Totally brilliant!
I couldn't praise them highly enough. I very apprehensively booked my 3 reactive rescues in. I was going on a 2 year delayed birthday holiday. I really didn't want to leave them but it was my whole family going. One of them is super friendly with humans and dogs but the other two had the potential to bite and were super reactive. They've been with me 18 months and had settled a little but were only settled with me. Communication before drop off was excellent and always reassuring. All the staff were truly lovely and I felt better when I dropped the dogs. They knew how best to avoid anxiety through separation as I left. Through my 2 weeks away. The trainer stayed in touch sending me photos and videos. When I got back she spent 2 hours going through all the training she'd done with them and helping me work with them and said i could email her with any questions. I am stunned at the progress they made. Not only did they bond with her but they met other trainers there too. Theu learned to not react on walks to other dogs and to walk to heel etc. I am so grateful to Sophie and ADK9. I will defintiely use the kennels and training again. Thank you so so much

I cannot recommend ADK9 enough
I cannot recommend ADK9 enough, in fact I wish I had brought in my Lab Collie Cross Oscar in at 6 months! He had problems with obedience, guarding, selective recall and most dominantly fear aggression.
I have spent a lot of money on puppy classes and various dog trainers, all getting conflicting advice, which made me very confused!
As a last resort I booked in Oscar withADK9 for two weeks in June 2022.
When we returnd to pick him up, he was a different dog, quieter more relaxed, easier to walk and much easier to manage. His trainer Sophie was great and she said he was a pleasure to train, and when we picked him up he seemed to have enjoyed himself.
He was so well looked after that we decided to book him into boarding for 1 week a month later, when we went on holiday.
I realised that I did not want well meaning friends to undo the hard work that Sophie had trained in him.
Really glad I used ADK9 and looking forward to getting my follow up sessions to refresh his training.
Thank you ADK9

Pleased doggy parents
A little apprehensive prior to our boy Merlin attending the 2 week course as he so nervous and reactive but the whole process was excellent and seeing him walk with different handlers and dogs at the end of the course was amazing. Can’t recommend Danny highly enough - thank you so much we will be back for a secure and safe boarding.

we now have a much calmer dog.
we left our German/Belgium shepherd x with Danny for 2 weeks. Altho Dylan is not aggressive, he gets very excited on meeting other dogs, and the strength and power in his shoulders can be over the top. Danny worked on him to calm him down and be more polite with other dogs, on walks and park situations. We picked up a much calmer dog, and, following Dannys clear instructions with lots of 'leave its' and mixing, he is much easier with other dogs now. He even lay down with a german shepherd on the park yesterday! well worth the money, and thanks Danny.

Cannot praise ADK9 enough for training out Dalmatian. Dolly had a serious anxiety problem and was unable to mix with other dogs. Dolly had a 3 week stay which has proved to be worth it! After only a few hours of bringing her home she was socialising and mixing with our other dog and they are now best friends which is amazing ! Danny have us some great advice which worked 100% Thank you so much ADK9, highly recommended !

Harry’s Stay
We dropped our Golden Retriever off in May for two weeks training. We wanted his general manners working on, meet and greet, and to improve his unreliable recall and general obedience. Also to work on his resource guarding and occasional aggression, which we were very concerned about.
Danny was his trainer, who was brilliant with him, on picking Harry up he went over everything with us. His walking on lead is now extremely good, recall is still working progress! His resource guarding is better, as we feel more confident to deal with it, but we are still working on it. The two follow up sessions will be helpful and he goes back in July for boarding and maybe further training.
I would recommend K9 to anyone needing help with their dog.

Adk9 works miracles
Just picked my 2 shepadoodles up yesterday afternoon 2 weeks residential training and can't believe the difference. They were out of control before and impossible to walk ( these are 2 large/powerful dogs). Now, they don't pull at all and are a pleasure to walk. Sophie, who trained them, has worked miracles and can't thank her enough. They were also well looked after and cared for. Highly recommended.

Solid Foundation to Build Upon
I took my 18 month old Jack Russell to ADK9 mainly for her aggression to other dogs since being attacked a couple of months before.
Sophie, Mitsi's trainer, provided me with some updates along the way about how Mitsi was settling in and a video of her progress too.
Mitsi has been back home a week now and we are continuing to implement everything Sophie showed me at checkout and Mitsi is much happier when we are out on walks.
Is she perfect? No but I also didn't expect her to be after only 2 weeks. We are putting into practice what we have both learnt and Mitsi now walks more calmly on her lead and is not pulling at all. We've come across a few other dogs and instead of aggressively charging at them she's stayed calm and watched them pass.
Every dog is different and whilst we all missed Mitsi for the 2 week residential, she's come back a happier dog and less stressed on her walks!

Amazing transformation
Absolutely astounded by the difference in our 15 month old pups after 2 weeks residential training. Our situation was complex: Walking was a major struggle 😩. Our boy was so over excited that he launched and barked at every dog, child and adult encountered ( 50 metres before we reached them). Our girl was happy to meet children but was petrified of other dogs and any adults. Walking was 30 percent restraining our boy 30 percent reassuring our girl, 30 percent ' explaining' to people that our boy just wanted to play and our hirl was not aggressive..she was very scared. 10 percent left for pees, pools, training and praise. Following the residential life has transformed. We didn't aim for our dogs to be clever or do tricks..we genuinely just wanted them to both relax and really enjoy their times out. They got this and much much more. Our girll is so much more relaxed and confident. Still a little nervous but with a word and gesture she understands now that we will protect her Our boy makes us very proud. Both dogs are calmer, both walk beautifully..clearly understanding when they need to heel, stop, wait, leave and ' break' ( break is their time to sniff, explore, play etc). No barking or launching from the boy. No Walkies trembling from the girl. Its an absolute dream to see them together. Recall is also almost perfect..girl comes immediately/ boy pushes an extra 30 seconds or so. But both come back. Their in house behaviours are impeccable now. They have really honed their listening skills. Our pups came home clean, happy ' healthy and transformed ( retained their individual preferences and traits). Thank you so much and special thanks to Sophie their personal trainer. Highly recommend this training; definitely will be taking the pups back for boarding when we catch a plane or two.

I cant recommend ADK9 enough
I cant recommend ADK9 enough, they were amazing in every way, we have a 2 year old cane corso (Italian mastive )who obviously spent his 1st 2 years in lock downs and was rarely socialised, if you are familiar with this breed you would know the problems this could have caused , no one wants to go near a 75kl guard dog who hasnt been properly socialised but the staff were amazing with him and trained him for us perfectly. Rocco has stayed twice now and been well looked after and very settled. Thank you

We are very pleased with the progress…
We are very pleased with the progress our husky x malamute Ziggy has made after his stay at ADK9. On the whole Ziggy has returned home much calmer in general and listens to our commands more when on walks and even at home. He is a lot less reactive to people when we are on walks as well as some dogs. We are still working on his reactivity to dogs off the lead but that will be a work in progress as he is a very excitable boy at 18 months old! We have seen what he can do with Danny so we just need to keep it up. Thank you to Danny and ADK9 for giving us the foundations to continue to work on his reactivity :)

Thank you
Poppy has come back home with much better manners and is a far easier dog to walk on the lead. She no longer gets over excited when we meet other people and dogs. But we still have the essential Poppy with us which is a joy. Sophie has done a lovely job and kept us in touch the whole time with photo's and news.

Thankyou
So, I decided to wait a few weeks to write a review so I could see the results.
Don't hesitate, book in.
Bacchus our wild child cocker was out of control. Thankyou so much Jordan, he is now a calmer better dog.
He is not perfect, but he is only 10 months old.
But we now have a good handle on how to control and interact with the Antichrist.
Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou. 🤗

Please don't leave your dogs here
The policies they follow are not fully disclosed when you take your dog to them as they Abandon your dogs with an Unknown Third Party you don’t meet at any point!
I brought my German Shepherd Reid to the Airdrie branch after being attacked by several other dogs as after these attacks he became small/flat face dog aggressive and I felt a stint of reinforcement from professional trainers as well as the work I had implemented would help resolve the issue fast and firmly.
I got 2 updates, the first they had him walking with another German Shepherd, a breed we explained he had no problems with whatsoever. The assumption was made that this was to build confidence. The second update however they yet again had him with a large dog, Reid also appeared to be LIMPING. When asked about his limp the trainer and Alan could not give me an answer. When asked why they didn’t have him working with smaller dogs we were told that they were not made aware the issue was with small dogs and that they had been in more frequent contact with my dad who was pleased with the work so far. At no point did they have my dad’s contact information.
Distressed we drove down to collect the dog arriving at approximately 7.30 pm only to find no humans at the location. My dad went to the house located at the kennels and the people there told him they were not part of ADK9. That they owned the kennels that the dogs were boarded at. We phone the owner to learn that he DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE DOGS AFTER 6.30 PM. This caused so much distress that I had a panic attack. We had to wait 2 HOURS GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH ALAN AND THE KENNEL OWNER before Alan arrived to retrieve my dog.
By this point it was clear that none of the basic care instructions such as brushing or ear cleaning had been met as they clearly only brushed him moments before bringing him out to us. Reid sounded hoarse and had a cough and was very distressed. We had an emergency vet appointment where the Vet checked him over. His leg was fine however the vet suspected BRUISING AROUND HIS THROAT and in his professional opinion suspected this was from EXSESSIVE USE OF A CHOKE LEAD OR COLLAR.
Since being at ADK9 Reid had DEVELOPED SEPERATION ANXIETY AND SHYNESS TOWARDS STRANGE MEN. Reid NEVER had either issue BEFORE being at ADK9. After speaking with other owners, I have learned this is NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS WITH THEM AS THEY ARE LEFT WITH AN UNKNOWN THIRD PARTY FROM 6.30 PM UNTIL WHO KNOWS WHEN IN THE MORNING.
Edit:
I have emailed the company as the reply instructed to express my displeasure at being made out to be a liar with screenshots as well as sending the medical report from my vet and the contact information for my vet. As there has yet to be an edit from them reflecting this conversation, I thought I would.
I received an apology and told that she will speak to Alan to amend making the fact the dogs are kennelled with a third party and cannot be accessed after 6.30 pm.
I still wouldn't advise people to bring their dogs ESPECIALLY GERMAN SHEPHERD OWNERS as the most common factor between myself and other dissatisfied owners I have contacted is that the dogs were German Shepherds.
Should anyone like to speak to myself to confirm my account of events please do and I will happily send over my evidence such as screenshots and the vet record from this time.
Hope this helps people who are unsure.

Well worth it!
We recently brought my Gordon setter Koda to ADK9 dog training, before we arrived we had been really struggling with how he behaved on the lead & coping with distractions on walks such as other dogs, he had a two week stay and whilst there we were sent regular updates by email and constant communication with his trainer. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful and have been a really great help. When we came to collect Koda we had a brief hand over and was then told how he had progressed along with a demonstration on what he has been working on whilst here, it was absolutely well worth it as he is soo much better already and much easier to walk. I will be recommending ADK9 to anyone I know that is looking for a good trainer. Not to mention Koda absolutely loved his stay and I wasn’t sure he even wanted to come home :) we are so grateful & totally recommend 👌

My puppy Oscar was terrible on his lead, I often fell over him as he walked across in front of me but now he is brilliant at loose lead walking. Still a working progress on his recall but cannot thank Jordan, Danny and the team enough for the fantastic job they did

100% recommend!
I sent my 1.5 year old German Shepherd here for 2 weeks of training to work on his heel work, pulling on the lead, being reactive to other dogs walking by and jumping up when people come in the house. I have been unable to walk him alone for months due to how strong he is and how reactive he is to other dogs when out on walks. When we collected him we were all very excited & I nearly cried with happiness when I was able to walk him on my own at a perfect heel. Even when bringing other dogs out there was no issues whatsoever! I've been walking him on my own everyday since getting him back and he has been the best boy ever!

Struggled for months with my puppy Labrador had a different trainer which made no difference. Was told he was untrainable. Found ADK9 through a friend and booked him in right away they assured me that they could help, from start to finish the trainer kept in contact with progress updates which was such a relief. Through photos and videos you could tell he was really enjoying himself! They give you all the tools you need to carry the training on! I really can not thank Danny & the team enough!

Amazing change in our American bulldog x Cross staff with his lead walking. Jordan was great with communication whilst he trained chaos for us.
Still some work to do but it's been like magic, really has. Best thing we ever did x
