Don't use these guys ever
Don't use these guys ever. Very misleading and very costly. PCV door was broken. The guy had everything dismantled before quoting a price. Wanted to charge £400 which I refused and agreed £260 which I thought was for total replacement kit. Within 20 mins all the old mechanism was back on the door. I was told they fitted a new gear box (which I am not too sure about). Paid up - but wont ever use again. Company is GLSS LTD

I am sorry that you were left unsatisfied but I have to disagree with the review you have written as it does not reflect on the situation as it really happened and is in some ways unfair considering the circumstances. You were initially not happy with the fact that the mechanism required to be changed but did agree on doing the job which meant you agreed with the labour costs as well as parts. 3 months later, you advised that there was a fault with the mechanism but did not contact us to resolve this, although we clearly explained that any parts fitted are under 12-months warranty and should there be a problem, we come out to resolve the issue free of charge. You had refused for us to come and even have a look at the issue and decided to call out a different company all together, requesting a full refund from us which was not fair as works had been completed at that stage. Also, the initial job was done in April and you requested a full refund in July, this request could not be met as 3 months have passed with the door working and labour work completed. Even if there really was a problem with the mechanism 3 months later (this does happen unfortunately as any product can have a manufacturers fault) you should have contact us and we would've been more than happy to rectify this for you. I apologise, as has all our team, that you were not completely satisfied in the end but this could have been sorted out with no problem, but you just wanted a full refund without allowing us to address the issue as per our terms & conditions.
Once again, we are sorry for a negative encounter and appreciate any feedback from every customer because that is what helps us improve our services.

Fast and efficient service from…
Fast and efficient service from beginning to end, from initial phone call request to work completion. Very pleasant to deal with. Initially it was thought that it would be an expensive job, replacing two different types of locks however Andy quickly determined that he could actually repair the more expensive lock thereby saving me cost. So I can confidently say that this guy is true to advertising with no unnecessary work carried out. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I need a replacement door lock urgently. I rang and within the hour a representative had arrived, replaced the lock and completed the job. On my experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Many thanks and definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Outstanding service
Outstanding! I broke the upvc lock on my front door at 0600 on a Tuesday before work. After failing to fix it myself I called glss after calling round a few other locksmiths who didn’t pick up. 1 minute chat, quote on the labour charge and a 30-40 minute wait time.
Arrived bang on 40 mins and was a pleasant locksmith who got to work immediately explaining it to me as he went on.
Located the problem immediately and rather than upselling told me the issue, the price of the replacement gear box and worked quickly. 20 minutes later the gear box was replaced, adjustments to the original door hinges and a complimentary adjustment to the lock itself.
The door works better than it ever had. Paid by card on the spot and received all invoices via email.
I even made it to work on time. Expensive morning but what would you expect for such a problem and labour costs. The price was to be expected at around £250. Upvc doors aren’t cheap.
