Great service by Chris but shame about the guys on site
Chris Fellone was exceptionally helpful when the MPRN number was not registered correctly. I was most impressed with the efforts he went to to keep me informed and to sort out the problem.
It is a shame that the team on site were not so helpful. My builder was forced to dig the drive up three times as the gas fitters changed their minds as to how the ducting and gas connection should be laid. This slowed up the build and created significant inconvenience for all concerned.

I completely understand why you are dissatisfied with the engineers conduct and as I am sure you are aware Chris has been in contact with your builder directly in an attempt to get to the bottom of the problems encountered on site.
It is extremely frustrating that our engineers could not use the ducting laid initially and the attitude of the engineers and break down in communication did lead to a slight delay in the works. Our engineers attempted to draw upon their experience in order to avoid unnecessary abort fees and charges, however this has affected our overall customer service. For this I am very sorry and I know it is unacceptable.
I believe that Chris and your builder have had lengthy discussions and both are satisfied the complaints have been dealt with in a swift and professional manner. New procedures have been put in place to avoid any repeats of this issue going forward.
Thank you once again for your invaluable feedback which helps us on the rare occasions we don't perform to the standard I would expect.

Our project managers were flabbergasted.
They were seriously shocked at how efficiently the planning was organised, with short lead times which then made them have to delay as no one was ready! Even the rearranging was easy and happened exactly as promised. A wholly different experience to the usual utility company. Well done.

Smoothed the bumps
It was great dealing with Chris from 1Gas. It is a very confusing process with many government offices and companies involved. I was a lot easier dealing with one contact.
The semi-concealed boxes provided were not very pretty, but not much alternative. The Engineers weren't careful installing them, but we were given new lids.

Patience and perseverance...thank you
Having been presented with a meter problem we certainly had not anticipated I contacted 1gas.The communication was excellent and Chris was so very patient. Once he was given the go ahead by us, it all happened very quickly. The SGN guys were superb...excellent in every way and all went smoothly. We now have the biggest meter box on the planet...but them are the rules!!!
