They say first impressions are the most important. The Elite 3 looked and felt like it was made by my computer/tablet/phone company (No names). Setup was easy – and so is daily (?) use. Obvious... See more

Replacement for old Excel breath tester
I have used one of the older AlcoSense breathalisers for 6 years and it proved to be most useful. I would never risk driving while there could be any doubt about my alcohol intake but that device gave reassurance and when the opportunity to upgrade to a much later, and more comprehensive unit for a modest charge I took it and am very pleased with it. It seems to be very well made and easy to use and having tried it a couple of times since I received it I am sure it will prove to be better than my previous one.
Highly recommended
Great little piece of kit, good value for the money
Good piece of kit
I bought the Excel version after reading up quite a bit about breathalyzers and wanting one which was as close to those used by the Police as possible without spending a fortune.
Impressions so far are good - seems like a solid piece of kit, easy to set up and use. The manual advised on first starting up to check the firmware was up to date via a weblink. Strangely, the version on my device - 3.01.34 - is later than the one available to download on the support page, which is 3.01.26.
Still, tested it a few times and although I'm working on trust, the readings I've had would appear in line with what I'd been drinking and the timelines involved.
Overall, would recommend.
Well made product
Well made product, good quality. Easy to follow instructions for set up and use. Would definitely recommend, great value for money.
Good Experience
Good Customer support on telephone and good service with calibration and delivery. Product is easy to use.
Alcosense
I liked the design it was very modern and sleek. My only issue is that it was not as sensitive as I thought but still said I was over the limit or not.
Works very well with fast start up.
Product is well made
Product is well made, user friendly interface, it is really simple and easy to operate. Great product so far.
Easy to use
Very easy to use and accurate measurement. I love this product.
Accuracy is important.
I am a professional driver so my licence is extremely important to me.
I never drink alcohol if I am going to be driving later on the same day. I do, however, enjoy a drink once I have finished driving for the day. I limit myself to no more than 3 cans of beer in an evening and stop drinking at least 9 hours before I have to drive again.
I have always assumed I would be under the limit by the morning but I used my father's breathalyzer (£19 from Amazon) to check and was surprised to find I was still over the limit 9 hours after the last drink. I was very skeptical of the result and did a bit of research and came across Alcosense.
I bought myself an Alcosense Pro the next day and proceeded to enjoy my 3 cans of beer (drunk over 3 hours) before bedtime. I tested myself 45 minutes after finishing the last one and found I was still under the limit.
I feel I can trust Alcosense to give me a more accurate reading than my father's tester.
The Alcosense Pro is super easy to set up and use and I like the fact you can turn down (or off) the beeping noises as they get on my nerves.
All in all, it was loads more money than I could have spent but what is the point of having a tester so innacurate you will never trust the result.
Brought lite2
Brought lite2, great piece of kit, gives that peace of mind you are safe and keeping other road users safe too. Everyone should get one
Highly recommended
Nice, handy-sized piece of kit and very easy to use. Seems good value for money so would recommend to others.
Really nice bit of kit very accurate
Really nice bit of kit. Most importantly accurate! If anything the elite 3 edges on the side of caution by a tiny amount with results. I set it to mg/l (the police always use this ie uk limit 35 / 0.35…. Watching too much police interceptors on tv 😎)
Recommend!
Very easy to use
Very easy to use. The blow meter to show how to blow as you are doing it works very well for me. Great product.
Simply simple ,
Simplicity of operation both in functionality and set up makes this a great choice .
opps above opinion written just after setting up the Alcosense excel...unfortunately it seems like the unit I bought is faulty as it later gave a low reading just a few hours after consuming a bottle and a quarter of a 12.5% wine (impossible for given units to leave the bodys system that rapidly ...will be returning the product to the store (Halfords ) from where it was purchased - thoroughly disappointed
Great product easy to use and it's…
Great product easy to use and it's reassurance for the morning after.
Alcosense Pro
Have used a small key chain breathalyser previously and as you can guess it probably wasn't the most accurate. So after much research I decided to go with the Alcosense Pro. Very impressed with it so far. A robust piece of kit which is easy to set up and use. I also do a lot of driving abroad, so the facility to switch countries and show readings against their specific blood alcohol levels is very useful to me.
Easy and simple upgrade process from and Alcosense Elite to the Alcosense Pro.
This is my second Alcosense unit in the last 5 years and found them to be extremely reliable, easy to set up, robust and very easy to use. I bought an Alcosense Elite back in 2019 as we were were attending a lot of music festivals and although we weren't drinking a large amount, it was certainly worth checking the morning after the night before to see if we were safe to drive. had it regularly recalibrated and it was due for calibration at the start of April 2024. We decide to upgrade to an Alcosense Pro and the whole process was very easy and we got a very good price for trading in the older Elite model. We are even more impressed with the newer Pro model and will be using it this coming summer through the festival periods.
Well worth the money to protect ourselves and other road users not to mention our licences.
Well done Alcosense!!
