Best customer service I've ever had
Best customer service I've ever had. Quick and easy to talk to and fixed my problem with professionalism.
Much love to Louise and the team :)
We've been waiting for the Fuji rice…
We've been waiting for the Fuji rice cooker to come back in stock now for almost a year and decided to give up and buy the Bamboo rice cooker. It's a brilliant cooker and we are very happy with the purchase.
As others have said here
As others have said here, the guys at this place know so much about what they sell. You can read the passion in their answer and above all see it in what they sell. Very good rice and rice cookers that cook it perfectly well.
I have to apologise
I have to apologise. I complained to Yum Asia that my cooker was broken and insisted that I was doing everything correctly. Yum Asia patiently guided me through the problem solving and it turns out I was using the wrong level lines on my Kumo rice cooker causing the rice to undercook. I really should read user manuals more carefully. Thank you Louise for your patience.
Unparalleled customer support
I bought my first rice cooker ever with this company - the Panda model. It was an amazing experience at the beginning, however with time, the rice cooker started performing worse and burning rice! I've contacted Yum Asia's customer support to ask for advice on which they've been really thorough - giving me all kinds of advice to fix the issue. In the end they even gave me a replacement part (~1 year after purchase) since it turned out to be damaged! Now, it works perfectly as it should!

Tired of paying for expensive rice in restaurants (which I love) but now I can have the same or better from my kitchen. My Bamboo cooker always catches the eye of visiting guests which gets the conversation and their taste buds flowing.
Helpful staff and quick delivery
Helpful staff and quick delivery. So quick that it was 4 days ahead of schedule. Everything was packed well and arrived safely. Thank you.
We trusted Yum Asia for their 20 years…
We trusted Yum Asia for their 20 years of selling authentic Zojirushi cookers. The NS-LAQ05 is slightly smaller than expected but works perfectly and is original.
I'm onto my third cooker with this…
I'm onto my third cooker with this company now. My first was a ZAQ10 by Zojrushi in 2010 which I stupidly gave away. Zoom forward 8 years and I bought their Sakura which was a much improved experience with my rice cooking. So good that last month I upgraded again to a Bamboo induction cooker and I really don't know how rice cooking can get any better than this but Yum Asia always amaze me with their products.
Lost package then found
Lost package then found. I thought it was gone but it was taken to a collection point. I work 6 days a week, quite new online shopping and didn't realise that delivery companies could do this. All arrived safe and sound with the support of Yumasia.
If Zojirushi are the Rolls Royce of…
If Zojirushi are the Rolls Royce of rice cookers then Yum Asia are the flying cars of rice cookers. A level above. Don't think about it. Just buy one and see the difference.

You just be very hard to please if you find any fault with Yum Asia products or service. I can't say enough about how fantastic they were from start to finish.
A friend recommended me to Yum Asia…
A friend recommended me to Yum Asia after I had bought 2 rice cookers from Argos and each of them turned to rubbish after only a few uses. I'm now the owner of a Sakura cooker and bought 2 bags of rice with it. First attempt was successful without any margin for error. Second attempt was even better. Tried to make soup in it expecting it to be a big failure and it was so delicious that I searched online for a second recipe from their recipe blog. Really very impressed.

Use my Panda rice cooker every day and sometimes twice a day. It is the most useful thing I've bought this year and is my most treasured appliance in my home. I can't live without it now.
Good
Good but it could be more easier.
I have ordered the tzuki ceramic inner bowl, as mine was broken,it was little bit difficult to order as I need to show my previous purchase order before able to order it.

A journey I was happy to take
A journey I was happy to take. I went from knowing zero about rice and how to cook it to fully clued up after chatting with the very lovely Louise via the help centre. Thank you Louise. If only all customer agents were as wonderfully helpful as you.

Very good shopping experience where everything made sense. Received tracking soon after order and my order was delivered in a timely manner (within 2 days to Germany). I will try the rice next. My dad bought the jasmine rice and it was very good indeed.
Following is the review of the Kumo…
Following is the review of the Kumo rice cooker for the yum-asia site. There's no chance that they will publish it there so I am publishing it here. It cost me close to £80 so not cheap. I don't think that it's worth that price, customer support is atrocious and not selling parts unless you have an original order number is ridiculous ...
Disappointed with this rice cooker. It’s the first one I’ve bought and am using it often. I regularly use it for plain white rice, YumCarb white rice and rice pudding. Yum Asia will tell you that it’s the best ever and you must be doing something wrong. The quality of the main pan is poor & no way does it have a 2mm thickness of coating as claimed. Rice burns and sticks to the pan on keep warm, no doubt YumAsia will tell me that this is my fault, their rice cookers are perfect in every way.
Edit following response from YumAsia:
I told you that YumAsia would tell me that it is my fault: "... it seems you are using precooked or easy-cook rice, which can lead to sticking issues and the rice not cooking correctly (as mentioned in the manual and on our help pages)." I told you - YumAsia - that I am not using pre-cooked or easy cook rice but it appears that you know better than me what rice I am using.
"You didn't seem to want to hear this advice and became a little rude and insulting to us accusing us of saying our rice cookers 'are perfect in every way' which we never said nor implied."
You have engaged in deception by deliberately misquoting me. I never said your rice cookers are perfect in every way. I said "I don't think that I'll bother asking you anything else - there doesn't seem much point when your products are so wonderful and above reproach." That's about criticism of your products not being permitted. That's also not a personal insult as you engage in.
From your yum-asia.com site "High quality 5 layer 2mm thick Ninja ceramic coated inner bowl". It's ambiguous, possibly deliberately crafted ambiguous language.
I don't expect to be deliberately misquoted and insulted when I make a purchase or review a purchase of a simple electrical appliance. I suggest that you review how you engage with your customers.
2nd review [edit: edit] following response from YumAsia
I apologise for accusing me [edit: you] of deliberately misquoting me. I thought you were referring to the email exchange between us rather than my first review - it's still there unchanged.
The language about the bowl is ambiguous and I suspect that it is deliberately ambiguous.
I don't believe that the rice I am using is pre-boiled.
There are further photographs of rice sticking to the pan which I have not sent you because I feel that there is no point.
I'm uncertain that you should refer to email exchanges between yourself and your customers. Those emails were sent for assistance. It may be illegal to use them for different purposes.
Do you think that it's sensible to argue with your customers?
Can you please reply to my email asking who I complain to about your behaviour?
