The customer care service is poor

The customer care service is poor. I got my old grandparents tickets done from mumbai to London with wheelchair assistance request. Firstly, the wheelchair arrived very late. For this reason, everyone had to rush for all check.
Secondly, my grandmother got a ligament tear and severe bronchitis in London. She is on steroids. Hence, i requested for a refund and provided them medical certificate with a request that please refund the return ticket money, as when they were physically capable I will book another one, else will try to get some direct flight for them so no worries about this wheelchair and all. However, my request was rejected and I was told by edreams ( apparently edreams were answered this by Air France) that Air France does not refund on the medical basis. Imagine……
Poor customer services, n they kept telling me that get all your answers from eDreams and not us.. but the flight is theirs. Medical reason should be considered important.

AIR FRANCE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPALLING

On 20th January, I landed in Paris on an overnight flight from Accra. After leaving the plane, I went to the Lounge. and realised I had left my phone on the plane immediately.
I told the hostess who said she’d retrieve it for me but when she looked at my boarding pass tole me to run for my flight as it was boarding in 10 minutes and she’d arrange for my phone to be brought to me at the boarding desk. I complied. Silly me!
I rushed like a maniac to the boarding gate only to wait for almost 30 minutes before boarding started.
At the boarding desk, the host told me that he’d received a call from the lounge who’d informed me that I should inform the Purser on the plane that I had left my phone. That should have been the first sign, but silly me, I genuinely thought Air France were interested in retrieving my phone. Red Flag No 1 .
I boarded the plane and asked one of the hostesses to speak to the Purser. Her response, was “if you have left it there, we will see if we can find it.” To which I responded, “of course I have left it on the plane. Where else would I have left it, I just got off the plane?” I spoke to the Purser who told me that there was nothing she could do about it, that I had to report the incident when I got to London. Red Flag no 3.
I got to London and went to the Air France help desk. They gave me a piece of paper with a telephone number and an email address to contact lost property. Red Flag no. 4

I got home, called the number. It did not go through. I sent an email. It bounced back. I tried on various occasions, until I realised the futility of it.
I called the KLM helpdesk who have me the eight number and email. It took me calling KLM to get the right number and email address.
I sent an email and got an automated response, informing me that they’d contact me if they found the phone. This was on 20th January. I tracked the phone on 20th January to the Airport.

Air France have however, not gotten back in touch with me. So Air France, are you telling me that you could not find the phone which I left on the seat in plain sight?

Of course, everything is on my phone, so I had no cash, and no way of calling Uber or getting home from the Airport. Not that Air France could have cared less. I was lucky that a good Samaritan gave me £1 to make a call to someone who could call an Uber for me. If I had not been coming back to London, I would have been stranded at the Airport.

I am appalled at your customer service and the fact that there had clearly been no attempt to find the phone. And what is even more upsetting is that while I was at the Airport in Paris, the phone could have been retrieved from the Plane because there was sufficient time to do so but there was clearly no response.

Airfrance, how did my phone disappear?

I cannot believe the appallingly shocking customer service and the complete disregard for me as a customer. I am astounded that I was just tossed from pillar to post. There was enough time for your staff to retrieve the phone while I waited to board. But your staff simply did not care and just tossed me around. I am appalled at how I have been treated.
What was otherwise a beautiful experience flying with your Aircrew has been ruined.
I want my phone back. Had I not met a good Samaritan who gave me money to make a call, I would have been stranded at the Airport in London.

AVOID AIR FRANCE AT ALL COSTS, THANK ME LATER!

[CLAIM NUMBER C-7491040]

I had travelled before to Brazil many times. This time my wife and I decided to use Air France because of slightly better flight times that fitted better with the sleep pattern of our 11 month infant. BIG MISTAKE. On arrival in Sao Paulo, our baby car seat was not delivered. We were planning to spend our 12 hour wait in Sao Paulo with my wife's sister, who would drive us to the coach station of Barra Funda to take a coach to our final destination. We had to cancel this plan because we couldn't drive our baby in a private car without a baby car seat. Sao Paulo's state allows taxi drivers to take infants without a car seat, which we had to do as there was no other choice to get to our coach, but we had to put our baby's safety at risk by doing this (40 minute drive) and incur in extra expenses. We were promised we would receive our baby car seat at our final destination within two days, which didn't happen. We were then offered to pick up the car seat within another two extra days by travelling ourselves to the nearest local airport (1 hour drive) or waiting at our final address up to 7-8 days, at which point we would have wasted half of our holiday time. We took the first option as we were already cancelling many of our family plans due to not being able to travel with our baby anywhere without our baby car seat. However, the car seat was not available for collection until a week later, so were misled as we not only waited a full week but we also had to drive one hour at our expense to collect our baby car seat at the local airport. We were also planning to hire a rental car and given the unreliability of the information given by Air France we had to include a baby car seat as an extra in the rental car, otherwise we would have had to cancel even further family plans in our Christmas holidays. At the airport in Sao Paulo we were told to keep receipts of our expenses resulting from the delayed baggage and they would be reimbursed, which was obviously a BIG LIE. We claimed a miserable £142.65 as honest expenses resulting from the delayed baggage, which is really nothing taking into account how much stress and damage they have made to our holiday time, as we were mainly travelling to allow my wife's family meet our new baby. However, they have declined to reimburse such an insignificant amount of money, of course with a nicely worded email emphasising how much they care about customer satisfaction (what a joke!). Not only the lied to us at the airport about refunding our expenses resulting from delayed baggage, they messed us up and down to get our baby car seat late and at our own expense, made us incur in extra expenses as a result of their utter incompetence to deliver a baby car seat, and also ruined over half of our Christmas holidays that we had been planning for months so that my wife's family could meet our 11 month infant, all that for the 'modest' price of around £2,500. I DEEPLY REGRET HAVING SELECTED AIR FRANCE. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT from what is supposed to be the main airline of a country like France. Will never use them again. AVOID AIR FRANCE AT ALL COSTS, THANK ME LATER!

Expérience affreuse!

Flew to Bangkok via CDG and I arrived but my case didn't. Service at the airport for reporting the problem was fine but it went downhill rapidly thereafter. I advised airport staff that I was only at my hotel in BKK for one night so needed to have my case asap the next day. I received a message to say my case was on the flight arriving the next morning: it took over SIX hours to reach me and we had to return to the hotel to pick it up, as we had had to check out (although, based on some people's reviews here, I should be thankful I actually got it!). To add insult to injury, my case was so badly damaged we have had to bin it. We have been given a (cheaper and inferior) replacement but no compensation for phone calls, added transport costs to pick up the case or for the inconvenience caused.

I phoned AF customer services (a misnomer if there ever was one) in the UK and two different agents hung up on me, having told me two completely different stories. Is this how an interview to be an AF customer service agent goes??
AF interviewer: "Do you enjoy working with people, have empathy and like to help them when they are in difficulty?"
Interviewee: "No, not at all. In fact, I like to be rude, aggressive, unhelpful, unfriendly and unprofessional. And hang up on them while they are talking."
AF interviewer: "Great, when can you start?"

Based on the fact that there are no replies by Air France to any of the negative comments, I guess this review is an exercise in futility: frankly my dear, they don't give a damn!

For a customer-based company, they seem to be missing the point: continue to hack off your customers and you won't have a business eventually.

Please avoid this pathetic airline

Please avoid this airline, we booked to go to Paris from Manchester. We checked in, and the flight was initially delayed by 2-3 hours. As we were boarding the staff stopped 7 people, including me and my two accompanying passengers, telling us that the plane was downgraded and they didn't have any seats for us. Pathetic airline, they should have told us before we headed to the airport and spending several hours for the flight. And not to mention the other costs we had already paid for, hotel, tourism etc

Awful

Awful. I have flown with them for years to Ouagadougou. Reasonable prices. They have just decided to more than double their costs from around £550 to over £1,200.
How? How can they justify this? Are they using a fuel that costs twice as much as Brussels?

Worse than BA

Worse than BA
Avoid Air France (and KLM same company, but not when it suits them). I have had 9 flight / schedule changes and any attempt I make to complain is met with my complain being instantly rejected by the customer service team as they only deal with "incidents post event".
Their call centres are empowered to do absolutely nothing so it is impossible to even make a complaint properly never mind have it addressed!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, in fact non existent, you can’t speak to them. They changed my flight 10 hours before I was due to fly but unfortunately their email link to advise me lead to “sorry this page can’t be displayed” so I travelled to the airport for 4.30am, staff checked me in and took my case. It wasn’t until security that I was told I was flying the next day. I had to wait 90 mins for case to be returned. I was told to make a claim and keep all receipts as I would be compensated and refunded. Air France won’t refund missed excursions as they are indirect losses even though those losses are as a direct result of them overbooking their flight and making me miss the pre booked excursions. They haven’t addressed the staff member’s incompetence for booking me in and taking my case. They will refund my hotel for the night I didn’t get to spend there which is a total contradiction to indirect loss as if I couldn’t stay in the hotel down to their change I couldn’t attend excursions for the same reason. SHAMBLES

Worst Customer Service!!

Worst Customer Service!!! Af/KLM informed me about a refund on Dec15th. Since then, I have sent several messages to Havana office ( sales agent MARGARITA, who sold the ticket, was unable to help). I have emailed 3 times to the AF office in US ( no reply) either. I simply want to know where my money is. They have failed at providing a transaction number so I can check with the bank. It means the refund was not made so far!! I will continue updating my experience until somebody from Air France decides to reply to any of my messages. My claim number is 8F3-86C30D455B83. My booking ref: TYDWHQ. You have my email contact and rest of details is your system.

Everything

What went wrong? Absolutely everything. Lost my luggage, sent it to the cabin in agony completely different places than I was supposed to, for a period of time. Having failed so completely with the luggage, Air France clearly believes that it is good enough to do a half-way job in correcting its own mistake. Does not answer the phone you are supposed to call in case of problems with your luggage, just gets disconnected. Doesn't get through on other phones either, but there you are put in a queue. This is repeated day after day and in both Norway and the country of arrival. Pathetic, really really pathetic service and treatment by Air France

Quick and easy

Even for a confirmed technoklutz, the site is easy to use. I would always prefer to fly Air France, but that it means a long journey to reach the nearest airport (Edinburgh) serviced by them, rather than my preferred airport, Aberdeen, and is often considerably more expensive than BA.
