It gets better….

I’ve been using 9 AM health for about four months now. Initially, it was very frustrating dealing with the Care team via the chat function as I did not feel everyone was on the same page. I was getting messages regarding the start of my medication, when I had not even received prior authorization to start the medication, but eventually it all got worked out. Now I actually enjoy using the app, completing the modules and having the coaching sessions. The biggest upside to me is the convenience of using the app and not having to physically go into a medical office as well as not having to deal with prior authorization. That was such a huge struggle with the PA department at my primary care, it would take 3 to 6 months for prior authorization which caused months of disruption with my medication. With 9 AM health that is taken care of for me automatically and now it has been such a stress reliever, one less thing I have to worry about.

I recently was hired to work there at first things seemed to be fine, however on the third day of work they told me that I was not able to navigate on the computer just because I had some technical issues. Plus these people don’t give you explanatory info when it comes to training it’s crazy how the first two day you watch power points and answer questions do quizzes and they call that training. On the third day they throw you to apparently practice the system and they expect you to know it right away who does that?

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry that your time with our team was frustrating, and we want you to know that your feedback is heard.

Improving our onboarding and training is something we're continuously working on, and reviews like yours help inform that process.

At the same time, technical aptitude is a core requirement across all of our roles, as it has a direct impact on the experience of the patients and customers we serve. Our managers are entrusted with ensuring their teams have the foundational skills to deliver that standard of care, and occasionally, it becomes clear early on that a role may not be the right fit. We do our best to screen for technical skills during recruitment, though we understand that isn't a perfect process.

We truly wish you the best in finding a role that's a great match for your skills and goals, and we'll carry your feedback forward as we work to make the experience better for future team members.

It has been great.

It has been great. Everyone is very helpful and is very informative. Never used telehealth before, so I was apprehensive at first. But, it has been a great experience.

Don't Do It! Go Elsewhere.

I signed up and paid my $119 for the first month. My intent was to get approved for a GLP-1 medication. They do not reply to requests on their website or app.I have also sent them 2 emails. Crickets

Love convenience!

App is easy to use and videos are informative. Took several months to get a medication prescribed, and had some trouble with refills with increasing dosage over time, but the issue finally got resolved and switched medications. The convenience of working with a team on an app is very nice compared to making an appointment at a drs office and spend an entire afternoon away from work to be billed an outrageous copay. Amazon pharmacy also offers a lower price for most medications and it’s mailed directly to your home! No more driving to the pharmacy and standing in a long line! Love that!

If there was a negative star option they would get it

Update as of 7/22/26

I follow through and complete the “12 week program” to only be given more modules to complete and told to wait until I speak with the “coach” to find out the next steps. So what I do next is a secret to me until my “coach” call. But long story short - there are more than 12 modules.

——————————————-

If there was a negative star option, 9am Health would receive it.

My experience with 9am Health has been beyond frustrating—it has been misleading, invasive, and completely disrespectful to patients who need consistent care.

I have already been prescribed and taking my medication for over a year. This is not a new diagnosis or a trial situation. Yet 9am Health is now forcing me into a completely unnecessary and excessive process just to possibly continue the same medication.

They require daily weigh-ins, photos of meals, and participation in a 12-week program—all with no guarantee that I will receive the medication at the end. Let that sink in: you can comply with everything they ask, and they can still deny you access to a treatment you’ve ALREADY been successfully using.

That is not care. That is a barrier.

What makes this worse is the complete lack of transparency. None of these requirements were clearly communicated upfront. These expectations were introduced after I was already engaged in care, which feels deceptive and manipulative.

When my treatment was interrupted, there was zero urgency. No real support. No case number. No one taking ownership. I was simply told to figure it out elsewhere with my prescribing physician, which defeats the entire purpose of using a service that claims to provide ongoing care and support.

Instead of advocating for patients, 9am Health shifts the burden onto them while enforcing rigid, one-size-fits-all requirements that ignore individual medical history.

Requiring invasive tracking and a lengthy program with no guaranteed outcome—just to access medication you’ve already been prescribed—is outrageous.

This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and completely avoidable with basic transparency and patient-centered care.

If you are considering 9am Health, understand this: what they advertise and what you actually experience can be very different.

I would not recommend this service to anyone who values clear communication, continuity of care, or being treated with basic respect as a patient. They are working with insurance companies to keep this medication out of patients hands. The greed and lack of true patient care is in epic proportions.

I enrolled with this company one week…

I enrolled with this company one week ago being forced by my insurance company to do so in order to have my glp1 covered. I uploaded everything they needed and still have heard nothing from an actual person. I’ve sent in 3 requests to have someone call me but no phone call yet. I’m going on my 2 weeks without my meds that my endocrinologist prescribed me bc my triglycerides were over 1000 and cholesterol over 600 when I started the meds 2 years ago. I am livid that I have to deal with this company just to get the medicine I need for the good of my overall health especially since my triglycerides and cholesterol are in a perfect range. This angers me to no end

Finally have hope weight wise.

The weekly modules help me refocus, the 1:1 meetings help me make monthly goals and be honest with everything. Getting the labs and mediation were easy. All together it's helped me to get where I'm finally hopeful weight wise.
