A Bike Thing is the best!

A Bike Thing is very helpfull in helping you choose the best options/products but also with technical help in how to install everything in the best way. Next to that, if I order something products are alsways shipped very fast (I received my last order within a day and live abroad!) and are packeged well. Very happy customer here!

Just to add some context to this one — your order was placed on Saturday 4th April, and in the UK we were closed for the Easter period (Good Friday through to Bank Holiday Monday).

We returned on Tuesday and were met with a significant backlog — this is a very busy time of year for us with customers preparing bikes for the season, and we had hundreds of orders and enquiries to work through.

Your order was processed and dispatched on Wednesday 8th April as part of that catch-up.

We appreciate the delay isn’t ideal, but this was down to the holiday period combined with exceptionally high demand on our return.

Disappointing experience overall.
I was charged £10.94 for delivery on a small item, which already feels excessive. This was described as a next-day service, however the item did not arrive the next day from when I placed the order.
I raised this directly with the company and did not receive any follow-up response, yet I was later asked to leave a review.
Charging premium delivery rates without delivering a true next-day experience, and then not properly addressing customer feedback, reflects poorly on the overall service.
I would suggest reviewing both delivery pricing and communication with customers.

To clarify the timeline on your order:

Your order was placed on 8th April at 1:36pm and was picked, packed, and ready for collection by 2:24pm the same day. Unfortunately, this was just outside of the daily DHL collection window, so it was collected on the 9th and delivered on the 10th. Tracking will reflect this.

So while it didn’t arrive the next day from the point of ordering, it was delivered on a next working day service from the point of courier collection, which is how these services operate.

On delivery costs, we completely understand the frustration. We’re seeing the same impact from rising fuel surcharges and carrier pricing as everyone else at the moment. It’s not something we’re inflating ourselves, but rather costs being passed on to us by couriers.

That said, we are actively working on introducing lower-cost options for smaller items (e.g. Royal Mail services). Due to the scale of our operation, this has to be built properly into our systems with automation rather than done manually, but it is something we’re addressing.

On the communication point, we do handle a very high volume of enquiries daily, and while we aim to respond to everything, occasionally messages can be missed, which we acknowledge isn’t ideal and are continually working to improve.

The Service was exceptional

The Service was exceptional. Their knowledge and attention to detail in their work is second to none. I would highly recommend them and would definitely go back for any future mods I have on my bike.
