F for failure in management

Went to store wanted 2 pair sandals salesperson order both pair waited 10 days 1 pair wrong color 3 size to small contact customer service spoke with Andrea whom said she couldn’t say her last name and that she was not allowed to let me speak with a manager concerning my issue she would send me a return label until then she couldn’t ship the correct shoes which would be 2 more weeks or longer because the local store didn’t have my size from the start all I need is what I paid for and confirmation by a manager that I will get what I paid for sooner than later Aldo quality is decreasing fast management what type of training are y’all handing down to your associates that you afraid to speak to customers about y’all mistakes

Terrible quality and terrible customer service

I previously wrote a five-star review for the Aldo cendrix sandals that I bought from Nordstrom Rack. After a month and a half, on a gentle walk with my family, the strap just split, and the sandals were rendered unusable. I reached out to Nordstrom Rack and they let me know that I was literally one day outside of their return window, and that there was nothing they could do. They advised me to reach out to Aldo directly. I waited over a half hour on Aldo's website chat. I understand that because I didn't buy the sandals directly from them, Aldo had no responsibility to me, but they could have done the right thing. They told me there was nothing at all that they could do. So now I'm a stay-at-home mom who fully intended to wear the sandals as my spring and summer go to, but have no sandals and no way of relinquishing my money to buy new ones. Absolutely terrible quality and terrible customer service from Nordstrom Rack and Aldo. Will not buy again, but they seemed unmoved by it. I hope you have a different and better experience.

PLEASE READ OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS…

PLEASE READ OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING… Unfortunately i read afterwards and have had the same issues. Brought a pair of shoes which came up to big, so went through the returns process. You have to wait so they can ‘accept the return’ and then print off a returns label from Royal Mail and send item back, i tracked this and saw it got delivered but heard nothing from them unlike what they say on the website. Chased this up only to get automated email and wait for over 2 weeks just for them to ‘quality’ check and issue refund. Over two weeks later i got a refund which was far lower than expected, email them and i’ve been told its £3.95 for postage label and then £4 something for the delivery charge - Its the same thing. If i could give the company minis stars i would, seems every review is the same, GO ELSEWHERE for a better service they take your money and thats it!

The warsest customer service

The warsest customer service , I've been waiting for refund for ages , one day they say need to wait up to 2 weeks , and after 2 weeks i've contacted them again - they said up to 30days to wait. Finally return issued but not in full , i lost nearly £10.
Wouldn't recommend this shop !

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!

Same issue as multiple other reviews - still waiting for a refund to be processed for faulty shoes received after an online purchase. Moral of the story - read reviews before ordering!

Use PayPal to avoid issue of not…

Use PayPal to avoid issues of not receiving refunds upon returning but make sure you take photos of your packages and weight is noted on Royal Mail receipt so they know what you are sending back (so they don't claim to have not received it). I know it is a hassle but their shoes are still cheaper price and nicer looking than many shoes on the market. BUT if you can deal with the hassle factor and risk of getting a bad shoe and dealing with the returns dept, then worth it I guess. Always use Paypal so can open dispute there if necessary. Also had issue with shoes not being replaced due to wear and tear But it was my son who is 14 so not sure yet if shoe or him on that one. Hard to say but a shoe should last at least 6 months one would think.

This company is out of trust

Can you believe this !!
they send me faulty zip and used shoes .
how can you trust this company.
Their solution, 50% off for secondhand faulty shoes not even Exchange.
That’s happening right before my holiday now I have the hassle to return it back and search for another brand.

Now I am worried about an order I made last week. I should have read the reviews on here first. Ordered a week ago and received a dispatched notice on Tuesday. Tracking does not exist from Yodel. Emailed Aldo on Friday and they replied will contact their Warehouse!! Excuse me? I think I want a refund now. But it seems that will be a long process too.
April 6th and no shoes. I will contact the Ombudsman as this is now theft. You have taken the money but where are the goods. Sent a non existent tracking number from Yodel.

I don't think it will be difficult to…

I don't think it will be difficult to improve customer service at Aldo shoes, as it can't get any worse. In short, I purchased a pair of casual trainers in Nov, I've literally worn them on approx half a dozen occasions and the stitching has come away which means they've become unwearable.I contacted customer care, provided photos & they've advised me it's wear and tear. The shoes are just as new as the day I received them, so I'm at a loss to understand how long Aldo shoes are supposed to last before "so called wear and tear" becomes an issue. It wasn't just the issue surrounding what is obviously a manufacturing problem but the way they informed me. Never again Aldo shoes, I'll be purchaving my shoes elsewhere from now on.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I cannot believe what a bad company Aldo is!!! Made two orders in February, around £650 for both. Returned most of the items back to them, through their returning service, arranged with Royal Mail, confirmations of returns arriving back to them on the 15th and 23rd of February. No refund after all that period!!!! Emailed them, with the order numbers, they said I have to send them proof of return to them!!!! They should have all these in their system. But I did it. They made a refund for one order and they said they have to check what items arrived in the second one. After one month, they should have everything in the system!!! So, still awaiting. I had placed orders with other retailers, partially returned them, absolutely no problem in getting the refund with all others companies. Everything was transparent, kept in the loop till the refund was made. Why Aldo cannot do the same thing??? To prove they are a serious company.

Aldo is one of worst company in the world

One of worst company in UK, after returning the item they held my money for more than 2 weeks without a valid reason. I had to send numerous emails to get my refund back. Never buy goods from them, they're day light robbers. Bear in mind they charge for deliver and returns and wouldn't give full refund on purchases. Never buy goods from them.

Customer service at a minimum.

I ordered two pairs of shoes. One pair had clearly been worn previously and had rips/scuffs/worn down souls. I called their customer service. The man I talked to was nice and understanding when I sent him photos of the shoes. He said I could either get a refund and keep the shoes or I could send them back and get a %30 off coupon and a new pair.
I opted for the new pair because I liked the style. I received an email saying they got my return but no follow up about my new shoes. I went to their chat feature to talk to someone about my shoes and they said they don't do that, they only accept return. I would have to buy the shoes again. I told the person on chat I had talked about this with a gentleman over the phone and he said I must be confused because they don't do that. I checked my bank account and they had indeed given my money back but that's not what I agreed to. Chat guy kept strong saying I was mistaken but changed his tune when I said I wouldn't buy from them again. So annoying. Would not buy from them again.
The other pair I ordered came in fine but they hurt my feet even after being worn enough. Aldo has really gone down the toilet

One for trading standards!!

3 weeks to receive the shoes and 4 weeks on and no refund or reply to emails. Why they continue to trade is beyond me, do the honourable thing and shut up shop.

Wow do I wish I’d checked the reviews…

Wow do I wish I’d checked the reviews before buying from this company. I received a MOULDY pair of shoes over a month ago and am still trying to get them returned. Customer service team took 3 weeks to respond to my (at that point numerous) support tickets raised and told me to return the items via the returns centre (which is not what their returns page tells you to do in the case of faulty items). Because they took so long to respond my items are now outside of the 30 day return period and I therefore cannot generate a return. So the cycle continues, I try to contact customer services and expect they will take several days (if not weeks) to respond. All the while I’ve got £180 worth of mouldy shoes that I can’t get rid of. Terrible quality items, terrible customer service. Don’t buy from them.

appalling customer service and poor quality shoes.

appalling customer service.
ordered shoes. The next day, the stitching came apart on one section of the shoe, causing it to open up. I contacted the Oxford street store, and victoria answered. I mentioned that i'd been into store and ordered a pair of shoes the previous day. She immediately answered saying they don't do orders at their store (she was getting mixed up between orders and instore purchases, but had the attitude to persist in correcting my use of Vocab - rude or what?) then she said i had to email proof of purchase and pictures of the defective shoes to head office. 13 days later i have not had a response, so i send another email chasing for a reply. All of a sudden, i get a reply stating that i need to visit the store - it is the store managers decision. Their only store is in London. i don't live near london. And they say that returns have to be done within 14 days - meanwhile, they take 13 days to respond to a customer issue.

still no further forward - terrible customer service!

Keep Away - trust me!!!

One of the worst online retailers - the worlds worse customer services - still waiting for my refund, been over 2 weeks - the audacity to even mention ‘you will receive your refund within 30days’ whilst other large retailers refund within 3 days of receiving. You can’t return online orders in store nor do they have a number to call. They also charge you to return! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM ALDO AGAIN! Be warned!
