OVER Communicate from day 1
Don’t let days go by while putting them through “all the things” before telling them you can’t help them because they are in the wrong state.
I understand you have it listed on your website somewhere…. But if they reach out after not seeing the specifics…. Don’t assume they saw the details and are continuing the conversation just for fun… don’t let 3-5 days pass by before telling them you can’t help them due to something you could have said in the first five minutes of chatting with them.

Dangerous and Unethical: Avoid Zappy Health
My experience with Zappy Health has been deeply troubling and highlights severe issues with their business practices. I became a telehealth patient of Zappy Health in December, which partners with a compounding pharmacy called Ousia Pharmacy Corp. However, I later discovered that the medication they sold me—a compounded prescription for tirzepatide—was prepared and shipped illegally.
Ousia Pharmacy does not have the required licenses to compound sterile medications or distribute them to my state (Missouri). This information became public following an administrative complaint filed by the Florida Department of Health, which revealed unsafe practices such as improper storage, failure to refrigerate medications, and missing records.
Initially, Zappy Health acknowledged these issues and promised refunds or replacements. However, they soon reversed their stance, stating they could not afford to provide refunds, leaving me stuck with illegally manufactured medication. Zappy left patients with no real answers about the medication, leaving us to ask Ousia to explain themselves. Ousia's explanations for the medication’s provenance have been inconsistent and verifiably false. When I reached out to confirm the origin of the medication, the alleged third-party compounding pharmacy denied any involvement and pointed out discrepancies in the medication’s labeling, formulation, and expiration dates.
It is also deeply unethical for Zappy Health’s physician to continue assuring patients that the medication is safe and effective when it has been sourced from an unlicensed pharmacy. The FDA specifically warns against such practices, as unlicensed compounding poses serious safety risks. Zappy Health continues to assert that Ousia Pharmacy is licensed, but this claim is misleading. Ousia holds a license as a Community Pharmacy—not as a sterile compounding pharmacy—and they are not licensed at all in Missouri, where my medication was shipped. This deliberate misrepresentation is a breach of trust and patient safety.
I strongly advise anyone considering their services to avoid Zappy Health entirely. While Zappy Health continues to deny responsibility for refunding patients, claiming they are not the pharmacy, their business model does not allow patients to choose which pharmacy their prescriptions are sent to—an option required by law in my state. By restricting this choice, Zappy Health assumes the responsibility to vet their partner pharmacies and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. Their failure to do so has put patients at risk and reflects a gross lack of accountability and professionalism.
Update: Ousia Pharmacy voluntarily relinquished their community pharmacy license pending Florida Board of Pharmacy action due to their illegal sterile compounding operation. Despite this, Zappy is still not giving refunds or replacing the medication illegally compounded by Ousia. Shame on them.
