Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 34 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers found the pricing to be excessive, with some feeling that the charges were a rip-off and not commensurate with the service provided. Reviewers frequently reported issues with customer service, citing unresponsiveness, delays, and a general lack of helpfulness, with some even experiencing calls being hung up on them. There were also numerous complaints about product-related problems, including missing items, damaged goods, and packages being opened and not correctly re-packaged. The delivery service also received mixed feedback, with many experiencing significant delays, missed deliveries, and parcels being returned to the post office despite customers being present. However, some people were satisfied with the delivery service, noting impressive delivery windows, fast and efficient service, and reliable on-time deliveries, even in rural areas. A few other people also felt that despite the high prices, the service was still cheaper than alternatives and worked well if rules were followed.

Usually I've had ok experiences with…

Usually I've had ok experiences with them, I have one particular thing I order from the UK that you can't get in Ireland and I ship it to them and they charge me extortionate rates and ship it to me. But recently I ordered off them, about 10 days ago, never received confirmation they received it despite showing proof that DPD had delivered it. I contacted them, heard back immediately that they were looking for it and then silence. Multiple emails, finally I phoned and they said they had located it but would take a few days to process as very busy. I don't care how busy you are. This order should be processed within 2 working days like your website states, especially with the fees you charge. Now 10 days later, after finally locating parcel and charging me custom charges, still hasn't left England. Getting really bloody annoyed waiting for it, especially since they had no problem immediately sending me custom fees, their €6.50 and fee and €3 shipping fee. Absolute joke of a company and will be looking elsewhere from now on because I'm not paying for substandard service

Cathal and Ross customer service

Lovely customer service. My package was damaged due to weather conditions coming from Australia. Addresspal aired them out to dry and are repackaging them for me. Very kind and helpful.

Charged me €20 for someone else’s post.

Addresspal charged me €6.50 for a parcel that was meant for someone else. They then charged me €13 customs and delivered it to my old address in Dublin. It was full of bathbombs and carpet cleaners that I never ordered and they wrote a message on the parcel saying that I hadn’t written my address properly and needed to do that next time. They then said they would refund me if I collected it from my old address, parcelled it back up and sent it to them, which I did 3 weeks ago. They never refunded me and now I’m down €20 and I’ve wasted a huge amount of time trying to figure it all out, to no avail.

Same experience as everyone else unfortunately

Would like to say something positive, but all in all a terrible service.

My package was delivered to them on the 24th of October, and on the 6th of November I'm still chasing them to ask when it will be processed.

Today I called and gave them the UPS tracking number to show that it was delivered to them, which I have already given twice before, and they told me they will have to look for the package to see where it is in the warehouse.

How does an item that was delivered to them by a courier, with a tracking number, and which was signed for by one of their staff; go missing after it has been received?!

They then started asking me for the invoice, which I don't have because it is attached to the package that they have in their warehouse.

And regardless, why do I need to give them this information instead of them getting it off the package that I am paying them to process?

Overall, not worth the money. I have had three packages through them, the first two were ok but with longish delays, but this last one is a nightmare.

I'll just use another provider in the future.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered an item months ago and last I heard it arrived at the hub in America, that part didn't take long at all. Since that nothing, it should not incur any customs charges as the value has to be 45 euro or more. The value of this parcel was 5 dollars, so no such charges should apply. I have received a large number of scam messages about charges for parcels from different sources, I don't click on any links in messages for my own security, as no charges should apply there's no need. To this day still no sign of my parcel.

Have to say- was worried using this service seeing the reviews

But its been all good from our side on multiple purchases from costco uk

painfully they charge a fee on receipt and then an admin fee on customs which is a bit back handed - basically processing twice the one parcel

But otherwise we had no way to bulk buy on Costco so cant really complain

If an alternative came along and didn't charge the extra admin fees for check in and customs admin fee- then sorry I would leave to them immediately

But for now- it is fine

Tried setting up an AnPost address pal…

Tried setting up an AnPost address pal account! Uploaded all my details final step is registering a bank card! I was shocked to find after wasting 30mins of my time that AnPost don’t accept AIB cards!!’. so the Irish national postal service doesn’t accept cards from the an Irish and government owned Bank! WOW. Next problem: When you register with the service and they don’t accept AIB cards there’s no option offered to register another card! However they do email you to let you know they don’t have a card!! but there’s no obvious way to upload another card! I’m therefore returning to MyUS service!!! which accepts AIB cards! and it’s more user friendly process!

Stay away from Addresspal USA

Been using AddressPal now for over a year and a half, and this week my package delivered to the New Jersey depot on saturday, no word from addresspal as they normally email saying we have your package, and they take the 16.99, yup no problem, so i emailed and today decided to ring them, and all i got was , " o that depot doesnt open weekends and monday was a bank holiday, so your package would of been left outside all bank holiday weekend"!!!! Is this a pi$$ take ? You mean to tell me if something is deliveried there ,that there isnt a kind of dropbox for deliveries rather then just leaving peoples packages just out on the street all bank holiday weekend !!!! I asked is there cameras there so you can check to see was stuff stolen, i dunno i was met with, what a joke ! Typical ooooo its not our fault its the courier bull excuse,

Good service but ridiculous custom charges

I have been an AddressPal (AP) customer since July. When I use the UK address, my item gets processed quickly. I know that you have to pay €6.50 to use the UK address, plus whatever customs charges you, but I am fine with this.

However, the reason why I am giving two stars is because of my recent experience with AP. I ordered something on the American amazon that couldn't be delivered directly to an Irish address. I was a little suspicious on using the US virtual address at first, as when you look it up on Google maps, it looks like an abandoned building. The UK address looks like a legit parcel processing facility, but not the US address. The total price for the order I made was €170, and I am glad that the 3rd party seller didn't split the order into multiple consignments for a reason.

When the parcel arrived at the US depot on Friday, I didn't hear anything for the entire weekend. I emailed customer service on Monday and they responded to me by Tuesday morning that the item taken 24-48 hours to process in the US hub before AP charges you. In the UK hub, the item gets processed on the day of arrival.

I paid €30 to AP as the item was 6.5 kg from US. UPS that delivered the item stated on the tracking page that the item was 7 pounds, not kilograms, so I underestimated the weight.

I was shocked when I found out today that I had to pay €110 for customs. I had already paid €30 for the AP US service and the things that I ordered were worth €170, meaning a total of €310, meaning I paid an extra €140 because I ordered it outside of the US. What a rip off. If the seller had split the order, who knows how much more I would have paid for customs and AP USA? €110 is already ridiculous enough as is.

If you want to use AP, I would recommend using only the UK address. Avoid using the US address US depot takes longer to process than UK even though the building is smaller and you have to pay an insane price customs fees.

Update: I ordered a gaming console and a few games from Amazon UK. I know I could have ordered it directly to my home address, but I didn't want to do that. Ever since Parcel Motel left, I was left with no other alternative than to use AP, since Tallaght is so dry, it doesn't have anything in it. There is no oohpod in Tallaght.

Yesterday, I received an email from an post notifying me that my parcel was due for delivery the next working day and it offered me a host of delivery alternatives. I don't usually get this email until after I pay for customs, so I wad excited as I thought I escaped paying for customs since I payed €100+ for that package. But I let my hopes too high and I later received an email and text message that I had to pay €90 for customs. So now I have to pay an extra €90 for customs because I live in Tallaght and because of Brexit.

This service would be better if it wasn't for the ridiculous customs fees. If your hometown has an oohpod and you want to order an expensive item, you should probably avoid this AP service and use oohpod instead to avoid overinflated customs fees.

I have used Addresspal for over 5 years but NoMore..

I have used Addresspal for over 5 years and while they have reasonably efficient until now I have noticed a marked deterioration in their service since Brexit. The delays are getting worse and worse. Now I have exposed a gaping hole in their service which is inexcusable. I ordered a part from a supplier that I have used before on the 13th. July 2023. It was despatched same day and arrived at Addresspal Hatfield on Monday 17th. July. Despite paying all charges as soon as I was advised the parcel was delivered on Friday 28th. July 2023, a full 11 days after ordering. But it gets worse..! There were items missing from the parcel on delivery to me. I contact the supplier and explained that there were items missing. He asked about the delivery options and I explained that the parcel had been opened for Customs Inspection. He then advised that he could not accept responsibility for any missing items as he had delivered the parcel intact to Hatfield. I contacted Addresspal and after a lot of back and forward they have refused to accept responsibility and have referred me back to the original supplier. Thus the merry go round started. No one will accept responsibility. I am stuck in the middle. Out of pocket over €100 and no avenue for recourse other than the small claims court. I can't really blame the supplier as he did as he was contracted to do and deliver the parcel to Hatfield. That's where the whole thing falls down. I will pursue this to the bitter end but please be warned. Addresspal are not living up to their customer service charter and have a very large inherent weakness in their system. Judging from the other reviews on Trustpilot, they don't seem to care so never again. My Addresspal days are over....

They Don't Consolidate Parcels!!

I use Address Pal a lot for business purposes but for some reason my supplier sent the packages all individually, so there was 12 parcels sent separately to the address pal depot in the USA. AnPost then charged me PER PARCEL, so I got charged over €192!! I rang their customer service number and no harm but the lady speaking sounded like she had no interest in the job at all. It's ridiculous that Address pal don't have a way of dealing with these sorts of issues which I'd imagine are quite common. I'm now set to have to pay customs fees & admin fees on all 12 parcels even tho they are from the one company as the lady on the phone more less said, here's an email go talk to them about customs its got nothing to do with us! Disappointing, but I feel like its 50/50 using this service.

Personal details breach.

So my address pal was used by someone to order an item. I didn’t know who our where the item came from until my address pal charged me 15.99 to ship to my address in Ireland. The costumer service was absolutely terrible. Talked to a lady on the phone who sounded like she had no interest. Told me they would contact me which they didn’t. So I emailed them giving in mind that each email I sent, I had to wait 24hrs for a response. They basically told me to sort it myself with the company that I never heard of. I then told them why isn’t there a two step verification in order to confirm that the package does belong to u. In the end they told me they would refund me which I still haven’t got. At this stage I couldn’t even be bothered about getting the money back. They’re a disgrace and I can’t understand how my name and address was used. So be very careful and don’t use your main bank card. I canceled my account with them.

This company is a disgrace

This company is a disgrace. I paid 6.50 for AnPost to collect my item from the UK and ship it to my home address. Like many others I was hit with an extortionate customs charge and a processing fee - so the fee for AddressPal is 10 euro, not the 6.50 as advertised. I don't know how this is allowed under consumer law.
My item was highly inflated in price in customs and they wanted me to pay nearly 17 euro in customs fees when that's what I paid for the items in the first place! They also add on the 6.50 I paid for postage to the cost of my item which further increased how much customs I had to pay. I was able to query this and got it reduced a little bit but I will never again use this service. It is a scam and avoid at all costs.

All goes as expected until something arrives damaged.

All goes as expected until something gets damaged on route. They will not take responsability for any damage. They say it is the responsability of the original postal service. But this is rubbish. As once the original postal service hands the item to AddressPal, in good order. Their job has been sucessfully carried out, and there ends their responsability. Then it becomes AddressPals responsability to insure the item arrives with the buyer undamaged and in one piece.
But not according to them!
They take no responsability for any damage which happened when they searched the contents, or whatever might happen to the item enroute from there on.

You need to be aware of this. If an item gets damaged enroute, you will not get re-embursed for any damage. And you will also have paid all the taxes etc.
Plus....
They will not give you an answer to any claim for more than a month! So, you will not be able to return the item as you will of had it more than a month!

A real dissapointment.
Terrible!!!

Mixed experience with AddressPal

Mixed experience with AddressPal. It involves both Revenue and AnPost. AnPost are fine and if there is no customs charge, the item will move quickly. It is different if there is a customs charge. Even if you feel it is correct and pay it, Revenue can take their own sweet time about releasing the item. So don't rely on this service if you need something quickly. If you need to dispute the customs charge, then you move into a parallel universe from which you might never emerge. The Revenue unit will not answer, will not engage and you need to be up for a fight.
