Over a week later) Seriously can’t believe it!!
The stuff was all ruined. The card & balloon weren’t even with the gift basket. Also I asked for a refund not a replacement. I don’t want anymore deliveries from this company!!
I have demanded a response from a manager within 24hrs otherwise it’s all over social media. They can’t ruin a 30th wedding anniversary gift & send me a reply like this!
I wish I could upload the photos on here so you could see the state of it.

Scam never buy here

Today, after 18 days of requesting the order # YU359920, The Gourmet Accents & Champagne gift basket arrived ... to my surprise, the basket was missing half of the products indicated on the web and they also did not change the Campagne, for which you pay additionally.
I enclose a photo of what I bought and another of what I received ... it is a shame.
I appreciate you tell me how you are going to solve this theft and bad service.

A Completely trashy company that…

A Completely trashy company that commits fraud to paying customers. Has refused me a refund and even though they were unavailable for close to a month for an order update and the. Shipped it to the wrong address. The company confirmed that they received their package back but will not refund even though the failed to provide adequate customer service for a change of delivery address.

Please do not give your money to these fraudsters, I have no doubt every bad review
Online is true and one day they will face a class action lawsuit for acting so unethically.

Save your money and peace of mind, buy elsewhere

Terrible experience & service

I feel it's my duty to inform the public that if you're looking for a gift basket to make an impression, do not use Yorkville Baskets. It's not worth the risk if you're looking for something to be delivered on time (and "as per your selection"). I should've read more reviews through external sources, but the website looked great and the reviews on their website seemed positive and trustworthy. I completely regret my decision.

Yorkville's has no ability or interest in upholding their end of the customer/vendor relationship. My baskets were ordered & paid for on December 15th and it's now January 28th and still no Christmas baskets in sight. Customer service will wait 5 days to respond and provide you with very little to no information except that it's beyond their control. I called Fedex and it turns out Yorkville's hasn't even scheduled the pick up. I've emailed them several times now if they can confirm if the pick up has been scheduled and it's the same unapologetic reply without an actual answer.

I'm embarrassed and disappointed that the ~$1000 CAD worth of baskets have not arrived to my team yet and Yorkville Baskets still refuses to take any accountability for it. Purchase at your own risk, I guess.

DON’T BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought because they advertise one business day shipping,they shipped probably in a week and delivered in 15 days so we totally missed big company boss birthday surprise and , plus I chose fancy glass and carafe with whiskey bottle , cigar. It was so embarrassing when they delivered whiskey bottle and dog toy with some candies and cookies....

Previously good but ignores contract law niw

Previously I would have said this company was very good however, all that has changed since 24th December. I placed an order for delivery on 26th December (because their system allowed it). It wasn't delivered so on 1st January, just over a week later, I asked for the order to be cancelled due to non completion if the contract. They replied that the date was available because they hoped to be able to deliver. I contacted them again yesterday 21st Jan) to again point out that they had failed in their contractual obligations and that I wanted a refund. Within 2 hours I get notification that the order has been fulfilled and despatched, but no acknowledgement of my complaint. This is absolutely disgusting behaviour and not how I would expect a reputable business to operate. They take your money and do nothing until you ask for a refund due to failure of the contract. Don't bother with this company, they make the rules up to suit themselves 😡

Absolute disaster

Gourmet hamper bought for a friend spending Christmas alone due to COVID arrived weeks late and the contents completely destroyed. Yorkville’s have since ignored my attempts to speak through private channels and have blocked me on Twitter despite all my tweets being polite and never abusive. I have American Express looking into a charge back, this merchant should not be allowed to trade. Disgraceful. Avoid at all costs.

If you enjoy waiting almost a month for a Christmas basket to be delivered to a colleague while also getting next to nothing from "customer service" despite several attempts for updates and/or to cancel your order, then Yorkville's in Toronto is the company for you. Absolutely outrageous. What a joke. They conveniently respond to requests to cancel once it's been picked up by courier - ""well dangit, it's gone, nothing we can do. Thanks for the money, sucker!" I look forward to hearing they've gone out of business.

Oh how I wish I’d read these first

Oh how I wish I’d read these first! I’ll add to the experience! Ordered gift basket from Australia to be delivered to family in Ontario. I’ve ordered gift baskets before and never had an issue with any other company. This company is fraudulent! Ordered 23rd December, was ok with it being a little late. As of today, 16th January, still not delivered. Won’t answer calls or emails. Prepare for the poo storm coming your way! Steer well clear!

TERRIBLE BUSINESS

TERRIBLE BUSINESS! I wish I had seen these reviews prior to making my purchase.
I ordered STRAWBERRIES covered in chocolate with wine as a birthday gift. I paid for next day delivery and the website allowed me to choose the delivery date. I ordered the basket on Friday January 8 for delivery on January 9. I received a confirmation email saying my order was accepted. On Saturday even when the gift was not delivered I attempted to call the company but there is no one to answer. I called Sunday throughout the day and still only an automated message. I contacted them through their customer chat and emails, no response. Monday at 10 am I received an email saying a Shipping label was created but the item was not scanned or moved from the creation place. I called and no answer. I sent a mass email to every email on their website asking why the item was not delivered and why a label was only created Monday. Again, I ordered FRESH STRAWBERRIES.
I checked the tracking information I was given multiple times a day until Wednesday and it was not updated. Wednesday afternoon Jincy from Yorkville's responded to me stating it was out of their hands and that the fresh strawberries were sitting in a warehouse and would be delivered at an unknown date and I could not cancel or get a refund. I had requested a refund BEFORE the label was created.
It is now Friday, a week after ordering and 5 days since the label was created, and the gift was not delivered.
My card had been charged and they expect me to give a gift of old strawberries that have been sitting around when I paid for fresh strawberries to be delivered next day.
I have requested multiple times, and within reason, to cancel the order and receive a refund. I can see clearly on the UPS tracking site that the item was NOT shipped, the label was only created on Monday. Who wants to eat week-old strawberries that have been sitting about?
If the company is UNABLE to fulfill orders for next day or second day shipping, and can only COMPLETE SHIPPING IN A WEEK WHY DO THEY NOT SAY THIS ON THE WEBSITE

Bait and Switch

My husband surprised me with a Cheese Lover and Craft Beer Basket for Christmas. The basket was supposed to have Amsterdam Brewing Company and Sleeman beer in it (Canadian beers), beer that we can not get in Texas. That was the whole reason for ordering the basket in the first place. Instead it had Dos Equis , Blue Moon, and Miller Genuine Draft. No cheese at all in the basket. Just 3 sets of crackers and 1 candy bar. All of this could have been purchased at a convenience store for a small cost. Very disappointed. After several e-mails, attempted chats, and attempted phone calls, they are referring to their substitution policy where they are allowed to substitute with items of equal or higher value when the items are not available. We received the cheapest substitutes you possibly could get. And still no cheese which is hilarious since it was called a Cheese Lover's basket. Is everybody really out of cheese? Please save yourself the heartache from dealing with this company. They have 12 different names operating under The Gift Group. He ordered it from Yorkville Gift Basket but credit card posted as Hazelton Gift Baskets. We tried to answer the review that came with the order and found out they do not post any reviews that are not a 4 or above. Wish I could give negative stars but it is not an option.

I would not even want to give any star…

I would not even want to give any star for this terrible company. No customer service, no reply, no email and the package was finally delivered after many emails, hundreds of phone calls and 20 days of waiting. Such an embarrassment for the gift to show up so late. Do not waste your time and money on this company. I don't even know if this is 1 man company or just a scam. We need to file the complaints and put this company to close!!

Stay Away This Company is a Disgrace

If I could give zero stars I would. Firstly the product was not delivered on time. They took the order on the 15th of December for delivery on 23rd December. I think the company take all orders and don't care about their capacity to make the delivery on time. They were blaming the couriers on the late delivery but the couriers were not even notified of the delivery until the 26th December. It eventually arrived over a week late on the 31st but that was not the worst of what happened. I paid $200 for a custom made hamper. Nearly none of the items I ordered were in the hamper. I ordered 3 wines, cheeses, crackers and relish. They got none of the wines I ordered and I ordered really nice wines but i'm not sure of the value of the ones in the hamper as they aren't even listed. I ordered a white sparkling wine and they got a pink sparkling wine. They got no cheese. Instead they got
cheese sticks, salami and cookies. Like how could this happen. I was so embarrassed. I tried calling and e-mailing the company but they never responded. They are disgraceful. Stay Away

YORKVILLES IS THE WORST

This is the worst company to deal with and cannot be trusted. I left this review on their page and they will likely not post it but they cannot control reviews here. I ordered a gift basket on Dec 30 for delivery on Jan 1. I received an email on Dec 31 saying this was shipped. The parcel has still not arrived. I received another email today (January 7) saying my parcel was shipped (AGAIN). I called numerous times, left messages, tried the online chat and sent emails. I eventually asked for my basket to be cancelled as this was for a friend who lost her mother and I went with another company. I asked in numerous emails to no longer ship this package. No one has replied and now I have to face this embarrassment of another gift basket showing up, with likely rotten fruit, for someone who is grieving. This company should not be allowed to operate. Taking money, not delivering and never responding.
