Update 27/7/22 and one star added: The day after writing my review I received a very courteous and informative email from Sean triggered by my original review. He replied to my questions concerning use, maintenance and ordering replacement filters. He apologised for not replying sooner. I’m still concerned about the phone number on the website which is not in service, so I will email him and ask again about that. I feel much better now about my purchase experience with AmbientAir Direct.

So far I'm very happy with the product and the prompt delivery, but I'm not happy with AmbientAir Direct’s customer service. I had a few questions about their product and tried to ring the UK phone number on their website. It is not a working number. So I sent them an email on 15 July but have still not received a reply. I'm not happy about this lack of customer service. It makes me wonder if they are actually based in the UK. The manual has no contact details printed on it, and some of the wording in the manual is in poor English. I will update my rating if I eventually receive the courtesy of a reply to my questions about the product.

We purchased an Air Conditioning Unit form Ambient Air, delivery and installation was fast and simple. We couldn't recommend them enough.

Brilliant Air-con unit, absolute life saver in the recent extreme heatwave.

Very pleased with the air conditioner - proving an absolute godsend during this current hot spell. The only reason for the dropped star is that the delivery was a little chaotic and didn’t take place on the promised day

Ordered an air con unit for my home office from here as the weather is getting warmed. Saw the ad on facebook and spoke to them online, very helpful in deciding the right size unit for my office etc. Ordered with free delivery and it arrived the next working day - very impressed and a cracking unit for the price

I had ordered 2 pannel heaters a week ago. Originally put the wrong delivery address and they amended it straight away.
Quick response via email.
It was a few days late for delivery but they kept me up to date throughout.
Will use again in the future.

the air purifier arrived in good time works well, using it 24/7 tried to contact ambient to get new filter element
emails not answered phone number on web site is fake.
suffering from asthma and copd I was going to do a write up how good they are on the web sites , not now

Ordered a panel heater on 22 Sept - no delivery after two weeks. Emailed company which eventually replied (after a second attempt) stating still waiting for a delivery date from supplier. This not acceptable and so I emailed to cancel order and request a paypal refund. No confirmation of this and no refund issued as of yet.
I understand supply chain issues but better comms would have helped a ton here.
Update - the PayPal refund did eventually be made - after lodging a dispute with PayPal.

Purchased air conditioning unit and air purifier. Minor delay in delivery due to supply issues (they are everywhere) early August but sorted now. Good value and priced product which is working well. Post sales service excellent - I had reason to ask a few questions re usage and they were dealt with immediately. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and product.

I purchased a air conditioner unit, took a little longer than expected to arrive due to the high demand they had, it’s a great price and works very well, on opening packaging noticed a damaged collar on ventilation hose, I got in touch with company and they sent out compete new part , so more than happy

I purchased a wi-fi enabled A/C from this company, great price. A little delay in delivery by a few days but well communicated. Couldn't figure out the WiFi but company were on it to help me. Very impressed.

It may have taken a while to get here (partly my fault since I moved house) but the unit is functioning well, very cold and quiet. Took 2 other units back from different companies as they were way too noisy and not even as cool as this one.
Just ordered a second one for the bedroom as it is quiet enough to sleep while on.

Do not use this company.

They will take your money, but contacting them afterwards is impossible as they dont answer the phone or emails. The only emails ive had from them were "excuses" as to why they were not able to deliver an item that they claim they had in stock when i placed my order.

One star is too generous here, but unfortunately trustpilot needs at least one star to leave a review. Id say avoid ambientairdirect, even if it means paying more elsewhere.

Edit 03-09-21. Contacted by the company and was able to receive a refund from them in the end, though it took leaving a review on here to get a response.
And since receiving the refund, ive been contacted twice by Sean requesting that i remove the review from here.
