Coming into setting up my practice I knew that an excellent client management system was vital to my success. I had used several other ones in the past 10 years and researched around. As a customer I had experience of Power Diary portal and how easy that was to book and change appointments, pay for sessions with my physio etc.
Power Diary has not disappointed me at all now as a business owner. The set up was extremely easy and most of the features are self-explanatory. If they are not clear to you then Power Diary have a video for it. Honestly, there is a video for everything. Not only that but the dedicated customer service team replied to my only query within 15 minutes. I only had the query as I had not clearly looked at the video!
I love the simplicity of the booking features, the instant and fully amendable documents, email templates, invoice templates. You can communicate with your clients with a quick email, text message reminders at a very limited cost, and also they offer Telehealth light which suits my needs. The video service is perfect and all clients report that it is very simple to use with no additional software to be downloaded.
We have been using Power Diary for a few months now. Power Diary feels like a community. The regular webinars are informative and enjoyable. The people behind Power Diary have been accessible and responsive when we needed help. It has been great to see updates and improvements in real time. No practice software will be perfect or meet everyone’s needs but using Power Diary means I don’t feel like I am shouting into a void when I need help with something.
I love having the icd10 codes available on PD. The billing system and SMS are also very easy to use.

Easy to use, very cost effective and takes the stresses out of following up appointments. It’s really improved my show rate

Power Diary is awesome, it takes over so many functions I had to do manually previously. I like how customisable, user friendly and intuitive it is!

A Comprehensive Management System with many useful functions.

I moved to Power Diary a couple of months ago and, having trialled several different platforms, this one is by far the best for my sole trader UK counselling practice. Even in the short time that I have been with PD, they have made some significant improvements. The things I especially like are the automated emails to chase up payments, the ease with which you can send invoices and manage payments (I'm not so fond of the 55p that PD charges for every transaction, on top of the Stripe fees), and the calendar filters so you can see if there are any outstanding notes or unpaid invoices. You can also set your own flags and filter on these. The icons on the calendar view mean that you can see a lot of information on one screen. Navigation is also extremely simple and intuitive. PD is a complicated system, although easy to learn, and so it is probably capable of much more than I realise even now. I have no plans to leave!

Zanda (formally Power Diary) is an excellent practice management solution for small to medium businesses. It has allowed us to grow from a sole practitioner five years ago to a team of over 20 today. It has great customer support and is generally easy to use.

Update since my original review: Since I originally wrote this review, the team has been focusing much more on meaningful features and actively taking feedback from the community, which has been amazing to see. We are really optimistic about the direction they're heading, and with many of the recent improvements, we feel we can finally rate this platform 5/5. As of September 2025, they've added API support to their roadmap, so we're quietly optimistic that many of these integration limitations for larger practices will be resolved.

While Power Diary constantly updates and improves, I previously wanted to see a stronger focus on creating fully-formed, genuinely useful features rather than just "reskinning the platform." The automation feature initially felt very half-baked (why wasn't pre-appointment automation included in the initial launch?!), and the launch of a feature that lets you send default emails depending on whether an invoice was paid or not didn't work with Medicare (it says the invoice is unpaid, despite it being bulk-billed) - also half-baked at the time.
The client portal remains an area that needs upgrade. It's great for one client to see one practitioner, but if you're a parent who sees a psychologist and your daughter sees a different psychologist - well, you need two separate accounts. And if one client sees a psychologist and a naturopath at the same practice, they can only book with one! Even little things like being able to sort by type of appointment, who the appointment is for, or changing your password while logged in aren't options.
Our biggest limitation as we've grown has been the lack of integrations. It won't act as a CRM, connect to our helpdesk, and only supports one payment processor and accounting program. They also don't support enterprise-based SSO (i.e., Azure AD). While we'd still like to see stronger focus on medium-large practices and features that benefit them (integrations, AAD SCIM etc), the recent shift toward community-driven development and the addition of API support gives us real hope for the future.
Overall, despite my gripes, it's been an excellent tool for our practice, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to any small or medium healthcare practice - just be aware that you might find some interesting quirks as you grow. The recent improvements in their development approach make me even more confident in this recommendation.

Power Diary is working well for what we wanted it to do. I was impressed when I had a product improvement that Power Diary let me know when that improvement was made. Thanks Power Diary!

Powerdiary is an excellent resource to have. It is easy to set up and use. It is very efficient for scheduling appointments and it makes writing notes as easy as can be. Powerdiary has exceptional customer support which is quick and very effective at solving any issues that arise. Powediary makes billing and invoicing seamless. The automates appointment reminders is an excellent tool that Powerdiary incorporates. Overall, Powerdiary is a reliable and easy resource which I highly recommend and will continue to use in daily practice.

I love most everything about Power Diary. Super easy to use and has made our client management more efficient. The only changes I would like to see is greater task function and more control over field naming and population.

What I like about Powder Diary is overall it is easy to navigate this platform. However, the steps could be more streamlined for practitioners to get from one page to another. Otherwise, it is a great platform and I have seen how feedback is being taken on board to enhance the experience of organisations, service user and practitioners who use Powder Diary.

Very comprehensive and a big variety of options of scheduling and documentation options!

I'm a small one man practice and I find the package very intuitive. My clients love the reminders that they get.

My experience so far has been wonderful due to the wealth of information and support provided. From recorded webinars, topic guide pages, to in real time chat with a real person. I have experienced respectful interactions with support staff and feel totally supported as I build my private practice.

Generally I have found power diary to be very user friendly with lots of short videos to instruct me on how to use all of the functions of the site. However, I was stuck on one issue, sent a question via online messenger and within a couple of hours had the correct solution with a link for full instructions. The low cost and ease of use is keeping me loyal to this site for my single practitioner counseling practice.
