YUASA 3000 Battery
Had the 3000 series car battery swapped 4 in 3 year warranty period.
The last one is 2 month old and failed but now outside the warranty period so they won’t exchange.
I would expect any new item to be covered for at least a year but apparently not.
Never again!
Still working after 6 years.
Bought in Halfords, still working after 6 years.
One star like most reviews. The guarantee is worthless.
I bought a Yuasa 5000 battery from Halfords, with a 5-year guarantee, in December 2021. It failed in November 2022, i.e. after 11 months. Halfords tested the battery (by connecting a Yuasa testing machine to the battery terminals) - the machine said "not covered by the warranty". I argued, but decided not to go to court, and then I made two mistakes; I got a new alternator installed (thinking that it must be the alternator's fault), and I got Halfords to fit a new battery without specifying which make. They fitted another Yuasa 5000. This one failed on 1st January 2023, i.e. after after less than 2 months! Never, ever buy one of these. Look at all the reviews.
Don't trust a Yuasa Warranty
I bought a Yuasa battery for my car from Amazon in August 2020, although it worked great initially after 18 months it started to lose power and not hold a charge above 10.5v, which is an indication of a dead cell. I contacted Amazon for a replacement or refund but they directed me to go to the manufacturer. Contacting the manufacturer they informed me that it was not them but the seller, and quoting various acts. The battery has got a 5 year manufacturers warranty, a warranty which they refuse to honor rendering it useless. Don't trust this firm as they won't back you. I intend taking the matter up with the authorities and create a bit of a shame for them.
I went over to a YUASA battery for reliability.
I went over to a YUASA battery because the old one although only after one year, well , it would not hold its charge. The new YuasA seems so much better and is covered by a good waranty . I have no idea why Royal Enfield ut such a bad battery make. I read of three owners who had the same (poor battery ), all faded and useless.. I have always relied on Yuasa make on all my bikes since 1968, never had the tiniest problem. I use the gel form these days. Superb Make. and only a couple of pounds more that the other (evil form with acid and water. ) These can splash in an emergency stop or topple etc. Gel batteries are far more reliable.
Lee Allen and the team behind make…
Lee Allen and the team behind make Yuasa work and if it works for us I think it would work for everyone.
Account managers have so much knowledge and Lee is a pedigree account manager amongst a wide varied talent field in the UK battery market.
If you know him and need a battery - you are sorted. Full stop.
Without question he is the best

Poor had two within 18 months on my VW T5 both had cell breakdown, now I’ve had a full refund and fitted top spec Exide, I’ll stick with what I know in future.

Purchased 2 of these batteries for my husbands mobility scooter in January 2022 at a cost of over £200 they lasted less than 6 months. Took to a mobility repair shop who gave a report 1 battery running at 18% the other at 94% however even though we sent a report to the company they were purchased from, this graphic report is not the right type the company are the most abusive rude and threatening people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Our charger has been tested and is working perfectly. I will not be buying or recommending these batteries to anyone. Just spent another £260 on Mrs batteries.

It's the worst deep cycle battery I've ever purchased ( tree of them 110ah .
12 volt). traveling 20 years no problem these batteries only lasted just on 3 years I'm going back to the old brand,
When I made inquiries, not much effort was shown.
(On average the batteries I have use same Amp hours 5 to 6 years .)
I have had a Yuasa battery for less…
I have had a Yuasa battery for less than two years and the car has only been used twice in that period, I dismantles the battery when not in use. The battery does not hold a charge but when I went back to them, they did not want to know. Totally unhelpful, would never buy a battery from them again.
YUASA NP12-12 3 and 1/2 years heavy use
They should be more honest about the guarantee on the battery.
Like many of the posters it lasted about 3 and 1/2 years. I have a Yuasa 12v 12a (YUASA NP12-12) in an UPS that is starting to bulge and the UPS cuts out on larger loads of 100+w but not on smaller loads of less than 60w.
It worked quite well over the two years considering the frequent power cuts and the many short second trips that I noticed during the day. I got the UPS which was second hand and there was date code on the battery. The seller confirmed that this was a replacement battery that he got in 2019.
I know it can be a wear and tear factor as well as the heat in the casing as I noticed it gets very warm in the compartment.
Now if this battery was subjected to lower temperatures within the casing, rare power cuts/trips and used for low voltage stuff then I would give it a 2 star but in this case I think this particular one has performed quite well given the conditions and the power cuts.
Failed in less than 2 years
Failed in less than 2 years. Was a 70ah AGM stop/start for a Renault Captur. After a few weeks the stop/start function on the car no longer appeared as an option. Eventually the car wouldn't start at all. Had to keep it on a trickle charge to use the car. Fitted a Lion battery, same spec. and have had no issues at all. After a battle with the parts supplier, I got a full refund for the Yuasa - these reviews helped my case so I'm returning the favour now. Maybe Yuasa had a good name once, not now.
Yuasa Leisure Battery - Low grade quality
Bought a Yuasa L35-115 12V 115Ah 750A Leisure Battery 2 years ago. Used extremely sparingly. Their website said it was good for 400 chargings, not even done 1/8th of those.
Called their 'customer services' and they said to call Amazon. Amazon said to go back to Yuasa.
Turns out it is guaranteed for 2 years. This battery expired very conveniently for them in 2 years and 7 days.
Totally disappointed in Yuasa, a supposedly top-grade Japanese company. Shan't be using them again.
YBX9020 failed after 5 months
Paid a premium for a YBX9020 to replace the original Varta battery (lasted 8 years) in a Porsche Cayenne and the new Yuasa has failed after 5 months with the cranking power down to about 1/3 even after a full charge. It’s being replaced under warranty. Quite a pain having to remove the passenger seat again to swap a 5 month old battery.
Don't waste your money
My wife and I have a motorbike each. Both with Yuasa batteries. Neither has lasted 2 years. You don't mind paying a premium if your getting quality. But to pay that and get rubbish is a no go.

A truly great battery brand- YUAS
I put a Yusa battery on our last Jeep Grand Cherokee seven years ago when we sold the car it was still performing well - it was a daily drive 4x4.
I rate Yuasa highly - like all batteries if you do not use the vehicle regularly a smart charger is essential to avoid sulphination.
Is YUASA a foreign word for excrement????
I have had al least two of this mob's batteries, supplied by my local garage. My car was fitted with BOSCH, which lasted for over FIVE years. The two from Yuarse lasted for less than a year, They replaced one under pressure from my local garage. I shall never have one fitted again and will go back to BOSCH, at least they are European in name...
1 star is too much 1 stella è troppo
1 star is too much. Bad, contacted the national Yuasa online for information and no response. And they are so expensive with scarce products.
Unbearable.
I don't buy their products, do you?
Other brands are much better and work better and cost less.
