Extremely poor service and communication

I placed an order with Scandinavian Photo on December 15th, 2026. Their website showed that all items were in stock, and I received an order confirmation immediately. I also received tracking information the same day, so I expected the order to be shipped shortly. However, nothing happened until December 17th, when only part of my order was handed over to the courier—without any information from Scandinavian Photo about what had actually been shipped.
When I contacted customer service, I was told that some items were not in stock after all and wouldn’t be available until December 18th.
I explained that I was travelling on December 20th and needed the full order before then. I was assured by a representative named Camilla that it would be fine. Despite this, the package wasn’t dropped off at the post office until December 20th—the day I left.
I informed them that they should simply let the package return to sender, as I would be unable to pick it up before the deadline. The package did return to Scandinavian Photo, but instead of processing the return, they sent it back to me a second time. I was then told that I had to pick it up myself and return it using the included return form.
I did exactly that on January 22nd. On February 15th, I finally received a refund—but only 3,918 NOK of the original 5,216 NOK. This entire process happened without any proactive communication or updates from their customer service department.
I will never purchase anything from Scandinavian Photo again. Their communication is poor, their follow-up is unreliable, and they do not deliver on what they promise.

Received an empty box

Made and paid for an order. The package went on its way and PostNord claims they attempted delivery but I was not at home. I was, so this is not true. PostNord than took almost a week to deliver the package to a pickup point where I immediately picked it up. God knows what happened to the package in this week. Long story short, the package turned out to be empty. I contacted the shop with this information but they only made me responsible for proving the package was empty while i am legally no part what so ever in the shipping process. They then refused to reimburse me.

Order delays

I bought an Asus Proart Display

I bought an Asus Proart Display from them. Eventhough I was supposed to recieve it in 3-4 working days, I recieved it in the next business day. It's in good shape and I haven't had any issues with the Monitor. Probably will buy from them in the future.

I purchased a complete Synology NAS…

I purchased a complete Synology NAS setup with six disks, and one disk failed during the warranty period. After Synology confirmed the fault, I returned it to SP, who also conducted their own checks, despite Synology having already confirmed the eligibility for the guarantee. Instead of sending me a new disk, they claimed the disk is no longer available. I turned to Synology, yes, it is still available. I got back to SP, and they would only return the money for which the disk was purchased. NO COMPENSATION FOR THE YEARS PASSED, INFLATION, JUST MONEY BACK. It's like saying: We do not care you bought your NAS with us, go with your problem somewhere else... Yes, that is what I am doing now. See you never again!

Went in looking to buy a display

Went in to the Vasagatan store, looking to buy a display. Ignored by staff, had to interrupt two chatting staff members who didn’t seem to want to help, and turned out to be unknowledgeable. Terrible service. On top of the bad service, it was impossible to test any screens, they are all locked playing some demo (which looked terrible). When asked why the screens seemed to look over saturated and stuttering, she didn’t know, and said maybe they aren’t set up correctly, or they haven’t warmed up… You’d think they didn’t want to sell anything! Been a customer of Scandinavianphoto for the last 10 years or more! Won’t be going there again. Gone downhill.

They promised prioritized delivery…

They promised prioritized delivery which I paid 100 kr for, in hope that my order would arrive in 1-2 days as they had promised. However, they forgot to mention that the product I ordered was back-ordered and would not be able to be shipped from their warehouse in 7 days…

Two times I have tried to order an item…

Two times I have tried to order an item from them with the promise of having it delivered within 1-2 days.

The first time, I asked for a refund after not having heard anything from them on day 4, and the second time I asked for a refund after not having heard from them on day 7.

The refund can also take anyway up to ten days. That's ten days that they keep the customers money.

Their customer service is ridiculously bad.

Never step foot in that shop again

Never step foot in that shop again. They selling used products to new consumers as new! Very rude and disrespectful to consumers selling as new the serial number is being used and find out is new type added on the box over old type serious what waste of time they flashing costumer with return product sell as new same price!

Problematic Stock/shipping estimates and times

A strange experience due to items shown being in stock online and showing shipping very fast. Then I am emailed saying one item will not be carried anymore and they can only send 1 of 2 that were ordered since they will not restock... OK... They were fast to refund at least.... I was then told that the third item should arrive to their warehouse the next day and they will send it out... then, 7 days of waiting (one item arrived alone) so I cancelled the remaining item and ordered from elsewhere...

Customer service reps were very fast to respond. money refunded quickly.

The one item that did arrive out of 3 was packaged very well to protect from damage. Much better than practically any other company i've seen in recent memory. So, quite good when you are ordering expensive delicate things... if they get shipped

Delivery time - never?

Found a product that I wanted to order. I paid for it, and they sent me the tracking code. The tracking code says, "waiting for delivery from the seller to the post office." That's all I can see. They mentioned a delivery time of 2-3 business days, but it's been more than a week, and the delivery has yet to begin. The support service doesn't have any information on when the delivery will happen. I didn't order something unique; I ordered just watches that can be purchased anywhere. However, in this store, they cost approximately 100 euros less. This might be the issue. I'm really disappointed that I didn't read these reviews before making this purchase. I believe that if the delivery time is so unpredictable, it should be explicitly mentioned, rather than promising 2-4 business days, which is not true.

I ordered Adam Audio T8V active studio…

I ordered Adam Audio T8V active studio speaker.
They didn't have it in storage so they had to order it.
Still it came in around a week. It was in its original package which luckily was enough, wish it had had another box around as if anything would have hit on it it would have gone through the box as it was not very sturdy material. Anyways got my excellent quality product and most likely continue to be their customer.

This webshop is miserable

Don’t buy from them!

I bought 3 instant mini film. They shipped one and said that the other 2 were out of stock. I never got a refund. They show products on the website that they don’t have, but they let you buy them and never ship.
Be aware, stay away from this website, it’s a trap, they will steal money from you and you will never see your order or a refund. Customer service is an automatic reply, there’s no one replying you.
Never again!

Amazing service

Amazing service! Fast, helpfull and very polite (shopped online)
They told me my order would be delayed due to one item. That item is now going to be shipped seperatly later (forfree).
Many does not even give this information yet alone a choice in the matter.

Be aware of "Open box" items

I bought a monitor from Scandinavian Photo. The product was sold as "open box" with A grade. Open box usually means the previous customer bought the item brand new and returned it without using or using it only a short time. But not on SP.

The monitor worked for one evening perfectly and next day some flickering appeared and finally the monitor went completely black. Ok, bad luck. Called to SP and manufacturer service. After few days of calling and emailing the service informed me that a monitor with a similar S/N has already been there, though for a different reason. At the point they repaired it last time, the monitor had already been 5-6 months in use. The original date of purchase was half a year ago. So "Grade A" and "open box" didn't meet my standards and I returned the monitor.

I got my money back after two weeks of waiting. They didn't return the shipping fees, which was only few euros but I don't understand why I should pay a single penny when they sell an item with false information. So, wasted some euros and a lot of time and in return got some apologies from SP customer service. In a case like this I was waiting something more. Even a call with an explanation would have been nice. Only silence makes me think if that was just another day at the office for them and there's no reason to resolve this thoroughly.

When buying "open box" items from Scandinavian Photo, I recommend to call to the official service and ask if they already have some service information of your product.

In my case I was lucky the monitor broke so quickly and they weren't able to deny or explain anything. I gave two stars instead of one because the customer service lady was nice and very helpful.

Store is beautiful but the service is…

Store is beautiful but the service is not that great not customer friendly service. They have strict policy I ask could they reserve an item for me to pick up by next day. But unfortunately they don’t want do that and I bought several products from them but if they continue to treat the costumers unfriendly I will buy elsewhere enough choices to buy my gears

Unclear delivery times...

Delivery options don't take into account the fact that the item might not be in stock. No indication when ordering that it might take weeks for the item to arrive despite choosing "1-2 days delivery time". This is borderline dishonest.
