Having bought a Mercedes E250 Cabriolet I wanted the ability to put the roof and windows up and down using the remote without having to be next to the car, and to have a one touch operation for the roof while driving.

Having used Advanced before I checked on their website and found they were able to supply and fit the required module, they arranged for their local company to carry out the work, they arrived and carried out the work and thankfully the rain held off.

Very pleased with the results.

I recently contacted Advanced In Car to discuss a replacement unit for my Mercedes Sprinter motorhome.
Tim was excellent, professionally guiding me through the various options, including the amalgamation of my existing reversing camera.
The Alpine Unit is designed to fit the Sprinter, works and looks amazing.
Tim also suggested a few other minor modifications which I hadn't thought of.

Excellent service, products, fitting and follow up service from a thoroughly professional knowledgeable and friendly team with a genuine interest in the work they do.

Great experience this week at Advanced In Car Tech, my 2nd visit. This time I was there to have OEM VW Cruise control fitted along with OEM VW front Fog lamps complete with a replacement colour coded front valance on my VW UP!
The whole experience was very professional, and , dare I say, probably better than a main dealer, who on the whole would rather not do any retro fit items.
However, Tim & James take a totally different approach, they are very keen to try and accommodate any request, fitting only OEM VW genuine parts or the very best/ top rated aftermarket items if VW don't actually do what you want (i.e. Dash Cams for example)
Then there is the workmanship, top rate, Tim & James really think about how to do something, how best to fit it and then fully test the item to YOUR satisfaction and finally they clean the car. No dirty marks or finger prints.
Aftercare is also great, with a big/ difficult install there may well be some questions and they always try and get back to you within 24hrs with a solution or a 'hold on, we're finding out'

Really professional and trustworthy service. Very clear and prompt communication throughout, all the way from ordering the parts from USA to fitting and a comprehensive handover afterwards. They successfully retro-fitted an Apple CarPlay unit, transforming a previously pointless 2012 BMW 1-Series display screen into a modern system. iDrive controller works with it, and it's added Siri voice control functionality to my multi-function wheel where the button did nothing before. You honestly wouldn't know they had taken the dash apart, and I am sure it was cleaner than when I dropped it off. Brilliant.

I phoned to book my Audi TT in for a reversing camera retro-fit. Tim was very easy to deal with and made absolutely sure he could get the correct, genuine parts. All good, a date and time was arranged.

Unfortunately as it turned out, the date we'd organised coincided with the post covid lockdown craziness where the hordes made a mad rush to Bournemouth beach to play with litter. This left us stuck in traffic taking around 2 hours to cover the last 15 miles and making us over an hour and a half late for our appointment.

Nonetheless, and even though time was tight, Rich set to it and did a sterling job of getting the camera fitted, coded and working perfectly. He even cured an annoying rattle from the boot area in the process!

At every stage Tim and the guys were very easy to deal with and did a very professional job. If I ever need any other work in their domain doing then will have no hesitation in going back.

I needed to get a Pioneer unit of of the dash of my campervan purchased just before lockdown. (The unit failed to update, so I needed to return for warranty). I contacted Advanced In-Car on their return to work post lockdown if they could assist in removing the unit for me. Emailed them on the Saturday, James had the unit out for me on Monday lunchtime! Exceptionally helpful service, especially as I didn’t buy from them. James even went further and contacted Pioneer for me to get a replacement cage, as the originally fitting has over torqued the retaining bolts. Exceptional and professional service, I recommended them without hesitation - and really nice guys as well

Last year I bough what must have been the only Smart ForTwo electric anywhere in the country. It was a Demonstrator, and the dealer said with new ones as scarce as hens teeth there was no point them hanging on to it. great little car hardly been used, only one thing missing from my spec sheet. No reversing camera. You could have one factory fitted but there was no retrofit kit. Then I found Advanced In-Car Technologies, They'd worked out what was needed using Merc's official parts, and found a Merc agent with the programming gear to calibrate the camera, to the steering. It was all set to go to them but had to wait for the lockdown to ease. Taking a city electric runabout from the midlands to the south coast was quite a complicated operation, because of the limits they put on you at charging points I had to find three in order to arrive there with some juice left. I mentioned to Tim Borrill that I really needed to get a full charge before starting the return trip. So he negotiated with a neighbouring company for them to charge it up for me. This doesn't say a lot about the camera, but it's now just as though it had one fitted right from the start, what more could I say, but it says a lot about AIT and their customer care standards. Helpful, friendly and prepared to go that bit further, well done lads!

I just wanted to mention that the install on the reverse camera you guys did on my BMW 440i M Sport was a top quality job, camera works amazing on on the 10.5 inch screen, and not to mention the camera clarity in HD.

In for front and rear retrofit parking sensors. Not only are they perfectly colour matched the car the are all coded into the audi system. The workshop is exceptionally clean and modern with a no rush attitude. Completed work is exemplary and will use for any future retrofit. Thanks guys, superb job.
