These are scammers!

These are scammers!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

I bought some jewellery last year for a Christmas gift. The items arrived late! But the quality was awful. Cheap, tacky plastic. Rubbish. I returned the package to them requesting a refund. I paid £10.65 Track and Sign. The package arrived in China on 27th January and was waiting in customs from the 27th January to the 12th April! It was waiting to be collected from the 12th April until 2nd May, when it was returned to me. The reason for the return of the package back to me was "Uncollected". I kept them informed of the whereabouts of the package and got no response to emails other than standard "we'll get back to you in 2 days" replies. The last email I sent was on 28th May and have still not had a response regarding my refund.

They spam you with emails about closing down and big discounts, but don't fall for it. They are bad news!!!!

These reviews are absolutely true

These reviews are absolutely true. I purchased under the Claire’s Handmade Jewelry out of Chicago. Same story I’ve been “crafting” jewelry for years. Finally closing this chapter of my life. My wonderful daughter is helping me…blah, blah, blah. Unbelievable scam. Just found out about all the other names and states but same lady. Unreal. This should be jail time for all of this fraud.

Be smarter than I was....AVOID

Fell for the Internet ads before doing my research. First, you get little to no communication via email. Second, the items I purchased came in a cheap bubble envelope that was beat up, and delicate items were in cheap plastic bags with no padding, wrapping or anything. THIRD, and most importantly, the stuff if junk. It seriously looks as if the jewelry came out of a 25 cent machine that kids love. I gave $60 with of cheap garbage jewelry to the neighborhood kids. After the fact, I see that this "entity" goes by several different names, with the same old " I'm going out of business" garbage. This company isn't worth messing with, and despite what they say, it's cheap Chinese crap, coming from China. Save your money.

Utter rubbish

Purchased 4 pairs of earrings. They all came squashed into the same box. This resulted in all of the earrings being deformed and bent out of shape, and the snap closures mot working. The quality is awful, cheap and tacky. The website suggests craftsmanship, but these are anything but! I will attempt a refund, but don't hold out much hope.

I would leave no stars if given the option. I purchased a ring from this company. Took a few weeks to receive, but im patient. I was really excited when I did get the ring but was met with immediate dissatisfaction. The ring looked NOTHING like the picture. I was so dissatisfied I contacted the company to issue a refund. Their website claims they have no hassle returns if customer is unsatisfied. And the return would be free. Lots of emails back and forth and even tho I felt like I was deceived, the best they would do was 25% refund. It was either that or I PAY to ship the ring back. That normally wouldn't be a problem but it wasn't worth me shipping from US to China. Would have cost the same amount as the ring. Fast forward a few months, still no refund. I had to reach out to them AGAIN. Finally got the refund today. At forat they only gave me 15% and I had to remind them it was suppose to be 25%. This company sucks, has false advertisement. Buyer beware

Amelia and Arthur - cheap rubbish

Amelia and Arthur - I bought some earrings from this company and although I did my research I obviously didn’t research enough. Cleverly the company seems to trade under various names so I hadn’t seen any bad reviews. Unfortunately the earring that turned up are cheap, plastic rubbish. From a distance you might be fooled into thinking they were ok but they would not be anything I would wear and I definitely wouldn’t give them as a gift. They are badly made, certainly not vintage and absolutely not crystal. I have learnt my lesson. I hope you don’t fall into the same trap.

Scam sites PSA

Writing this as a bit of a PSA about this site (also ameliajewelryuk.com) and others:

Some red flags that can be looked out for even if you know nothing about a company.
1. No specifics about the products. The jewellery on this site has no particulars as to what it's made from and the 'description' of the pieces is the same copy/pasted on each item. That's an immediate warning sign. If it doesn't tell you what you're getting then it's not to be trusted.
2. The review at the top of each item page - if the review they choose to feature is saying 'It didn't turn my finger green!' then ... ummmm ... we're probably not dealing with quality items here. I don't think it's the sort of comment that Cartier would feature, hmmm? Featured reviews on scam sites are often vague, unspecific or just plain 'huh?', like this one.
3. Check spelling and grammar. The site I saw was 'ameliajewelryuk.com'. Jewelry is not a UK spelling ...! There's other spelling errors/inconsistencies and grammatical mistakes scattered across the site. This is typical of scam sites.
4. Check contact info. The contact info for this site had an email and (UK) mobile number - but the registered office is in Hong Kong.
5. Lastly - be wary of 'too good to be true' bargains. They often are literally that.

It's often useful, if you can, to do a Google Lens image search on items that seem like a bargain on a site you don't know. If it's a scam site, then the image will likely crop up on other sites too - either other scams (I found some clones of Amelia's that way, and also some of the jewellery is being sold by Temu, AliExpress and is all over eBay) or, sometimes, the poor designer that made the item in the first place and has had their images stolen.

Posting this because I'm a craftsperson myself and I HATE these sites. I also used to work as a mystery shopper for ads on Facebook and in the last year I was doing it, about 90% of the ads were fakes.

Good luck out there ;)

This is a scam!!

This is a scam where a company in China sets up multiple websites and sells cheap nasty jewellery. Also check out Clara Rose, Claire Rose, Mila & Rose and Amelia & Arthur. Similar closing down stories and the same stock!! 😡

It's an absolute scam

It's an absolute scam. The "closure" sale is bull, it's been there for months on end. They don't actually show you what you'll get. I wish I could attach photos because what I got looks ABSOLUTELY nothing like the ring I ordered. The site is plastered with fake reviews but has NO place to leave a real review (further proof the reviews shared on the site are fake). They shipped it from China, so yet another lie that these are handcrafted pieces "made with love" by some family run business. It took 2 MONTHS to get to me, so there "will be to you in a week and a half" crap is also a lie. I demanded a refund and I get some crap about how I have to cover all return expenses (which would be far more than this piece of crap is worth) or I could get 15% of what I paid returned and get a discount on a new item (as if I would EVER shop there again).

TLDR: IT'S A SCAM, SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Cheap jewelry from China

Cheap jewelry from China. Their refund policy is a joke. I Wanted a refund but found out I would have to send it back to
China which is prohibitively expensive. The pendant I purchased looks and feels cheap, unlike the picture in their online store. Don't waste your money.
