Such a bad experience.
Such a bad experience.
I've heard good things about the bank, especially at Copenhagen.
I just moved here, and wanted to open an account and transfer the money I had in my home country (outside of EU).
For a full month, they kept asking for more and more documentation regarding "where the money came from" (Not something crazy, Salaries, sell of a car and closer of investment account).
After a full month, and more then 30 documents - they just said "we can't accept the money since we don't feel confident" and suggested me to go to a different bank.
So, if that's how they work with new customers, I don't know how they would work with current ones, so I'm just going to suggest everyone what they suggested me - GO TO A DIFFERENT BANK.
Update 1 (written after the bank's answer):
Actually, I had all the documents you asked for.
I even asked over and over again in the last conversation which documents you need additionally to "know me as a customer" - but you just said that no matter what I'll bring you won't accept it.
Surprise surprise, it's been less then 2 days, and already 3 different banks spoke with me, understood the full situation, and asked for way less documentation and were fulfilled with them.
So, is it me who is the problem, or you as a bank for non-danish persons?

Not the bank for your small forening + they are "gebyr" bandits
We have the local branch in Give as the bank for our little forening - we recently had to update who had access and the bureaucracy we have encountered has been unreal - it has taken nearly two months and they still haven't made the transfer. We have been assigned the most unprofessional and rude contact at the bank. She has dragged out the process, condescendingly (and confusingly) demanding more information at every turn - rather than just asking us for everything up front and dragging out the process much longer than necessary. And then finally getting the name of the new kasser incorrect on the card and refusing to change it. Not much service to be had here. This bank clearly doesn't want "forening" business and their personnel could use a customer service training or two. Would never move my personal banking to this bank as a result.
Edited - I had to add to this because I just discovered that these bandits actually charged us a 1000kr. fee for all the trouble they put us through. THE NERVE of these people, and in light of the utter lack of customer service and the fact that it took nearly four months to effect the change to the account it is completely and utterly ridiculous that they charged us 1000 for this "service." We should have billed them for wasting so much of our time. If I could give ZERO stars, I would do so.

one of the worst banks with bad…
Stay Away from AL bank! one of the worst banks with bad customer service. Two months ago I changed my bank fully from Jysk to AL Bank! and had the worst experience so far that want to change my bank again. 2 weeks ago I tried to transfer money to Saxo Bank and it gave an error & I tried 3 times which all failed. then today after 2 weeks suddenly AL bank deducted all the 3 times from my account. Then I called them to cancel them before going through and they canceled and deducted a fee for the cancellation of 2 weeks ago failed transactions! Then I went to the ATM to get some cash and first time it gave an error. so I thought maybe the amount was big, I changed the amount without noticing I didn't have sufficient money in the card. the second time the machine ate my card! the bank was saying Yeah you didn't have enough money! and I was like What the hell!? what if I was an old person and made a mistake by adding a 0 extra or whatever? why should the ATM destroy my card? did I do something illegal? it is your settings that order the machine to ruin a card like that! it can fail the transaction not destroying the card! Also since last year, I requested to open a business account with them and they just pass me around and ask for the same forms and documents over and over again! I completely regret moving to this bank but these events made me change back to Jysk again. 7 years with them, and had no issues! don't know why I got deceived to change to AL bank!

To avoid for loans and non-danish speaker
It seems like this bank is not interested in lending money. They don't answer to my inquiries for andelsbolig loans or take 3 days to answer and ask documents that other banks don't ask.
They are also very curious about my finances and threatened to close my account if I was snot providing VERY detailed information about my expenses.
Their app is not user friendly and does not send notifications.
Also not recommended if you do not speak Danish. They always answer in Danish (All other banks I contacted communicated in English)
Perfect
We have our house loan in Sydbank and have therefor moved all our accounts to this bank. It have been such a good experience, we are very satisfied.
