I love zappyrent

I love zappyrent! They’ve made my moving process an absolute breeze. I got my key ahead of schedule, the agency rep was clean and professional and their office is warm and inviting! I can only give 5 stars but d give more if I could! Best part is they’re honest. I’ve never had an issue with a contract, I highly recommend these guys!

Good model, inexcusably poor execution

ZappyRent have a good business model, but they apparently went cheap on IT. It's been 9 months since I paid my deposit, and my dashboard on their portal still shows me not having paid it, nor does it show the many monthly rents I have paid. When my wallet was stolen, I had to block my credit card and tried to enter a different card on the portal. Despite the fact that I have complained to ZappyRent multiple times about my dashboard not working, they have never fixed it, and it won't allow me to change my credit card on file. ZappyRent sent me an alternative link to pay the rent for December, which I used 9 days ago. The landlord still has not received the rent, and now wants me to wire the money to him since ZappyRent is now taking my money but not passing it on to him. A ZappyRent agent explained to me that their IT people are overwhelmed with work, so it will take them a long time to get to my case. Apparently 9 months isn't enough to fix the problem, which tells me that ZappyRent had a great business model, but they need to sell it to someone who knows how to make it work. It's a pity, because the virtual monopoly of real estate agents in Milan has led to extortionate real estate fees, which ZappyRent avoids.

Useless and misleading platform

Don't rent a flat via Zappyrent because you want the transaction to be safe. I wanted to rent a place in Catania and lost my deposit plus 89€ of fees to them after I arrived to a place completely different than what it was presented online. Even though it was in a way worse condition than what it looked like on the photos, the landlord said that the monthly rent had risen by 100€. He also told me he was turning the place into a Bed and Breakfast plus he was living in the place himself, which was not at all mentioned before. The customer support was friendly but unhelpful and wasn't of any use really. In the end, Zappyrent only protects the landlords, not the people looking for a flat, so be careful and maybe consider looking for some other renting website.

I would like to remind you that we promptly provided to assist you in solving the issue and finding an alternative accommodation in the same area you booked, furthermore at a cheaper price. However you decided to do on your own and show up after a few days stating that you agreed privately with landlord and avoiding our website and claiming a refund, in this case without a valid reason since you infringed our terms and conditions as well. So, please i kindly invite you check the facts before bad-reviewing people who did their best to help and find you a solution in no-time.

Never again zappyrent

If you need a place to stay please look for any other than zappyrent and I'll explain.
1. From january they changed 3 times the manager of the residence and if you ask to who you have to remit for something they don't answer.
2. You can not ask if the're gonna repair something damaged before the arrival 'cause they'll say that is your responsability and that they can recomend where to repair.
3. They're respectfull if you ask by mail before being a tenant, but after it they are unrespectfull and unneserarily rude.
4. They never come for the keys when a tenent leaves and they do not come to introduce anything to the new tenent.
5. Anything in home has a maintance and if you ask they'll tell you that everything is your responsability.
(I refer to washing machines, dryer, kitchen supply that is actually done, etc.)

Repairs or general work within the accommodation must be approved by the owner and carried out by the owner or, at most, the tenant.

We always respond in a courteous manner and are keen to meet the customer's needs and make them as satisfied as possible.

Check-in and check-out, except in some cases, are handled directly between owner and tenant, so that arrangements can be made according to the commitments of both.

Damage or repairs inside the flat are the responsibility of the tenant or the owner, depending on the extent of the damage and who caused it.
