Did a group bouldering / climbing trip and it was great. The instructor was friendly, professional, new exactly how to deal with the different ability / confidence levels, and the safety was sensible and sufficient without being over-the-top.

We recently took a group of KS4 PRU students on a caving experience, and I honestly cannot recommend this Acclimbatize highly enough.

From start to finish, the session was exceptionally well delivered. The level of challenge was spot on—pushing students out of their comfort zones while still feeling safe, achievable, and rewarding. This is no easy task with a group that can present a wide range of behavioural and engagement needs, but the instructor handled it with absolute professionalism.

What really stood out was how engaging the experience was. Every student was involved throughout, and the session cleverly incorporated theoretical elements alongside the practical activities, which added real depth and purpose to the experience.

The instructor was outstanding—extremely personable, calm, and adaptable. They took the time to understand the group and seamlessly tailored their approach to meet both the academic and behavioural needs of each student. As a result, we saw students succeed in ways we don’t always get to see in a classroom setting.

This was more than just a trip—it was a genuinely impactful learning experience that built confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

We will absolutely be booking again. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect from start to finish. Easy to book, straightforward communication and Andy and Andy were brilliant. They really supported us through the process of abseiling (most of us for the first time) with humour and warmth. We trusted them immediately and could see how experienced they were.

What an absolutely wonderful experience! I felt skeptical booking this for my family of 4 (2 daughters aged 9 and 5) as I felt uncertain as to whether the team could cater to all ages. However, the team and experience surpassed all of my expectations. Every team member we came across was so lovely and friendly and our trip leader, Matt, was outstanding - he showed such patience and kindness when my daughter was nervous with the abseiling part of the event. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish (we did half a day of rock climbing and canoeing) and both myself and my husband felt it was worth every penny - a great experience in some beautiful settings.

The team are fun. we took 22 Explorer scouts caving and they had a great time. the group was well managed and it was made fun and very safe.

The office are great at responding to emails so all in all a great experience. this is the 2nd time we have used them

The guides were really helpful, knowledgeable and encouraging but above all made the events really good fun with a wide variety. One of the best companies I have used for activities as a scout leader

Our instructor was just excellent. So friendly, relaxed an knowledgeable. He managed to make a group of people, who were 90% all terrified of heights, feel calm and marginally less terrified!
I really wasn't looking forward to it, but ended up having an excellent day and felt a real sense of achievement!

I booked Acclimbatize for a work offsite and the team were absolutely amazing. I had some quite specific ideas of what I wanted, some team games with competition in the morning and activities, such as archery, axe throwing in the afternoon and obviously lots of fun. The Acclimbatize team planned the day perfectly. The whole team absolutely loved all of the activities and we all had a fantastic day. I couldn't recommend Acclimbatize more highly.

We had an outstanding evening with Acclimatise paddling down the Derwent in Canadian Canoes. The activity was excellently organised and the instructor knowledgable and helpful. A memorable evening for all the right reasons.

We are a registered charity and took 20 members of our community for a great activity day involving scrambling at Black Rocks and canoeing on the Cromford Canal.
It was just brilliant and participants have told us how much they enjoyed us and that the day will live long in their memories. Such fun involving great teamwork and appropriate individual challenges.
Expert and sensitive facilitators who taught and encouraged in equal measure.

Another fantastic experience with Acclimbatize, who have been running events for our group of 20 adults and 20 children for the past four years - climbing, archery, axe throwing and bushcraft. Everything is professionally run, making everyone feel safe and confident to take part, the team are knowledgeable and lovely people, and it's a lot of fun! I'm sure we will be back again next year.

my son and i had a wonderful day learning to climb and understand rope work. Andy was our superb and experienced instructor, he was patient and worked at our pace.

The friendliness of the instructor (Chris) was fantastic. He went at the level we were able to manage and stretched us just enough out of our comfort zones that built our confidence, while reasuring us all the time. His knowlage of the area was brilliant.

Well worth the money, had an amazing day, instructor was great easy to talk to, he made the trip interesting and enjoyable.

We booked two adventurous activities for our Scout Troop whilst on Summer Camp in Derbyshire. Sam and his team were great. They provided two excellent activities for us at a good price. They were very flexible and a pleasure to deal with. The two instructors, Chas and Leon, were fantastic; very knowledgeable, really great with the Scouts and delightful company for the leaders.

I recently took part in a full day of vertical caving. Chris, our main guide, and Aaron, who was building experience towards being a group leader, were both friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about caving.

They explained the geology of the two caves we went down and how people have used them in the past. This gave me a deeper appreciation of the unique environment, which I felt rounded out the day.

The experience lasted the full day (09:15-17:00) and consisted of going down two caves, each of which had its own character and feel. Both of the caves were superb choices as it was my first time caving. The first cave offered an appreciable amount of rope work and the second cave offered a chance for crawling and squeezing. Each cave was a good challenge, but was perfectly suitable for beginners.

The entire day offered exceptionally good value for money. I went as part of a group of two and we were surprised when Chris informed us we were the only ones. Considering both of us thoroughly enjoyed it, the skills and knowledge demonstrated by Chris and Aaron, the excellent choices of caves and the fact that the experience lasts the full day, I am still utterly blown away.
