Waste of time
Waste of time. It throws you out when you are in the middle of watching things, and a lot of programs that I would like to watch it says not available in my country. Complained to customer service, who came back with the excuse that it was old or outdated links, when I was using their app on my smart TV. They said the tech team was aware of the issues, which i think I read somewhere they said that last year to a customer. I said I was going to cancel and they offered me a free month, but what is the point if what is advertised on there is not available.
Help! Won't let me into account to cancel
Has anyone got any ideas on how to cancel this subscription? I see other people have signed up, wanted to cancel and either can't login, or cant find any option to cancel it. It keeps saying my login details and email don't exist or are incorrect, even though they have sent me welcome emails to that address. I physically can't get on the account to cancel. From reading all these comments it seems to be some sort of scam or fraud?
Other than going to my bank and blocking the first payment due to come out I don't know what else to do? Help please xx
Viewing is a nightmare.
Viewing is a nightmare.. every 15 minutes or so it throws me out of what I'm watching.. so I have to grab remote to let it know I'm still here! And tonight it wont let me watch anything as it says video not available in your country?? Tried logging out and logging back in but to no avail so I'm off to cancel
Slow viewing (in a good way)!
I was sorry to read all the negative reviews of Acorn TV here. I have not tried to contact Customer Services or cancel my free trial so can't comment on those but I did decide to let my free trail run on as I really like the service. I think it's a very 'quirky' range of programmes that are on offer - not like Amazon or Netflix at all. I can scroll and scroll through the content of those channels and end up watching nothing - maybe they are too vast. Acorn may have quite a lot less content but I find this easier! There is also a sense of quietness - no advertising, no pop ups, you are allowed to let the credits roll after viewing without immediately being jarred into the next episode......there's even a dark blank screen when the credits have finished, leaving me time to absorb what I've just seen and decide for myself whether to watch the next episode! Also, a lot of the dramas Acorn offer are very 'landscapey' (in the way that Wallander or Vera were). Maybe I'm just getting old but I think Acorn are offering something a bit different. I will not be renewing any of the big platforms, keep doing what you're doing Acorn!
Biggest ripoff ever!
Biggest ripoff ever! Avoid, crap content! Thieves
I'm a paid subscriber of Acorn
I'm a paid subscriber of Acorn. Everytime I watch a movie, the channel shuts down about every 30 minutes. I must find the remote, click the enter button, choose Acorn from my Firestick menu, and then the movie continues. Why is Acorn trying to limit my paid unlimited streaming.
Cancellation on the way
I think there must be some skullduggery…
I think there must be some skullduggery going on, what with so many people writing excessively bad reviews about Acorn.tv. I have this service and I have had no problems with it. Quite the contrary, the variety and availability of quality content on Acorn is far superior to Netflix, Apple and other streaming providers. I have a huge watch list of programs earmarked for watching. On Netflix and Amazon, I was lucky to find one dec not show to watch. As for not being able to cancel during the free trial period, I don’t believe that as I have a friend who had to cancel his trial due to incompatibility with Samsung smart TVs, and he had no trouble cancelling.
We have had acorn coming up a year and…
We have had acorn coming up a year and have enjoyed it but recently have found it hard to find something to watch are they bringing out some more English detective movies
Very Disappointed
We have enjoyed Acorn in NZ for almost two years because we love British TV especially detective series and they have offered plenty. But recently the quality of the shows we have been getting is poor. I'm fed up with getting foreign crime shows with subtitles which we don't watch and corny documentaries. The new release this week was a dark, American show. We are getting fewer good British crime shows. Very disappointed.
I never ordered ACORNTV
I never ordered ACORNTV. It just started showing on my bill. Will try again today to get Xfinity to remove it but I keep getting disconnected. I don't even get TV Service from Xfinity.
A few months ago I find Amazon Prime on my AMEX bill. Once I got that removed and then started getting packages of stuff worth 50 cents but charged 20.00 to my AMEX. All of it fraud and now this Amazon company.

Taking money with no intention of delivering the goods. I will now take this further to make sure no one else goes through this. Bad form.

Worst Customer Service ever - and that's saying something
i love Agatha Raisin so was well pleased to see Acorn was coming to the UK - except that now I've signed up I can't see it on any browser!!! I've tried every fix they suggest and lots they don't - and then started to complain, so we are now into double figures on emails - but they are useless at responding. The last email I sent was on 7/6 demanding that they just close the account please before we all lose our minds, and got an unhelpful standard email which said they were really busy and to bear with them - but nowt since! In the meantime they continue to take my fiver, because I'm blocked from getting on the website to cancel the subscription!! A situation even Escher would be proud of.
Sign up at your peril!
Rubbish
Signed up for free trial and then found out that it will not work on my TV. The TV is a new Samsung. Their website states that it will not work on new Samsung TV's. This should be made clear before signing up.
I have now seen the poor reviews about this company, wish I had seen them prior to signing up.
Total waste of time, don't bother !!!!!
