I have a medicare G policy with GSL

I have a medicare G policy with GSL. Just wanted to reaffirm that they still issue policies in Pennsylvania (as their state list on their website doesn't include Pennsylvania) and what their 2023 rate is going to be. Transferred 3 places and no answers. 2 stars because the people I spoke with were nice.

Chris Ellis - SUPER AGENT

I worked with Chris Ellis and he was fantastic. Was very clear about everything, answered all my questions, and made the whole process easy.

I am pleased as punch to get the same benefits as my previous plan and pay less in premiums. My husband has had his policy for over a year and has been happy. So I switched to Great Southern, too.

Agent: Cole Kraft

On July 20, 2022 applied for Plan F Supplemental Insurance with Agent Cole Kraft of Great Southern, who took my wife's information over the phone. My wife is well within her BMI, is on no medications, and prior to hanging up the agent said, given her health at 70 years of age, he felt confident that Underwriting should approve. He calls back in half an hour and confirms that, indeed, underwriting HAS approved. I call back the next day to apply for my own Plan F with the same agent, but he cannot be reached so they connect me to Underwriting who informs me that my wife has been declined. I hang up and attempt to reach Cole Kraft. I leave a message. I leave a text message. As of this date July 25, 2022 I have nothing but crickets. Use your own judgement as to whether this review reflects on Great Southern or Agent Cole Kraft, but this has been our experience.

Christopher Herst was awesome! this was not a product I wanted to buy and I was a pretty grumpy customer about it all, but he handled it very professionally. He is good.

I have never been treated so nicely by…

I have never been treated so nicely by an agent before. Jalisa helped me get my medicare gap policy going extremely fast without waiting and calling back so many times as I have my past experiences with other insurance companies. She is truly a blessing!!

Just a way to keep your money!!

Update 03/22: I did receive my refund check and I appreciate that very much.
Update to reply from the company:
I have changed companies before and NEVER had this issue! It seems all updating is done on either Medicare's end or the new company. You paid no claims in the entire year, so "coverage" is a non-issue! But, it is what is is. I stand by my review. You'll have my money while I wait for snail mail in order to get my refund.

I had a Medicare supplement policy for 2021. I got a new company for my policy in 2022. A draft for January coverage was still taken out of my account. When I called, I was told I had to prove I had new coverage and send in a signed form. Then management would review my claim and process a refund! Seriously, insurance coverage is now required?? Sad, sad, customer service! Would never consider this company again in the future!

My Americo policy expired December 31 at midnight. I see that you’ve taken money out of my account that’s unauthorized. Please contact me and return my money at your earliest convenience.

Medicare Supplement

I have had a supplement since 2020 and have been very happy with the policy and the rates. We decided to change my husband's supplement company since his rates had gone up so much. Great Southern has been great, The only thing we haven't heard whether or not my husband's application was approved or not, anxiously waiting. He worked with Nate and was very pleased with his service. Would recommend this company without hesitation.

I contacted AMERICO to speak with an Agent. Aaron Howard called me back promptly and explained several plans to me. He was very thorough and made it easy to understand what the policies contained and how they worked. My policy doesn't begin until Jan. 1, 2022, but up to this point, I am happy with the ease in signing up and the professionalism of your agent, Mr. Howard.

Great Knowledgeable, Helpful Service

My last call was to cancel my Medicare Gap plan. I'm going with a local Advantage plan. The person I spoke to was very polite, efficient, and helpful.

When I signed up for the Gap plan 17 months ago, the person that helped me with my needs was very knowledgeable, efficient, polite, and helpful. He answered all my questions and helped me pick the right plan for the time.

I would recommend them for any Insurance issues.

I reached out to Cole Craft

I reached out to Cole Craft, Americo insurance agent, to review supplemental insurance for my Medicare policy. Cole was extremely helpful, courteous and professional and the deciding factor whether to switch from another insurance company to Americo's plan. Gave me confidence through the process and after, with Americo support. Thanks to Cole... we are very satisfied with our changes.
