I have recently completed the A1.1 German course and I have really enjoyed it. The teachers explain the content in the videos very well. I also find the combination of online exercises, coursebook and textbook very useful. I only knew a few words in German before starting the course and I am happy with my progress. I also like how the course can be completed at your own pace and it has lifetime access. I highly recommend the course to anyone who wants to learn German. I am looking forward to starting the A1.2 course! Thank you very much!

Great teachers, small, digestible videos and lessons that don't feel overwhelming to go through and great explanations on the topics. Content is engaging and not boring, allows me to work on the material at my own pace and comfort, whenever i have free time. Nice and succinct Workbooks and Coursebooks, that make it easy to practice what I learned and easy to go back to for refreshers. Also course is lifelong which is great to have, unlike other german courses which have a limited time to use. Keep up the good work! Thanks again for the amazing course!

Yourgermanteacher is the best place to learn German so far. I tried any others online course even took a German language Class, and I was stucked moving forward until I gave up. Then I found this channel in youtube, and watched all their A1 level courses, and decided to purchase A1 level course and I passed the exam. Now, moving forward to A2 level.

I've been in germany since 2022 but never properly learned german. I've of course picked up a couple phrases and words and managed to also pass the A1 exam but for the life of me could not wrap my head around a lot of stuff. I started learning properly since October 2024, discovered their channel(among others) which helped me a lot. I then took a live A1 course(although on zoom) from a private tutor but as I have ADHD and a short attention span, it did not help me a lot. I then purchased another german course which wasn't that helpful to me personally, all this time I kept coming back to YourGermanTeacher's youtube channel so I thought why not give their course a try, and boy did that make the difference. It's properly structured, it's not too overwhelming and there's no fluff.

I started with their A1 course back in January 2025, then I kept coming back for A2 and B1.1(this is the latest course at the time of this review with B1.2 dropping soon)
Flash forward 3 months I am much more confident in my language skills than ever before.

To summarize:
-Properly structured with each chapter having just the right amount of content so that you don't feel overwhelmed
-contains custom course book and exercise book
-contains helpful summaries and lists of words/grammar concepts for each level
-if you have any doubts, they respond pretty quickly to the comments.

I think the A1 course was great! Good pace, easy to follow, and you guys quickly responded to my questions. You guys are great teachers and made learning German easier.

I had previously done an A1 intensive course at a school in Germany, which was good, but left me overwhelmed and still with a lot of questions. I had used your YouTube videos to assist with the in-person class I took, but wished I found your online course sooner. It would have saved me a lot of time, stress and money.

I started with a complete lack of German knowledge. This course is fantastic to understand and practice German grammar. Without it I would have a significantly harder time understanding the mechanic of German.

I have taken 3 intensive German language courses but still felt that there were gaps in my learning. I decided to start my learning all over again here. I had so many *light bulb* moments as everything was so clearly explained. The quizzes and worksheets really helped me to keep track of my progress. I have really noticed my improvement and I feel more confident when speaking. I HIGHLY recommend this course.

Strongly recommend it. Though German is a challenging language to learn, Johannes and Luzi managed to offer clear explanations, well-paced information, introducing me gradually to the grammar and vocabulary of the German language. The coursebook and worksheets were very practical, easy to use and Luzi and Johannes were very responsive, every time I had any queries.

I took this course as an intermediate learner to see what I may have missed. Wow, I am so surprised by how much is packed in this course. The topics are easily digestible with ample ways to practice. The teachers are quickly accessible and respond daily. I learned quite a bit and will continue with A2 and B1+ courses.

I am taking this course and proceeding to B1.1 with two fellow students. We study online independently but meet weekly for review and to go over what we covered. If we have questions we always get fast responses and answers from the instructors!

I came across YourGermanTeacher videos on YouTube and from there, decided to try Level B1.1 which, if memory serves, was on sale at the time. Soon after beginning, I spotted a Black Friday (Schwarz Freitag) sale for A1.1 and A1.2 and decided to rewind in case I'd missed important foundations, which I certainly had. Before deciding I emailed Luzi & Johannes and Luzi replied that it might be a good idea but, if I felt confident where I was, just to keep going. There was no pressure.
I find the materials and presentation excellent and, because of the relaxed feel of the course, enjoy revisiting lessons to help things sink in.
I'd say the best advice was to get a print copy of the course book as it's easier on the eyes than looking at a screen all the time. The pairing with Brainscape app is also a great help for revising/testing vocabulary and pronunciation.

Such an useful course to learn the important basis of the language. Nothing to do with other courses sold on the Internet. 100% recommendable.

Great teaching platform. I have taken the A2 course plan and passed the A2 Goethe prüfung thanks to this platform.

I suggest if you want to learn german fast and easy this is the place. I am glad that I got YourGermanTeacher for help me with German language.

This course is very much helpful. Luzi & Johannes are doing a great job. I haven’t seen anyone taking classes like them. It helped me a lot. Moreover, there were lot of gaps in my A1 course, which is cleared by this A2.1 course. Specially the worksheets & Abchlusstest help me a lot. Thank you so much YGT.

I used to learn German in high school, but I found it a scary and seemingly impossible language to master. However, after completing this A1 level course, I feel that my understanding of the basics has significantly improved. I can now proudly say, Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch (for now).

If you're looking for a budget-friendly language-learning opportunity, look no further. I can't wait for A2!

Luzi and Johannes are the best german teachers i have found in the internet so far.The whole course has a good structure that makes you learn effectively.Much appreciate the effort of theirs to create it.

I just finished 2.1 and found the course challenging but well written and clear with respect to the instructions. This course has been interesting and fun beyond words. It is a great course and highly recommended.
