Customer service was terrible
I ordered 2 different colour dresses. I cancelled my order after email from the seller offered to send me only one to see if I liked it even though I had paid for 2.
Seller accepted the cancellation and full refund.
Weeks and several emails later I had to ask the bank to step in as no refund was sent.
Will never use again.

I wouldn’t even give one star to this company. I’ve been trying to return a dress that wasn’t appropriate or didn’t suit me. The dress arrived in a cheap packaging with no returns labels in it. I’ve sent emails to return this garment and have been fobbed off. I got the final email stating that it would cost me a lot of money to return this dress to China and would be best for me to get it altered locally. I don’t want the dress, I just want my money back. This company take your money with no intentions of giving any credit for returns. Scam/robbers. Don’t buy from this company 😱

Con people!! Avoid...ordered a chiffon dress got cheap nasty satin dress, totally different from photo ..tried to return they refused to give me a returns address and only offered 10 and then 18 percent refund d.. going to have to raise a dispute with my bank to try and get my money back as they are scammers...

Same as happened to me as described in other reviews. Dress arrived for mother of bride. Crumbled, wrong colour, wrong size. Bad quality. Immediately contacted them for refund. Been corresponding with them since beginning of January for refund address. They deliberately do not send it. Found address in China from Companies House and have paid 14.15 to send it there. i have refused offers of a little compensation, have it altered etc. They still contact me without refund address. Have now told them I have sent package back to China. Expect they will now say they have not received it and they will never give me over £100 back. But I refuse to keep this horrible dress which looked like an apron. I have told them if they do not give me a full refund its fraud. Not expecting them to honour what they say. 10th March they emailed me to say THEY GAVE ME WRONG ADDRESS AND SAID THE ABOVE IS THE CORRECT ADDRESS. THEY did not give me address I got it off Companies House although having told them that they have changed their Companies House address to the London address - which is not the refund address. Have now put the matter in the hands of my Bank.

After them continuing to ignore my requests to return and refund for about 2 weeks, I went to my Building Society. I had paid through Visa Debit, and they helped me to get Chargeback on my account and the money I paid is safetly back in my account. I eventually got the usual responses from them i.e. get the dress altered etc (The dress is too short and 2 sizes too small, so how I am supposed to get it altered to fit I dont know). So I urge other people to got to their Banks, Paypal etc however they paid, and go through their money back schemes. Keep all correspondence/emails as proof. It may take a few weeks but well worth the effort.

This company doesn’t warrant 1 star!! Please please do not order from them. It’s a scam & a complete disgrace. I don’t know why they are allowed to trade.
I ordered & paid for a mother of the bride outfit. They shipped to the Ukraine & not the UK in spite of my advising numerous times of my correct address in the UK.
They told me to ask friends/family in the Ukraine to forward to me!!! What a joke!!
I have not received reply to my mail requesting refund.
I don’t want others to go through this bad experience so please steer well clear. They are not based in the UK.

Ordered 2 outfits. Paid on order. Cancelled one of the outfits and they agreed to refund me straight away still not received. Other outfit arrived and top didnt fit to the suit. Offered to make me another at an extra cost. I said I would return and expect a refund also. Refused return address said it would cost me too much to return. Still no refund from either outfit and no address to return. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I ordered a dress from agown before reading the reviews. I emailed the company the next day regarding sizing, and realised the measurements for a standard uk 14 were a lot smaller than my actual measurements, despite always fitting size 14 in the UK. When i googled UK sizes I realised agown is using appropriate measurements but that UK companies use 'vanity sizing' which can cause confusion when ordering from overseas. I emailed the company with my actual measurements and they made the dress to fit these. It arrived in 17 days as expected and, although not perfect quality, it is a lot better than expected from the reviews! I will probably get a seamstress to look at improving some aspects but it does fit and is the correct colour! I bought it for a wedding and doubt it would wash well but hopefully it will be OK for the photos...

My mum purchased a dress for my upcoming wedding from agown’s she didn’t see these reviews just thought it was a ok website so went and did it.

Ordered a standard 14 so no made to measure and It arrived it was tiny!! Padding all in the boobs just not great!!

I’ve messaged for a refund and to ask how to get it back to them and they are refusing the return! Told me it was a beautiful dress and I don’t need to return it.. it doesn’t fit her so as you can imagine we don’t want it.

They have now offered me 8% compensation and said they will not have it returned as it costs them to much to have returns.

It’s an absolute joke!!!!!

Unfortunately I did not read these reviews before ordering a dress from here and I really wish I had. I ordered a dress from this website that cost £110, when it arrived it did not look anything like the photo and had a black stain on the front. I have been emailing the company and so far they have told me to 'get the dress altered' and that they will give me a 6% discount and that I should donate the dress. They have advised it will cost me too much to post back to them in China, I said I will take the risk but still will not give me the return address. (no doubt it would get lost in post) I am trying to get a claim through my bank as so far agown have been so unhelpful. Do not recommend this company to anyone.

Just an update on my previous post on this awful company, they did finally offer £25.00 compensation back in August still no sign of the money, I have sent a report to Trading standards as well, less than one star.

This is an awful company to order clothes from. They are cowboys. I ordered an outfit to wear to my sons wedding when it arrived I was shocked at how very badly it had been made. It was absolutely disgusting. The material was nothing at all as described on their website. I couldn’t even get the monstrosity to zip up, it was absolutely dreadful. They refused to issue me with a refund. I am currently pursing it through the legal channel. They also operate under other names: Lighting Box and another name as well. Don’t be fooled by how the outfits look so great on their website because that is not what you will be getting if you place an order DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! If I could give them no stars I would!

I ordered a dress yesterday from this company for my sons wedding in December. It was reduced so I paid for it quickly as loved it. After I had paid I wondered why I had to wait 16 days for my dress when they say they are based in UK. I then knew something wasn’t right and how right I was. They have scammed me and won’t return my money. I have been so miserable as they have basically got £150 of my money and won’t communicate with me. In the small print it says they will return and refund within 24 hrs but they haven’t. They are based in China so a complete scam. It is disgusting that they can do this. My bank are supporting me and said because I paid with my debit card I may have a very slim chance of being refunded with a dispute being raised.
Just warn to warn everybody it looks like they steal photos from other sites and then make you a dress in China. What you actually receive is not anything you asked for and items have been delivered ruined and in very poor condition.
Please don’t buy from this site, I have made a terrible mistake giving them my money and told them if they didn’t refund me by today I would leave a poor review which is exactly what I am doing. How can these scammers be stopped?

Made a purchase and item unwearable asked for refund they said not possible. Very very disappointed and odd they will not accept refunds.
I didn’t read reviews either and wish I had.
If they produced better item they would be more successful
They suggested I accept 12per cent refund and give the dress to charity! I wanted it for my sons graduation and had to wear alternative which was a disappointment to me

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANY ITEMS FROM THIS WEBSITE! I have had the same problems as all the other reviews on here. The dresses are nothing like what’s advertised and I have had sent 20+ emails asking for details of how to return. They even asked me to provide my measurements! This is a copy of the last email I received :

I can understand that you might dislike the dress any longer.
But we also have spent much on making these dresses and we haven't made them wrong.
It will be cruel and unfair for us to bear the whole loss and refund you much money.
The material has cost us over 70%, and we still need to pay for the labor.

Do not buy from this company. I didn’t read the reviews and I wish I had. After waiting a while for the dress to come through. It arrived squashed up in packaging that was far too small. The colour looks washed out. Not true to size. The picture online looks far better than the actual garment. They do respond to your emails eventually but use delay tactics when you state you want to return the garment. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Exceptionally poor customer service.

I wish I had read these reviews first but I didn’t and know I’ve paid the price, quite literally about £260 worth.
Ordered 3 bridesmaid dresses, DO NOT look anything like picture, colour off , sizing way off, asked for returns address and 30 emails later it’s still not resolved, I didn’t go for custom fitted on the chance that they wouldn’t be what I wanted, went for standard sizing but that hasn’t made any difference to them accepting them back, how can anyone run a business this way, they have offered 10% refund as the price of the material is 70% and then still have to pay for labour out of the remaining 30%, I’ve lost faith in online shopping having to deal with this, as if the cost of a wedding isn’t enough without loosing near on £300 gutted 😥

If I could give ZERO i would. Much the same as everyone else, the company is an absolute scam. Dress arrived in crumpled up packaging, quality was awful, and sizing way off - I ordered a size 18 and i doubt it would fit a size 12. Really really bad communications, a lot of time wasted going back and forth and I still do not have my refund - they offered me £30 (I paid £94.99!!)
I have made an official complaint through Consumer Rights. This company needs shut down - please do not purchase anything from them!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM poor quality dress. Terrible packaging. Emailed for refund address three times. No reply. No address within 15 days so time to get dress returned ran out.
