Extremely poor service and communication
I placed an order with Scandinavian Photo on December 15th, 2026. Their website showed that all items were in stock, and I received an order confirmation immediately. I also received tracking information the same day, so I expected the order to be shipped shortly. However, nothing happened until December 17th, when only part of my order was handed over to the courier—without any information from Scandinavian Photo about what had actually been shipped.
When I contacted customer service, I was told that some items were not in stock after all and wouldn’t be available until December 18th.
I explained that I was travelling on December 20th and needed the full order before then. I was assured by a representative named Camilla that it would be fine. Despite this, the package wasn’t dropped off at the post office until December 20th—the day I left.
I informed them that they should simply let the package return to sender, as I would be unable to pick it up before the deadline. The package did return to Scandinavian Photo, but instead of processing the return, they sent it back to me a second time. I was then told that I had to pick it up myself and return it using the included return form.
I did exactly that on January 22nd. On February 15th, I finally received a refund—but only 3,918 NOK of the original 5,216 NOK. This entire process happened without any proactive communication or updates from their customer service department.
I will never purchase anything from Scandinavian Photo again. Their communication is poor, their follow-up is unreliable, and they do not deliver on what they promise.
