Brought this for very hard of hearing 96 year old.Staff at Amplifiedtelephones helpful with initial issues with phone.
As regards the Big Tel 40.
It is easy to use with the pre set photo call buttons. No unnecessary answer phone, nice and basic. It’s big disadvantage is the ringer is quieter than conventional phone, over came this by adding an in line loud ringer from Amazon. Also user needs to press the red button to amplify the receiver sound, easy to do and effective but another thing for someone who has had a stroke to master.

Mobile phone dispatched promptly after ordering and arrived next day. It's a perfect, simple phone for our elderly parents!

The ordering and delivery were great, but the phone it’s self is as good as useless, very difficult to program and just can’t get the listening volume up to even a level that I can hear but this phone was for my 93 mum

I'm sorry,I had to return the phone. The charging cable didn't fit to charge it. I have a receipt to prove postage. I packaged it carefully so I am now waiting for a refund.

I like everything about this telephone, so glad I bought it.
I'm now able to have conversations and receive incoming calls without all the stress of deafness.
I also like the chunky hand receiver and the fact that it is sturdy and looks good too.

This is a great company if you need a telephone for older or hard of hearing people. The photos are good, the descriptions thorough and the ability to claim VAT exemption is an absolute bonus for the handicapped.

Bought a telephone for my mother. It is excellent, the description meant I could select exactly the right machine and it has proved to be just what she needed. It arrived promptly.

I purchased this phone on behalf of my very deaf neighbour. He is extremely pleased with it as he can hear more clearly (and I can hear him). He is also impressed by the addition of the cordless phone as he takes it into the garden when he is pottering.

I still struggle to hear certain words,it’s just not loud enough and I need to increase it further. Some people are still frustrated that I can’t hear all them fully. I am very disappointed as I thought it would solve my problems.
