Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Sent extremely personal information to verify my account after it was blocked with no reason after sending a gift card, and I never even got an acknowledgement that my data was received. I was in contact with customer service more than 10 times over the next three months, all times they said it was terrible I got no reply but that they couldn't help because the case was with another department.
I kept being prompted to provide a document that does not exist in the Netherlands (a bank statement with a phone number and personal address). Instead I sent them all my personal information (including a picture of my credit card and ID) and they never even acknowledged it with a response. After three months of inactivity and multiple constacts with customer service via chat, phone and email where they all promised to help me (I never heard from them again unless I got in touch myself) I proceeded to request my account to be deleted. Unsurprisingly I still haven't heard from them.
Just excellent
A smooth and friendly experience, customer service reply within hours. just excellent.
Better than the rest
Perfect delivery times, cheaper than the competition and a huge variety of products. Honestly, it's cheaper, faster and more extensive than its closest competition.
Amazon.nl way below standards
I have been buying off Amazon for years (from Amazon.uk, Amazon.de, amazon.it, and amazon.fr). They all provide a fantastic service. I am extremely disappointed in Amazon.nl however. I never received an item and yet it says that "item has been delivered to customer". When I contact customer services they say they need to start an investigation, even though it would take them 2 seconds to check the tracking on the DHL website which still says "item in sorting office"... Also had issues with posting a negative review. They later informed me it is because they cannot accept English as the review language... No clue why not as Amazon.de accepts English... All in all, awful service. Will never use again!
I am very disappointed with AMAZON NL
I am very disappointed with AMAZON NL
I bought 5 gifts for Christmas by mid November
Only 3 arrived and they took quite a while
The other 2 were on "delayed " status for over a month until Amazon finally admitted that they were lost and decided to allow a refund, which I might see in January on my credit card
I frequently shop with Amazon (USA, UK, Italy) and have always had a great experience.
I do not know what is going on with Amazon NL, but I certainly will not buy from them again
I am a Seller on Amazon
I am a Seller on Amazon. They don´t pay me my money. Trying to contact them more than 30 times. Customer Service are Useless and will ignore you. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! DONT USE AMAZON!!!!!!!
Amazon.de = great, Amazon.NL = way behind
I have a long and outstanding experience with Amazon.DE. The downside is that all the items need to travel from Germany to Netherlands. But the shipments as always prompt and as fast as can be expected.
It the really surprises me that Amazon.NL from which you expect the same systems and infrastructure does so much worse. Orders on stock!! frequently take for ever to start shipping. customer service is friendly but has no effective means to solve or influence the moment of shipping, notifications are send to the warehouse, but nothing happens. When eventually ships the delivery partner may also take up until the last day for the delivery window, letting the shipment lay in a distribution centre 10 miles from the destination for another 1-2 weeks.
It is mind-blowing how the performance of Amazon.DE and Amazon.NL is miles apart. It is also mind-blowing that one shipment on stock and sold by Amazon themselves will not ship the same or at least next day for one order and another order also on stock and delivered by amazon is delivered within 24 hours.
Also mind-blowing is that mindfuck of adding free prime delivery to the product page which magically disappears during the checkout phase for 99% of the orders. Even when you are logged in with a prime account.
The price may be right, the customer service may be friendly. But how the rest of the Amazon.NL channel performs is a recipe for disappointed and dissatisfied clients. I hope they will pick up the pace and will do so fast. I hate to go back to Bol.com and my wallet is not in favour of the magnificent (put more and more pricy) Coolblue at this moment.
Ignoring my request to change billing address after purchase
[edit] they added a separate billing address now finally.
I purchased some expensive tech goods with my work budget and asked for a change in the address of the invoice since it's not possible to select one at checkout. This is possible on every other amazon shop around the world within 10 days from the purchase but not currently on Amazon.nl . The negated my request and said that the feature is being in development at the moment unfortunately so the only way would be to return the item and re-order at the billing address. Quite disappointed since it was a lot of money to be reimbursed from my employer. I asked to escalate my issue with the support but my request was quitefully ignored.
very poor customer support
Bought a camera on Black Friday with discount. Unfortunately I never received my order. So I contacted Amazon about this and they said it got lost in the mail. I said I don't want a refund but to re-ship my order. This is not possible and told me to re-order the product. So now I have to pay almost double the price for the same product, because the discount has expired, for a mistake on their side. No intentions to help-out what so ever. Very disapointing for a Amazon Prime membership.
I have ordered a number of items with…
I have ordered a number of items with Amazon.nl.
Never an issue with the orders, if I need to return an item for what reason ever, they accept it - no questions asked.
Thank you @ the team if Amazon nl.
activating prime twice without my knowledge
Second time in a row they activated a prime membership without me agreeing to do it or even clicking at such option. First time I ordered something and second time I merely put a thing into the cart. Is abusing the labor law not making you enough money that you have to get money this way?
Scammers
I will never order anything here again. They claim 30-days return policy but it is impossible to send a return to those Chinese even within 14 days.
Even Aliexpress is better. At least you know before ordering that it is not returnable.
Product scamming...
They cancel every review on a product you place that is bad. Even if it is grounded, they accept every good review.
Last I received an item that said in the title 4 pieces. When it arrived it was only one piece.
When I commented about that my comment got deleted. I think Amazon works together with some companies to keep the scamming alive. Which is not what I would suspect from such a big flourishing comp.

I have been trying to contact Amazon to gain access to my account - cannot use Amazon Prime & cannot cancel it either!
I have been trying to contact Amazon for over a month now as I am completely locked out of my account. I am able to verify that it's me logging in on my email and mobile number and despite this had to prove my identity with bank statements. Even after submitting my bank statement - still no one has come back to me to unlock the account. There is no way for me to call, email or chat to Amazon - absolutely no way to get in contact! Problem is I subscribed to Amazon Prime and now cannot cancel my subscription. I ended up cancelling my credit card as I should not have to pay for something I cannot access - but every few days Amazon tries to take money from my account. When not successful - they have somehow reverted to another credit card I used to purchase something in the past to try and get the money that way - completely illegal! My advice is to NEVER subscribe to anything on Amazon as they lock you out of your account for no reason and you can't cancel the subscription. Terrible experience and I've wasted countless hours trying to get this sorted out!
disgusting company with anti-competitive business practices
Amazon used to be a marketplace connecting third-party sellers around the world with the buyers. The seller would get a bigger exposure and Amazon would get a sale commission, thus the benefit was mutual.
Now everything has changed for the worse and Amazon is ruining small businesses both outside and inside its platform. Amazon turned its marketplace into a playground. Amazon illegally collected and analyzed information on third-party sellers and their products on its platform and used this information to launch copy-cat version (Amazon-basics) of the most popular products. Now Amazon is a market-maker and a competitor for small businesses on its own platform, which is a legal definition of conflict of interest. They should be investigated for such anti-competitive practices. Furthermore, if a seller offers a lower price of their product outside of Amazon, they will be severely punished by Amazon.
To screw sellers even more, Amazon partnered with UPS (American package delivery company) for package deliveries. They charge sellers a commission for product delivery and product return. If a buyer cancel an order, oftentimes Amazon would still ship it. Of course the buyer would most likely return the package but Amazon + UPS feed on the “paid by the seller” return fees.
Why do we constantly hear criticism about bad treatment of Uyghurs by China but not about anti-competitive business practices of Amazon and how badly Amazon treats its workers and third-party sellers?
Why do we constantly hear criticism about China launching copy-cat products but nothing about Amazon abusing its E-commerce dominance and launching copy-cat products to compete with third-party sellers?
Amazon is nothing but a disgusting (monster!) company with disgusting and anti-competitive business practices. They will not get a single EUR out of me. I would prefer spending a few EUR more and supporting local business instead.
Amazon.nl is the absolute worst
Amazon.nl is the absolute worst. First of all, they ALWAYS send an apology email for a delayed shipment, which actually are almost never late. Second, I wrote reviews and they are never approved both good and bad, simple reviews without any links or anything special...and yet they are all not approved. Of course this is a big bias. Lastly, I returned an item because it not contained the same items as stated in the advert, the replacement had the same problem and when I wanted to return the second item I was told I was not entitled to a refund!!! WHAT?? Stay away from amazon.nl, it's a cheat and it's unreliable.
Amazon.nl totally unreliable
I normally order at Amazon.de for delivery to the Netherlands and that always works. My review is only for Amazon.nl. Although sane company they totally suck and I won't order there anymore. Of 4 items ordered in 2 orders 2 items where never delivered, and 1 item we ordered there only because we needed it at the advertised delivery date suddenly (on that delivery date) has 1-2 days delay, so all for naught. Never going to order at Amazon.nl again. If Amazon then only in Germany.
Good
Good, fast and reliable service. My go to place for online shopping
Fast delivery, great customer service and fast response
I made a mistake during returning process. I printed a label for another item that I don't want to return, but sent the right item.
I contacted their customer service and my problem solved.
Fast response from their customer service and professional communication.
