Rhenden and his team are outstanding. My daughter has a 1:1 with him/Lewis, they are so encouraging and enthusiastic, they push her to give her best, teaching her new skills, and working on the basics. They have boosted her confidence massively. I highly recommend them.

Cannot recommend Rhenden and his team highly enough. Our son had a dip in confidence and decided to drop a league with his football. With Rhen’s support he has developed into a confident player and has just won the National cup with Chorley FC. Rhenden installed confidence in my son and taught him how to play without fear by maximising his key strengths of speed and vision. Our son has been attending 1 Athlete Football for 3 years and still loving it. This has included Futsal, weekly group sessions and football camps. The coaching provided by Rhenden and his coaches truly is top-tier. It is clear that the they genuinely care about the kids, not just their football ability but also their confidence, mindset and love for the game.

The sessions are high-energy and purposeful. Every drill is explained clearly, there’s always a reason behind what they’re doing and players get constant constructive feedback and encouragement that helps them improve. This isn’t just cones, running and a kick about - they’re learning real football, technical skills, tactical awareness, mental resilience, teamwork and how to think for themselves on the pitch - all in a way that’s age appropriate, engaging and supportive.

Rhenden and Matt Hill are fantastic role models for any kid. They’re knowledgeable, extremely approachable and strike the perfect balance between pushing players whilst keeping it fun and enjoyable. Most importantly our son still looks forward to every session and come away with a smile and having learned something he can put into practice come game time.

The facilities at Leyland are great, everything runs smoothly and the atmosphere is always welcoming and positive. If you’re looking for a proper player development environment that develops your child both on and off the pitch then I highly recommend 1 Athlete Football.

Rhenden has been a huge part in my children’s football journey, helping two of my sons to sign for academy football and my youngest into pre academy.
1 Athlete Football is fun, challenging, encouraging and nurturing. Every 1-1 session is planned in depth around individual development and targets. Group session are always high energy, full of fun and competitive. The relationship Rhenden builds with the players is brilliant. Superb coach!

Profession experience makes such a difference at 1 athlete, my son plays academy football at Blackpool and these guys are able to tailor development to specific individual needs psychological and technical input has really brought him on, most importantly he thoroughly enjoys the sessions

My son has only had a couple of sessions with Rhenden but the sessions which he has had have been brilliant! The lads are constantly moving and the sessions are intensive and free flowing which i like. Great coach! Would highly recommend.

Rhenden & the team are amazing at what they do. Our eldest started a few years back, enjoying the Futsol training & 1:2:1 & jumps at the chance to attend any camps these guys put on. So much so that our daughter begged us to secure her a spot. She attends weekly training with the team & loves it. The positive attitude, professionalism & fun that all the team bring to these sessions is second to none. Highly recommend for any aspiring footballer - or any kid that wants the best footballing training & experience.

All coaching sessions at 1 Athlete Football are fantastic whether it is a 1 on 1 or group session. Sessions are tailored to the individual or groups skill level. Rhenden the coach is professional, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and positive. My son quickly improved his skill level and it is great to see him carry this into his weekend games. He’s started to look like a footballer on and off the ball and quickly established his starting position in his team. It’s a great opportunity in becoming awesome at something you love.

We honestly can’t thank Rhenden enough for the impact he’s had on both of our boys, Jude and Jese. He’s been coaching them since they were just 4 years old, starting with futsal and gradually moving into more focused 1-to-1 and small group sessions. His commitment, passion, and belief in them has been incredible and we know for a fact it’s played a huge part in their development.

Jude has been with Blackburn Rovers since U6 and is now U13. Jese, who is currently U9, is part of Blackburn’s Training Development programme. Their progress is no coincidence Rhenden has helped shape them into the players they are today. His coaching is challenging, tailored, and full of encouragement. He genuinely cares about how they’re doing, constantly checks in, and gives them things to work on at home.

He’s the perfect balance of tough and nurturing, he pushes them to be their best but also celebrates every achievement along the way. Rhenden doesn’t just develop skills, he builds confidence, discipline, and a real love for the game.
