I purchased a lifetime, one-time license for this software over three years ago, primarily to download audio and video from platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud. Those features worked reliably and were the core reason I bought and recommended the product.

In late December 2025, after updating to the latest version, those same features were suddenly disabled and placed behind a new paid “Pro” tier. Support later claimed these capabilities were part of a previously “free standard trial,” which directly contradicts how the product was marketed and how customers reasonably understood a lifetime license.

When I raised concerns about whether future paid tiers could also be downgraded later, that question was completely avoided. Instead, I was offered a temporary link to an older version of the software — effectively acknowledging that the current version no longer honors the original license terms.

The software itself works well when allowed to function, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Removing core features from a lifetime license after purchase feels like a bait-and-switch designed to force existing users into paying again.

After posting this review, YTSaver contacted me offering a “free year Pro lifetime plan account.” This offer was made only after the review became public.

This outreach occurred across multiple email threads and involved manual license handling by support, reinforcing that access to functionality is now discretionary rather than automatically honored by the original lifetime license.

While I appreciate the outreach, a temporary or discretionary Pro account does not resolve the underlying issue: core features were removed from a lifetime license years after purchase.

For prospective buyers, this distinction matters. Post-review compensation is not the same as restoring original license terms or guaranteeing stability going forward.

Prospective buyers should be aware: a “lifetime” license may not remain lifetime once package structures change.

Ideally, they should reverse the standard/pro change. it is predatory and seeks to scam the customer.

Not Paying the affiliate partners on FlexOffers for the money they did while being active on the platform. Not respondinng to any emails or any other inquiries. Simply gonna sue them.

Customer service resolved my software registration issue with surprising speed. I really appreciate their help.

Does exactly what it should, gets fixed or improved quickly when necessary, service is fast and accurate. Can’t ask for anything else.

I had an issue with the YTSaver software and was unable to download YouTube videos. I contacted customer support, and they were extremely responsive and professional. The problem was solved quickly and efficiently. I really appreciate their excellent customer service and support. Highly recommended!

YT Saver refuses to pay us 30,000$+ in affiliate revenue made by MSPowerUser! We are going to sue the company in Hong Kong!

Customer Service was Very Fast to help me when I lost my Registration code. It's honestly surprising. It took a couple tries but I was up and Running again within 20 minutes. Though I don't know who the Service rep was so I can't get them credit directly.

I've been messaging this company for months and haven't received a single response. I purchased a lifetime license, and after the app updated, I can no longer use it; it asks me to purchase it again. I've been trying to resolve this for months and haven't received a single reply.

They originally charged 9.99 monthly, then upped their plans to 10.99 for “premium” sites and forced people with lifetime access to pay more. Now they’ve been forcing people to pay 19.99 per month for the “pro” plans.

Their support is not helpful and they try to scam you out of your money. I had to cancel my card I used for this subscription because they kept making $2 transactions on my card.
EDIT: After a back and forth for weeks after the new upcharge with support with them trying to get back to my original price, they offered me a lifetime license. It took a while but hopefully don't change the plans again.

We purchased the software, which is very good in itself, from Softwareshop. There, only the Pro version is clearly advertised. If you click on Buy, you are taken to a second page where you can select your plan. In our case, Lifetime 1 PC. If you click on Buy again, you are redirected to bitsdujour in the background, where the purchase is completed. Unfortunately, this only gives you the standard key. Despite lengthy correspondence, both bitsdujour and ytsaver refuse to issue the Pro key. When ytSaver supplemented the only version available at the time with a Pro version, this information was apparently not passed on to its partners. The software itself is good, but the management should work on its customer service

After clearing up the misunderstanding, YTSaver's management offered us a fair alternative, which we gladly accepted. The bottom line is that we were able to upgrade to the Pro version on favorable terms without incurring any additional costs compared to what we would have paid if we had purchased directly from YTSaver. From our side, there is no longer any reason for complaint. Mistakes can happen. We are therefore revising our rating to the maximum 5 stars, especially since, as already mentioned, there is nothing to complain about in terms of the quality of the software.

Excellent product and excellent support. I had to reinstall YT Saver because I had to reformat my PC. Support provided me with all the necessary instructions, and I was able to do it quickly and easily. Reliable company.

This shit is fraudulent. I bought a lifetime pass, then they change there system a few months later, so that "lifetime pass" is no longer relevant and you have to buy a new lifetime pass. Who knows how often they'll keep that scam going and force you to buy another.

YT Saver is a great program for downloading Spotify music and YouTube vidoes. It is reliable and fast. Recently I had a problem and I had a quick response from the company and they remedied the situation. I recommend the product and the company.
