I had some me fraudulent transactions on my Zolve credit card while I was travelling outside US. Zolve resolved it and provided me a new credit card within a month.
Great online customer service.

This is based upon my experience of 3 months of using Zolve (that's the reason I have given it a 4 star instead of a 5 now and if there are no further problems I may come back re-edit this review with updates to make it 5) .

First off, as a starting bank account in the US, Zolve was the one and only banking solution which I found where I could easily open a checking account after arriving from India, while my SSN was under process and I desperately needed a bank account for my employer to process my US salary. The ease of opening the account combined with the basic documentation became a boon for starting off in the US and this is truly a strong point of Zolve.

Secondly, they can provide a physical Debit and Credit card which helps with starting off on your expenses and your credit journey. Note: Before providing the Credit card they will pull the credit record you are maintaining in India and then provide a suitable starting limit based on that so if you have a good credit score you should receive a better or higher limit. I was able to get a good limit and was able to start using their card with limit and merchant setup done from the first day.

Thirdly, their funds transfer feature to bank accounts back in India is a sure and reliable way to transfer so far from what I have seen with the fastest turnaround over other solutions with better rates. They use TransferWise for the conversion and transfer and so far amongst the transfer apps Zolve provides the best and most competitive rates for transfer combined with the fastest transfer speeds (first time setup excluded). The first time setup for the transfer takes around 3-4 days to establish the link with the bank and post that it's quick.

All good and rosy so far, now heres one of the bits some people may find concerning.

The Bank behind the App: Zolve is a Fintech solution (similar to Jupiter back in India for those familiar) which is its own entity but there is a bank that it's tied to which is actually providing the banking services like the checking account, credit, Debit cards etc. and that bank is Community Federal Savings Bank. Now, if anyone searched on the history of this bank they will notice it hasn't had the best track record and has even received a ceise and desist notice from FDIC in the past though they have moved past that and appear to be now functioning much better. The account one gets is FDIC insured so there is less chance that your money will disappear if something does go wrong.
Their Credit Card closing service: What would you do if you need to close your credit card at some point? Since Zolve is a Fintech solution there is no bank you can go to and I am not sure how CFSB would directly handle if you went to them. Based upon what they have mentioned in their site it appears you need to drop an email to their customer care for the closure and they should take care of it. There is a closing fee applicable.

These are two of the things which concerned me but based upon my experience so far with the Zolve and their CFSB products, there have been no issues and they are providing robust service in the best way possible. If you are someone who has recently arrived in the US and are struggling to open a bank account owing to requirements like SSN or a permanent address as soon as you arrive to open your account Zolve is definitely a solution I can recommend at this time. As I understand it's also possible to setup your Zolve account from India before arriving to the US but that's if you are aware and have necessary Visa, travel and identity documentation.

Great card for any lifestyle.

The most attractive offer for me is the 5% bonus categories, which range from Amazon to Doordash to Patel brothers to NYC Metro and everything in between. I have seen no other credit card do that. This makes it better than all other cards I have, like Chase Freedom Unlimited, Amazon Prime Rewards, and Amex Blue Cash Everyday. This is my go-to card for anything from grocery to the metro to dinner takeouts to movies at AMC; all give me 5% cashback.

The only con is that I manually need to do a scratch card redemption on every purchase to get that cash back, which has now become a nuisance.

Zolve is good, it help me get going as soon as I land in usa.

The best credit card a student can get in the market.

Zolve helps in many ways for a new mover to USA, for instance their Credit card facility with out SSN is great.

I liked the super fast transaction process, fast delivery of debit and credit cards, and smooth process of account related operations from scratch.

Zolve made my move to US so easy. I was able to see my credit limit and virtual credit card even when in India. I took a selfie after reaching US and the virtual CC activated within an hour. The physical card was received within a week. The customer support team is also spot on, quick and effective.

Zolve cannot be your primary account.
1) No credit score reporting yet. They keep sending emails they signed up to a new credit reporting agency etc., but, I haven't seen any credit card related usage being reported when I check using NerdWallet, SavvyMoney etc..
2) Plaid integration - this leaves so much to be desired that almost all payments or account access mechanisms use Plaid and Zolve doesn't integrate with it. Even though CFSB integrates, they aren't syncing Zolve user account details to CFSB and hence, we cannot use Plaid.

Apart from these two major issues, Money is kept safe i guess, I haven't seen spurious transactions or any charges applied so far. So, it is good from that front.

I relocated to US and started with zolve credit card. It was very important to have a credit card before SSN and zolve did it. The customer service through convenient chat is very good and all your questions are answered instantly. Thank you to zolve team.

Zolve made my life the easiest. It's. A pain to do anything in the US without SSN and they issued me. A bank account and a credit card digital one even before I took off and the moment I landed the physical card reached in 4 days time...it's amazing...good work guys

The fact that every transaction large or small is notified by a text msg immediately makes me feel very secure using the Zolve credit card
