Lack of response when cancelling required!

Had to cancel parking at Bristol. They kept sending me emails with links that didn’t work. Finally contacted company parking with directly and they did not know about cancellation. They cancelled for me but still no response from airport parking extras and no sign of a refund. Steer clear of using this company is my suggestion after 3 weeks of frustration and now out of pocket!

This company was via compare.com. This company should never be trading. They don’t deserve the 1 star as well.
My vehicle was damaged and my dash car, front was stolen and ready dash cam was disconnected.
They are a fraud company and should be stripped of trading out of any airport.

Don't deserve 1 star

Disgraceful company who have no right to the 1 star I had to give them.
From the onset, the person collecting my car was rude, surly and spent the whole time on their phone. I was told I had to pay the parking fee before they would take the car (which I was not made aware of prior to arrival, also happened on return so an additional £15 to the fee paid).
On return I tried to contact the company on touchdown (22:45) but could not get an answer and left a text message and so went with the original plan to call when we had received our luggage. I called again at 23:30 but could not get through, I tried a few more times until I eventually got through at 23:45 and was told my car would be with me in 30 minutes (advertised as 10 minutes from calling to car arrival). I should point out that my wife was in a wheelchair and we had been travelling for many hours. At 00:26 I called again, several times, but could not get an answer, they clearly had my number logged. My wife then used her phone and got through and was told my car would be there in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later she called again and now they were not answering my wife's phone nor my phone. My daughter in law then called and very pleasantly asked about "her car" but when she said the reg number the phone was put down on her. Eventually at approx 01:15 the car arrived. 2 and a half hours I initially made contact.

Misleading Compare site

I booked Meet & Greet parking at Heathrow via a site called Airport Parking Extra (or alternatively Compare Airport Parking Extras), which claims to be a comparison service. It wasn’t clear at the time, but the actual provider turned out to be “Kangaroo Parking” – a name that only appeared on a receipt handed to me at the airport. I have since found no active company registered under that name, and their website gives no legal information at all.

On my return, after a delayed flight, I was told I had to pay a £20 “after midnight” fee. When I questioned this (it is not on my confirmation), I was told my car would not be returned unless I paid. When I arrived at the meet point, the car had been driven away and I was made to wait 45 minutes with my daughter before it was brought back. I had no choice but to pay under pressure just to get my vehicle back.

The surcharge was never disclosed during booking, only shown in small print on the receipt after the fact – which I believe is a breach of UK consumer protection law. When I tried to complain, I received a one-line email saying the matter had been “dealt with.” No explanation, no accountability, no response to follow-up messages. There’s no phone number, and their customer portal is completely unresponsive.

To make matters worse, I discovered that a company called Kangaroo Parking Limited, now dissolved, was owned by the same individual who controls Airport Parking Extra and Premium Travel Ltd, the only active company I can identify. I genuinely have no idea which company I was even contracting with, and they seem to be doing everything they can to make sure customers can’t figure that out.

In my case, I was coerced into paying a £20 fee and forced to wait late at night with my daughter. But other reviews here report far more serious problems – including damage to vehicles and suspected misuse. I should probably count myself lucky.

I’ve reported this to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice. I strongly suggest others do the same. This is not a legitimate or trustworthy operation. Avoid at all costs.

I tried to cancel as firstly the details of what happens to you care weren’t explained until after payment and then it was impossible to cancel on their system, just no response. I woukd avoid them like the plague.

Unsolicited emails

This company sends me daily emails. I did not subscribe and I don't know how they got my address. The address they come from is
not quite the same as the one on their website - there is an extra 'e.' in it.I would be glad if someone could help.

Will not use ever again!

Ran about 70 miles unnecessary miles on my car, disconnected my dashcam so I would not see where they have gone with my car, all very suspicious. Will not be using Airport Parking Extra and Sure Parking Gatwick ever again. Beware.

Fraud

Update….I had to give it one star to allow me to comment , it should actually say zero star. Please anyone thinking of booking stay clear still no response after 10days . This is fraud when they take your money don’t provide a service that you have paid for and are unable to contact .

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE! Diabolical service. Waited 3 hours for our car to be returned at T5 today and ended up calling 101 to report! Once we informed them we had called the Police, miraculously our car appeared. I can't even say how many phone calls we were making to the Company to which, despite leaving voicemail messages, very rarely actually got to speak to anyone. Was even trying to call the supposedly 24/7 customer service number which, no surprises, just went through to voicemail. We even offered to get a taxi to them to collect our car to which they wouldn't give us the location! Never experienced such bad service in all our life with Meet and Great parking!

I was exactly on time returning

I was exactly on time returning. Parking Guru were not. Over an hour wait for my car then had a rude driver turn up with it, no apology, just said he was busy unlike us returning from a holiday. Not impressed and won't be using this service again.

Refund refused despite terms being met

I booked the meet and greet service at Gatwick South, but due to unfortunate circumstances was unable to drive. I cancelled the booking giving 36 hours notice, they required 24 hours, but they have refused a refund. There response was: you have to give 24 hours notice, I reminded them I had given 36 but they ignored my emails and messages and when I tried to phone the only person I could talk to was the guy who parked the cars and he hung up on me!

Cancellation. Non existent customer service.

Booked meet and greet parking with this company but had to cancel the trip. Terms and conditions received with the booking confirmation indicated full refund less various fees as long as cancelled within 24 hours. Messaged them 5 days before booking to cancel, no response. 2 further messages today no response. Eventually spotted the manage my booking button on the website. Tried to cancel booking using that and now less than 3 days before departure. That button required me accept a whole new set of terms and conditions including ‘no refund if booking cancelled within 72 hours’. Needless to say I have not accepted these new conditions and am relying on the conditions sent to me with the confirmation. If not heard from them by next week I will try and claim the money back through my credit card. No idea about the quality of the parking but the lack of communication and the introduction of new contract conditions to prevent me getting a refund leads me to conclude this outfit is very shady indeed!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - DID NOT SHOW UP!
Booked meet and greet car parking but no one showed to collect my car. I called the telephone number repeatedly but couldn’t get through to anyone. We were left having to find alternative last minute parking which ended up costing £180. When I finally got hold of them they admitted there was an issue their side but would not refund me the difference in parking. Customer service is terrible. I would urge you to avoid at all costs. The last thing you need before a holiday is having to deal with a company like this!

Awful service

Awful service. Called 90 mins before as I was an hour early. Asked to call 15 mins before arrival which I did. Then waited AN HOUR at T5 for my car to arrive at meet and greet. Ridiculous wait time.
