Alpha Motorcycle Training 

Completed CBT with Des as instructor. Very good training, instructor really knows what he’s doing. Learned some invaluable stuff during all elements of the training.

Bad instructor

Yes I made mistakes but that's because I have never even been on a bike EVER in my life. The instructor didn't provide any support and Always negative and putting unnecessary pressure. I thought it was supposed to be training because I didn't receive any training.
Wouldn't recommend.

Edit: Comment about highway code: I clearly told the instructor I have a my motorbike theory test passed a month before my CBT, but Instructor was admitant on the fact I lacked the knowledge since I didn't read the booklet.

The only words I can use to discribe this so called training school,alpha located in eltham/ or 2 of its personnel,I should point out.others not judged..as not experienced,is totally disgraceful in every possible aspect.
The clue is in the question..CBT..unfortunately the persons,or as much as it hurts me painfully say..and call them instructors,believe the T means test..whereas it means TRAINING.
Our person,sorry can’t say the i word..even thought it was clever to inform us before we even started that he had failed 38 over a short period of time,not a remark one wishes to hear,as far as the innuendos,bad taste remarks,which were encountered were totally unacceptable,and in this day and age cannot be accepted in any shape or form..totally inappropriate.
The only blessing in disguise,that the person whom I had the unfortunate pleasure of being with for the day,was retiring in 2 weeks,at least now many may be a lot safer.
I personally would not recommend alpha motorcycle school,under no circumstances,and looking at other reviews,we all can’t be wrong,however,I,consider myself a fair and trueful person,and would not like to tarnish the other instructors whom are employed by alpha,as I,m sure not all of them can hit such low attitudes and appalling behaviour as the 2 persons on my day,so I can only advise research is needed,I was a novice and did not do this research…but hindsight is a wonderful thing,i looked for a local training school,alpha,whom had appointments at the ready,a big mistake..I advise anyone to be patient,and source the correct place,being taught safety is a priority!
It seems alpha have a target system in place.
A formal complaint has been made to alpha,whom have choose not to respond.
I will now be escalating my complaint officially to appropriate authorities.as I feel it my duty as a citizen to protect others,and have the courtesy to do so.
If like me,and no doubt many others are andyou do not obtain your cbt,don’t fear you can always pay them again £ 150.00,I,m fairly confident you will get the cbt cert,the second time round..but costly..and will you be safe?what price to you put on life!!

This was my second time at Alpha Motorcycle Training since I had a great experience the first time. Des and the other instructors were all great, very keen on safety. Spent a few hours with Des on the road, very enjoyable and appreciate his attention to detail and focus on maintaining wellbeing and protecting lives on the road.

Thanks guys, I intend to come here when training for a full licence.

Done my CBT @Eltham today and what an experience, The team was friendly and had banter which made me feel at ease and also I learnt alot thanks guys see you in 2years !! Definitely would recommend 5* all day !!! However if you book read the highway code because these guys will test your knowledge and make sure your on point ! Definitely a good thing ! Thanks again

Will not recommend for this motorcycle training horrible staff untrained instructor they don't even know how to deal with the student. They failed me for no reason and charge me money for the insurance,riping the people even they did not take me on the road and charge me money as I am student and every penny matter me. After long wait to get another date from different motor training center. They explain me very nicely and taught me very well and I got cbt as well. They didn't charge me anything and on top of that they offer me basic delivery job course for free of charge.
I will request to everyone don't go to alpha and if you have too much money and time then it's your choice

I visited alpha mtc today for my 1st CBT. Des was a great instruction, very patient and knowledgeable. I’m looking forward to booking my DAS with Alpha!

Very negative experience - instructor was like a Nazi SS officer who didn't allow me into the class for being 2 mins late citing lateness and DVSA rules as a reason to forbid you from entering the class - of course, this is contrary to their own policy which cites lateness as being more than 5 mins late. Naturally, like all post COVID businesses looking to make a quick buck, they will not reschedule or issue a refund and I have taken it up with my bank. I would highly recommend not wasting your time with these guys!!!

Despite failing a CBT 2 years ago (at another location), I found that I was much more confident on a bike this time around and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The teaching was great, as the instructors have 10+ years of teaching experience and a 2 hour ride around Eltham afterwards gives you plenty of time to practice what you've learnt.

Great experience, couldn’t be more precise on safety Even tho I’ve done CBT multiple time I still managed to learn new things, a special thank you to the CBT instructor I had named des very patient and good instructor!

Des is very good trainer and very friendly as well.

Fairplay aint been on a bike in 15 years.... Des has excellent knowledge and after the course I am now ready to get back on a bike after all these years... catch you soon fella for the next stage..... Alpha motorcycle training 10/10....

Sincere apologies for the protracted review submission. I've been having a blast on my new CBR650R, riding is a real pleasure. I have a deep level of appreciation for all the staff members at Alpha motorcycle and training. My course leader, Jason, was able to familiarize me with exactly what I needed to know to pass my test and stay safe on public roads. I was overjoyed to ride upto Redbourne where we did some of our module 1 training and along the way we practiced for the module 2. Everyone was optimistic and assured me that if I do just as I did in training I would pass with flying colors which was the case.

Took my CBT at this welcoming place, wouldn’t recommend any other location, my instructor Ewan was beyond patient, gave me constructive criticism when I was learning how to ride to ensure that later on the road I’d be safe. Great personality, great chap would definitely consider finishing my full Motorbike licence. Thank you again.
