Everest region adventure with Actual Adventure

We were a group of 21 Adventure Yogis who embarked on Everest Base Camp/ Kalapatthar/ Gokyo Ri and Cho La pass in April 2019. Our team had members from India, Singapore, UK and USA. Kedar Neupane meticulously planned our itinerary in depth and was truly helpful right from planning to implementing our adventure. Due to bad weather at Lukla our flights were cancelled and Kedar was able to book immediate chopper services through his contacts and in groups we could start our journey with just a days delay! which otherwise would have taken longer or cancelled since we were a large team. His team of Sherpa guides and Assistant guides were knowledgeable of the terrain and quick to take decisions in the ever changing hostile environment of the mountains! Particularly Lakpa Sherpa, Tenji , Lakpa Tamang, Khadka. Cho La and Gokyo had severe snow in the region and we were advised on time that attempting them would be risky. Our team was split into groups guided by efficient assistant guides and porters based on ground situation as decided by senior Lakpa. Guest house stays were comfortable and well managed. We sang and danced in the snow and also throughout the route. Personal porters were efficient in carrying the bags and also hand holding team members through tough stretches. There was concern, camaraderie and a true personal touch by AA team. Overall most of us made it to EBC and some of us to Kalapatthar too. Some team members also went to Muktinath which Kedar organised efficiently. The whole adventure was exhilarating and wonderful thanks to Actual Adventures! We look forward to going with them again in future.

Excellent service, excellent adventure

Three of us took a trek to Poon Hill and Ghorepani in July 2019. Two of us had been to Annapurna Base Camp before with the same company and the same guide. The were so great that we specifically requested them again and were delighted to get them. Lakpa Sherpa is a fantastic guide, friendly, funny and professional. He was particularly good in helping my colleague who needed more assistance. We encountered a few natural mishaps after a storm (landslides, overflown rivers) and Lakpa and the porters Uttam and Prasang were nothing short of amazing. The were able to reroute us, helped my colleagues across the river and found alternative transports when the bus couldn't pass the landslide.

Also, the organiser, Kedar Neupane, was similarly professional and lovely. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing. We would go again in a heartbeat.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek was an amazing adventure

This trek was an amazing adventure. There were spectacular views of lush green hills and jungles, waterfalls, as well as snow
capped mountains. This area of Nepal is remarkably beautiful and alive with wildlife. We saw monkeys in the jungle. Our guide,
Mr. Lakpa Sherpa and porters Pasang and Uttam were fantastic. Lakpa was able to anticipate my every need. He was very caring
and very careful. He even held my hand on difficult downhill descents. He was also very knowledgeable and was able to point out interesting sites and name the different mountain peaks. The food and accommodations during the trek were much better than I had anticipated. Every aspect of the trek was handled very professionally. I highly recommend Actual Adventures and especially would like to thank Lakpa, for all his effort to make this such a wonderful experience.

Incredible Everest base camp experience

They had me at namaste! Very well organised trekking tour! Warm welcome at the airport from Company owner Kedar and his bro Sujan and my guide Lakpa to start with, Lakpa was simply the best guide of the himalaya’s, I couldn’t have achieved EBC without Lakpa! I can’t thank him enough for everything he did for me, Highly recommended and I can’t wait to go back to Nepal to see more mountains! They had me at namaste! Very well organised trekking tour! ghorepani poon hill trek 2017

Actual Adventure is highly recommended for travellers who are going to Nepal!! During the 5Days 4Nights trekking on Poon Hill, they do not only offer a well organised trek but also a safe, fun and nourishing journey for my friend and I to see the beauty of Nepal.

Kedar, owner of Actual Adventure, truly understands our requirements and customises itinerary that fully meets our needs. With his flexible arrangement, we can enjoy trekking, paragliding, and rafting within our limited time during the stay.

Sujan, our best mate, is a fun, attentive, and professional manger and guide. With his extensive knowledge and local network in the area, we are able to see the best scenery and enjoy the best accommodation and services on the hill after a long day trek. Most importantly, mindful Sujan keeps us safe from dangers like AMS as well as blood sucking worms. Having Sujan for your trek, you can definitely find happiness and never feel bored.

Kumar, the nice porter, who helps to carry our baggages. Without his help, we can hardly complete our trek. From the stories of Kumar, you can surely know more about the habits, languages and culture of Nepalis.

After all, Actual Adventure is not only a professional traveling agency but also a good companion that brings you unforgettable memory in Nepal!
Best Regards

Everest Base Camp trek

Everest Base Camp has been on my bucket list my entire life and I finally did it 10th November 2016. I researched companies on TripAdvisor and settled on Actual Adventures as Kedar was always prompt with replies and eager to answer my many many questions. Originally planned to go with my son but when his plans changed I decided to take a leap of faith and go alone - I had some reservations about being a woman travelling alone but it turned out I had nothing to worry about. Kedar met me at the airport and transferred to the Yak and Yeti Hotel - a very nice start to such a big adventure. I was introduced to Binod on the morning of our departure and as I'd made the mistake of looking up Lukla landings on Youtube, was quite nervous about that leg. Binod put my mind at rest and I think he would have happily held my hand if that had been necessary. The flight to Lukla was like a Disney ride once you get over the nerves of such a tiny plane. We picked up our porter Dilip upon landing and we were off .... the higher in altitude we traveled the more remote and basic the tea houses and you need to be prepared to rough it .... no hot water, but then it's too cold to shower anyway and the food can sometimes be basic compared to what we westerners are used to ... but it's not about that - it's about the experience of a lifetime - and that, it certainly was ! The scenery is breathtaking in every direction and every day gets better. The sense of accomplishment upon ascending Kala Pattar and the most magnificent, close up views of Mt Everest will remain with me as a highlight - also the hardest part of the trek - at 5500 meters the air's pretty thin !! Binod was extremely helpful, cheerful and a complete professional. He was able to answer any question and I felt able to rely upon him for everything and anything, from advising me to use my water bottle as a hot water bottle inside my sleeping bag at night, to showing me which were the safest rocks to step on when crossing frozen rivers. I can highly recommend Actual Adventures and if you're thinking about doing Everest - stop thinking and just DO IT !!

Everest Base camp Trek

We were very happy with how the trip worked out. Shambu was a great guide. Our initial plan was to have less of a guide but more someone who provided us with the comfort of walking ahead and making sure we had accommodation. After the first three days we had Shambu do this. He also helped us greatly when I fell sick at Dingboche and he was able to get Pauline up to Kala Patter while Kiersten stayed behind with me and we explored the Chukung area the next day.

Thanks again for your help.

Best regards,
