Customer service is awful

Customer service is awful, no one wants to address the issue. They pass you from one person to the other with generic emails. They are so frustrating and nothing gets answered.

Non transparent cancellation policy

Today I tried to book bicycles to cycle around Lake Annecy tomorrow. They registered my request while taking my credit card BUT didnt tell me that I was too late to cancel.

I waited, and waited and waited, and I didn’t know if we were successful with the booking, so we made other plans.

Then I got confirmation so I replied saying that it came through too late and could I cancel, only to be told the cancellation policy meant I would need to give them 48 hours notice.

When I queried that I had not been warned when I booked off this policy, they said that I received the cancellation policy when my booking was confirmed … which was guess what … already too late and came too late for me regarding our plans … given I didn’t know if they had accepted my booking

Is this legal ?

Pretty unsatisfactory… what really annoyed me is the completely unsympathetic response, just informing me that I should have cancelled it 24 hours before I even asked if there was availability, without acknowledging I’ve lost money, and that they hadnt informed me at the time of booking only after they charged me.

So my advice is use somebody else, or if you do use them be careful !

Hi Jed The cancellation policies are clear and transparent before booking, when a customer decides to book an activity at the last minute, they assume they don't have a cancellation window. Why?? because what would be illegal is that the policy is more flexible for you than for someone who has booked in advance, so the cancellation policy applies to the date of the activity, and has to be the same to each client otherwise that would be Ilegal.

Kayaking itself in the pristine waters…

Kayaking itself in the pristine waters of the Adriatic alone are reason enough to rave! But the X treme Adventure guides Barba and Edin were amazing! They we’re fun, informative and made sure everyone was safe and enjoying their selfs! A must do in Dubrovnik!!! 5 star experience!!!

Best experience ever

Paragliding over Myrtos beach was by far the best experience in my life the instructor was very professional with great sense of humour the views were absolutely breathtaking definitely would recommend it to everyone worth every penny

activity couldn't take place, they took my money

I bought this activity for 1 person: via-cordata-du-trou-du-renard-a-palud-sur-verdon-gorges-du-verdon

They took the money, then they inform me that the activity couldn't be done because there is no 4 people for the activity, they wouldn't reimburse me, and their argument was that "it is mentioned that the ticket cannot reimbursed" although the reason is not my problem.
At the end they offered a voucher with the price to be used in 1 year, which is not a good solution, i might not go back there in 1 year! so unprofessional.
Simply don't charge the people if the activity isn't confirmed!

No refund!

We booked an activity for 3 person. As one of us got ill, we canceled one of the three reservations.
For cancellation we called the skydiving team directly. They told us, that a refund would be possible and contacted the manawa team.
Now manawa does not want to make any repayment, even though we cancelled on time and they got informed!

Do not use this service. Please go elsewhere.
We double booked and requested a refund for ONE booking, and recieved confirmation that this was fine, one booking cancelled and another was kept active. We arrived to our destination only to be turned away as the instructors had no idea we were coming. We contacted Manawa, who told us complaints and refunds were only done by email, and they hung up on us mid sentence. We rang again to complain, which again fell on deaf ears. We travelled over 30km for this activity from our accomodations and booked a stay in a local hotel. It has been two weeks since the booking, we have recieved no money back, and the instructors have recieved no money from us either. Complete scam.
Unacceptable customer service, no respect or apologies. Agent hung up on us when calling to complain. Do not use Manawa

Unfortunately, due to that first mistake, you made, booking the same activity twice generated a series of errors; when you canceled one of your reservations, the instructor received a notification that it had the same date, time, and name as the other reservation they assumed it was all cancelled.

We are very sorry that this has happened and as we have already told you in advance a refund of the total amount has already been made.

I have worked in travel for the 3 years and this is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
We booked to do dog sledging in tromso of which I called and confirmed x3 before our trip as it was such a special outing for us. On the day we turned up and were told rudely that we had no reservation despite having email confirmation. Calling the customer helpline to resolve this they were useless, put the phone down on me several times and offered no solution. The bus had to leave as the experience was over 2 hrs away. The lady on the bus helped us and said if Manawa sends a new confirmation she does have space. That was eventually done and we thought all was ok. We turned up at the camp only to be told again we didn’t have a confirmation to which they admitted was Manawas fault by human error. How this can happen after calling to confirm so many times I have no idea?! We were explicitly told we would get a full refund and would we like to take part in another activity as a goodwill guest here seen as we were in the middle of nowhere with no choice but to wait. Only 2 out of our three person party reluctantly took part and activity which was sub par and disappointing. On return I followed up with Manawa only to be met with unacceptable extremely rude and accusatory customer service saying as we took part in the other activity no refund could happen. Very different from what we had been told. If we had know this we would never have taken part. Zero empathy, zero resolution. No solutions. I have never been more angry and disappointed with a service in my life. I have many contacts in the travel world and rest assured I will be spreading the news of our horrendous experience. The mistake in the booking I can understand the aftercare and customer service afterwards was unsatisfactory in every way - a huge disappointment and waste of money. Never again.

However, we spoke to you immediately, we contacted you and the instructor immediately so that you could be accepted on the tour you wanted to participate in and we were always in contact with you and also responding to any of your emails.

Unfortunately, neither the instructor or Manawa offered the activity for free at any time.

We are sorry to hear that this problem has occurred due to communication or human error, we are working every day to tautomate processes and avoid any kind of inconvenience to customers.
