VW Passat rear end collision damage repair.

The body shop technicians at AD Williams have made a good job of the repair to rear of my VW Passat estate. I’m really pleased with it.
The communications were good, with constant updates via email from FMG.
The time frame was quick taking just 3 -1/2 days from collection to delivery of the car back to us.
I Would definitely be happy to use AD Williams again in the future and am happy to recommend.

Awful customer service and if I had…

Awful customer service and if I had read some of these reviews I'd have told insurance company I don't want to use them.

Consistently told lies by the receptionist. Parts are in, parts aren't in, parts on back order, only one of the 2 parts have arrived.

Ad williams say we only want to order this "special specific safety part" from vauxhall main dealer. As we dont trust aftermarket parts but fail to give me or my insurance company the part number... coincidence I know.
They also have failed to provide a timescale on when the part will arrive. (Who orders parts without knowing when the arrival will be)

I have been told a few times that it doesn't matter about our repair timescales because you have a courtesy van? Yeah right...

If a responsible decent repair centre that actually does repairs on vehicles day in day out they would be able to get a full list and order ALL the parts together.

My van vauxhall vivaro (not a rare van) has now been in their hands for just short of 3 months and I still have absolutely no idea when it may magically arrive back in my hands. Genuinely starting to think it's not going to be before Christmas now.

I hope it actually comes back in some reasonable condition because after everyone else has moaned about their poor finish I'm concerned on that also.

AD Williams are magicians!

My car was unfortunately t-boned recently and I thought it may have been a write off...however AD Williams have been utterly amazing since the get go and I actually had my car delivered back to me stick and span today (and delivered to my work too which was so very convenient!)! AD Williams were brilliant with their ongoing communication, online updates and I can't fault them. It's incredible to have my car back all repaired, and shiny and clean.
Thank you to all at AD Williams for working your magic!

Can't always rely on people

I took my car into AD Williams for repair I was recommended by Suzuki as I have a Suzuki car so as the days went on I got a update on my phone which told me the progress of the work, then I had a txt to tell me a estimated date so on that date I rung them and they told me they are waiting for a guy that does stickers which are on my car, Ad Williams told me that he would be there on Friday afternoon he never turned up because it was a Bank Holiday weekend he finally turned up on the Wednesday which I wasn't happy about I think there was a lack of communication throughout the process of getting my car finished with the stickers don't get me wrong the guys that I spoke too like Steve and Harry were brilliant and helpful we will never know why the sticker guy never turned up like he had surposed too, but I will say this about AD Williams they do a fantastic job they did say if I have any problems I could go back to them which was reassuring.

An opinion for consideration

Hi, unfortunately I could not log Into your ‘satisfaction survey’. The delivery collection and guys who provided the service were brilliant, very pleasant and professional, thank you. The lady in the office also very pleasant and professional. The workmanship is excellent. I do however have a criticism. My car was not having any panels replaced but a repair on the underneath of the valence. My car was collected on at the beginning of the week and I assumed, stupidly, that the car would be ready by the following Friday. I was driving to Spain on the following Monday and was informed that my car would not be finished until the Monday when I had all my travel arrangements arranged. After phone calls my car was returned. The point of this long tail is, I believe, that A F Williams should consider the following. To provide a timeframe in order to fit in with the customers diary even if it’s an extended period over the period of time expected to complete the job or to telephone/email/message on progress. This is not a complaint merely feedback and customers should be aware in my opinion. Thank you A D Williams.

Amateurs. Dreadful customer service

This is the second time our insurance company has insisted on us using this company. We had a rear end shunt causing damage to the rear bumper and tailgate. A new replacement bumper was fitted but had two visible marks and gouges. Repair to the tailgate is very poor. I put a straight level across and it bulges out about 3mm and looks visibly bad. Paint doesn't match original colour and there is overspray on the bumpers where it has not been masked off properly. Car delivered back with faulty sensors. Refused to sign the form and was assured car would be taken back and repairs would be rectified. It's been over 4 weeks now and I have not heard anything from them. I have had to get independent company to look into the sensor repairs. I honestly don't know how they call themselves accident repair specialists. All they specialise in is devaluing your car with their shoddy work. Would have been better off getting Noddy and Big ears to fix it. My advice is if you're insurance company wants to send your vehicle here refuse.

I’m so disappointed with the service

I’m so disappointed with the service.
My insurance company instructed AD Williams to repair damage to my vehicle after an accident. When I received my vehicle back there were a number of small dents in the bumper. So I showed the gentlemen that we’re dropping the car back and they agreed it didn’t look right and needed to be repaired. I then emailed their customer services to report this and the fact that since my car had been returned my parking sensors were not working ( the car is a few months old and had never had this issue before) The lady I spoke said she agreed with the manager that the car needed to be bought back in and repaired and the sensors looked at. I booked this in for a weeks time.
I had been assured the car would be collected between 8-9am, as someone was waiting in for them. On the day they were due to collect the car I got a call at 7:54am to say they would not be able to collect it by 9am, I said that’s fine and asked if the car would be returned the same day, as if they needed it any longer than a day then I would need a courtesy car as it is part of my insurance cover and I work 50miles from my house. He said that would be no issue and even if parts were required they would return the car whilst they waited for them to be ordered.
I did not receive my car or a courtesy car that day.
The following day I called and was told that the sensor was broken due to damage from a stone (strange that this happened at the exact moment my car was returned to me) and that I would need to pay for the replacement sensor. I agreed, and again reiterated that I needed the car returned that day or a courtesy car. Again my car was not returned to me and I was told it was not possible to give me a car to use. I was left with no choice but to pay £150 for a taxi to work the next day.
The following day again I had to chase to find out when I would have my car back.
When the car was finally returned the dents in the paint were still there and had not been touched. I emailed them and was told by the body shop managed that they are not covered by insurance.
The dents were not there prior to the works being done and two employees had informed me they hadn’t been fixed.
I’ve given up with them now and will have to take it up with my insurance company. But I’ve wasted a lot of time on what I thought would be a simple process and I’ll never use them again or recommend them to anyone

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Extremely poor communication. Complete lack of interest by receptionist. No schedule of works
Receptionist thinks she runs enterprise car rental and can dictate how to speak to them and blatantly be rude. She advised me to ignore enterprise procedures and policies as she knew better than they did. Imay be 60 years old but I do not need to be spoken to like I have lost the ability to think for myself.

Repair was very good

Repair was very good. However, I had to do a lot of chasing. Getting my car in took over 2 months from submitting the online report and a lot of ringing to no one answering. When my call was answered, they were nice people to talk to.
