They did a great job of supplying a car…
They did a great job of supplying a car for My family of six. They did not pester me about adding insurance I didn’t need. Their shuttle service back to the airport was just a little insufficient. There was not enough rides to get everybody to the airport in a reasonable amount of time. We had to be aggressive in order to get to the airport on time. Otherwise everything was very good.
I would definitely use them again. Quick and easy to get in and out. No efforts to sell me a bunch of things.

Terrible Experience – Hidden Fees & Misleading Information
I had a very disappointing experience with Adobe Rent a Car Costa Rica and Mytanfeet.com. I booked a rental car through Mytanfeet, and before booking, I specifically asked about the insurance fees. They assured me that the basic coverage I selected was sufficient and that I wouldn’t be forced into any extra charges. However, when I arrived at Adobe Rent a Car, I was told that I had to pay an additional 30% of the rental price for extra coverage—something I was never informed about.
Adobe claimed I needed credit card insurance, which is not even available in Europe, making it impossible for me to comply with their requirement. Despite Mytanfeet stating that the extra coverage was optional, Adobe refused to rent me the car unless I paid for it. So, in reality, it was never optional. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch scam—advertising one price but forcing customers to pay much more upon arrival.
I trusted Mytanfeet because they seemed like a reliable source of information, but they completely misled me. Either they are intentionally deceiving customers or have no real control over Adobe’s shady pricing tactics. Both companies are at fault, and I would strongly advise others to avoid using either of them.
If you don’t want to deal with hidden fees, misleading information, and forced extra charges, stay away from Adobe Rent a Car Costa Rica and Mytanfeet.com!

However, if the vehicle delivery is requested at a location 3 hours away from our office, as in your case, there is an additional charge for the drop-off service, which is clearly outlined in our terms and conditions.
Furthermore, when the service details are properly coordinated in advance, everything can be made much easier. When the drop-off location is changed multiple times, it complicates the logistics, which can affect the service provided.

Adobe in Costa Rica (SJO branch) is the best rental company I've ever used. Firstly, insurance is unfortunately expensive in CR but unlike other companies I tried, Adobe was very transparent about all costs online and there were no hidden costs on arrival.
Secondly, during my trip I was involved in a car accident (not my fault) and Adobe were super helpful. After the accident, I called their support number and they were very helpful in explaining next steps (good English too) and sorting everything relating to insurance on my behalf, even had a WhatsApp chat with near instant responses.
When I returned my car (that had about £1,000 of damage), the paperwork was very simple and easy, the staff were very helpful, and there were no hidden costs (I did have full insurance), I was expecting some kind of admin fee or something due to the accident & damage to the car, but my deposit was returned in full. The staff were all super helpful and down to earth, just genuinely nice people trying to do a great job. Usually get a sense that car rental staff are trying to screw you over but not here. Highly recommend!

Roger and the team in Liberia are amazing. They always go out of their way to give me great service when I visit. I use them at least once a year. Excellent service. Great prices. They are the only car rental company I would recommend.

After several trips to Costa Rica and encountering surprises with "hidden" costs at various car rental agencies, I went to AI and asked ... "when booking a rental car in Costa Rica, which is the best company to deal with and which is the worst?" Try it yourself and it'll say ADOBE as the best.
It was a pleasure to deal with Adobe's booking agent Magic ...(yes that's her real name). She guided me to the best possible deal by booking online with MyTanFeet.com. That gesture alone saved us an additional $240 USD from the original quote. She didn't have to do that. Plus, the fact that Adobe answers the phone, has the largest fleet in Costa Rica and is open 24/7 gives me great comfort in a country where renting a car can be a nightmare. On top of that, Magic asked for my flight info and has assured me that someone will be there to pick us up on arrival with the driver holding our name on a sign. Kudos so far. Looking forward to the experience and comforted already knowing that our rental quote is "ALL IN" with no surprises. Pura Vida.

I spent lots of time reading reviews to figure out which car rental company to trust to use while we were in Costa Rica. I ended up using Adobe and it all went smoothly! I wasn't sure if our wheelchair and luggage would all fit in a small SUV so they had the car I ordered online and the next size up all ready to see if I could fit everything and everyone in the vehicle. I appreciated that they didn't force me to upsize a car and let me see how things would fit. We rented from LIB airport and then returned to SJO airport. They recommended we drop off the car at the airport lot and gave me instructions on how to do that. I was very leary about leaving a car with keys in it but all went just as they said it would. No surprise charges and no pressure to buy extra insurance! Very professional all the way around and efficient and good communication. We met a man who has a home in both Costa Rica and in USA and he was using Adobe so I felt some comfort knowing that this smart guy (in biotech upper mgmt) also trusted Adobe with his car needs on a regular basis. I travelled to costa rica with my family from the uk. After reading lots of reviews i chose adobe and jt was a great choice. Kevin was really helpful and upgraded us to a larger vehicle when he saw the size if my teenage children. Great customer service and a great vehicle.

Great vehicles, nice people, terrific service
We used Adobe (LIR) for three vehicle rentals and three private shuttles during a month long stay in Costa Rica. Their staff are professional, friendly and don't try to upsell you on things you don't need. Their vehicles were clean and comfortable. I would definitely use them again.

A brilliant company to rent a car with!
Adobe Rent a Car is by far the most customer service-oriented car rental company I've ever been a customer with. The car was great, the hand-over service impeccable, the information level excellent - but the real kicker comes here: When some idiot (Me...) forgot his passports in his hotel, right before a flight, the ultra-friendly staff at Adobe in the Airport office helped me get the passports delivered from the inner city to the airport in such a time, that Michael Shumacher could not have done it faster. Well done, well done! My warmest recommendation!
