Adobe Car rental was amazing! There’s no hidden fees or insurance. They were very nice, didn’t try to get me to upgrade, and even offered helpful suggestions for navigating (use Waze). The car was perfect and we zero issues. My son left his iPad in the backseat pocket and they mailed it me! I couldn’t believe it. I am so impressed with this car company. I wish they were in other countries too!

This company is one of the only fully honest Car rental agencies in CR. They actually tell you what you are going to pay and stick with that price. Beware hidden charges almost everywhere else. They are a genuinely kind and friendly Costa Rican Company that is the only way to go. And the service is very personal and very prompt. Email questions about anything, including billing and you will get a prompt and accurate answer. Great people, fair transparent pricing.... Thanks Adobe!

Every time I rent a car in San Jose Costa Rica when I arrive it's with Adobe rent a car 🚗They have the best cars, best deals and by far The Best experience dealing with them. Excellent! It’s always our first option when we go visit our family in CR, they always have what we are looking for.

I rented with Adobe in January and expect for the surprise email a few days before the trip telling me I had to pay up front, which they hadn't previously said anything about, it was fine. I booked direct on their website. The second trip in March I booked as part of my flight booking. I figured I knew the company, the process, all was good. The flight website didn't include the insurance, but I knew about it and what it would cost since I was just there 2 months earlier. When I got there they charged me 60% more for the same insurance on a cheaper car than the trip before. It was same year, same season, government laws hadn't changed, there was no justification. I had them look up my previous booking and confirmed the difference. They could give no justification. The justification of course was because they could stick it to me. Not acceptable and I will not rent with them again.

I have used Adobe Rent a Car many times in Costa Rica. I can say that they offer a fantastic service. The cars are always in great condition, the staff is very friendly and I never had any problem of any kind. I find Adobe to be a very responsible company. They walk you around the car before you rent it to be sure that it is in good conditions which also enables you to check if there are any scratches or damage. Prices are very competitive. I will keep renting from Adobe! Thank you Adobe staff for making me feel comfortable and safe while I drive in Costa Rica!

When we got our rental car we did a visual inspection of the outside and there were a couple scratches but nothing major. After staying at RIU Guanacaste, on the way to Sarapiqui, I slowly drove over a speed bump entering a traffic circle (by the McDonalds near the highway) and the bumper of the car fell off. I had to get out in traffic and maneuver the bumper into the back of the vehicle. It was extremely unsafe and we are lucky that it didn’t come off on the highway at a high rate of speed.

When we got to Sarapiqui I noticed almost all of the bumper clips were broken. I was still able to snap the bumper back in place without it falling off, but it was dangerous to drive so I kept it off. I could have snapped it back in place right before we returned the vehicle, but I didn’t want someone else to be rented an unsafe vehicle. Adobe charged me $1000 and I’m furious because there’s no way I did that damage, we didn't even go on any dirt roads.

Adobe was awesome, period. Everything went really smooth with them. I originally reserved a manual car thinking I could handle it, and I couldn't. I drove around a bit and got to my hotel but I'm not really used to driving stick-shift so I would stall on the hills there in San Jose. Long story short, I called the main hub of Adobe and told them I was having a hard time driving with a clutch they said they wish they can help but they simply don't have in the system any available automatic cars, however they told me to call the local branch of Adobe in San Jose because they'll be more updated. So I called and the guy on the phone said he'll check and call me back. Within 10 minutes we get a call back, and he found a car for us. Great! I asked him if they can have it delivered to my hotel, and the guy said yes, but needed some time to get it ready to bring to us( I don't remember how long but I think it was around an hour and a half, maybe two hours). They delivered, we swapped, no problem. The guy who delivered said I need to fill up on gas but I told him I can't really get up the hill so I asked him to drive there with me in the passenger seat which he did. They didn't charge me any extras what-so-ever. The return went perfectly smooth.
I found them on a blog, MyTanFeet, which was helpful overall and got us a discounted price. I did look around at different rental companies and Adobe had a good price. Now I'm talking after the insurance charges, which seemed to be mandatory from what I read, but do your own researching there.
