Would not use again

Would not use again, the driver was not driving safely. All the speeding and sudden braking was also making me feel unwell.

The only way to pay for your taxi is to…

The only way to pay for your taxi is to download an app that takes way more information from your phone than necessary. It's either that, or cash. The idea that they could just send you a text with a link to a payment system doesn't seems to have occurred to anyone at Angel Cars.

Courteous, clean & patient. But check on cash v card payment

Our driver was very patient even though traffic meant our 90-minute drive to the airport became a 150-minute drive. The only slight hiccup was that after checking when we booked, we were expecting to be able to pay by card. In the end we had to run around frantically at the airport trying to find a cash machine because a card wasn’t possible.

Not nice experience

This was my second booking with them. First trip to the airport was perfect. The trip from Luton airport was a failure.
My flight had early landing and I had 40 min wait for the booked taxi. With a thought, I will still have enough time for coffee, I got an automated message that the driver is waiting at the meeting point. I was surprised but went to the pick up point straight away only to find out the driver is not there. I tried to contact the driver but the phone was cutting me off so I called the company. They advised to wait for drivers phone call. Driver called me a few minutes later just to tell me he will be arriving in 10 mins time. It was really cold outside and due to missleading message I had to wait outside for 20 mins. On the top of that, as I was rushing to the pick up point, thinking theyre waiting for me, I forgot to draw some cash for the cab. When the driver asked me for cash before the ride, as this is their policy, I said I dont have full amount on me but there is a cash point right outside my house so I can get the cash from there. He than made me feel like does not believe me I will pay, he drove off the route, made the ride longer, just to find the nearest cash point for me to draw the money. I felt like a thief as he said that a lot of people dont pay them for service, so he suggested Im the same. I will not ever use this company again. There are other competitive companies in the area I can use.

Had the worst ride in my life with this…

Had the worst ride in my life with this company and I'll never use your service again. The app doesn't work properly there's a 5% discount when you book in the app, but when you claim, you they a higher price and the discount is already applied. Also if the price in the app is too low, they cancel the ride. I took 4 hours from Gatwick airport to my place, which usually is 2 as they don't give you correct instructions about where is the meeting point at the airport. They give you a price over the phone, but they charge you a higher price at the end. They only charge in cash and the driver never has change to give you back.

Unpleasant experience, will not use again

Booked a car for a 1 hour ride to the airport with 2 young children and requested 2 child seats, the car then arrived without any as the driver said they were too much of a hassle to comply with. Driver then proceeded to drive in an erratic manner causing the children to get upset, and when they became more vocal about their discomfort he turned the radio volume up to drown them out which just made them more anxious and stressed. All in all made for a very uncomfortable and stressful journey. Will not use again.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Taxi was booked at 2pm for 6.15pm the same evening. At 5.20pm, less than an hour before they were supposed to come, they left a message saying they couldn't make it because they hadn't any cars spare! I phoned then back and they said the same thing - pathetic. And then they had the cheek to send me a text saying 'We are sorry you had to cancel your booking' as if it was all my fault. AVOID!
