Excellent service. We sent in what we thought was nice costume jewellery but after inspection turned out to be the real thing! Antique Vault managed to get us a great sale price and quickly, very happy.

Using Antique Vault was an excellent experience. Michael was very professional and displayed real subject matter expertise. I felt comfortable that I got a fair and honest evaluation which was very competitive compared to the insurance price. This was completed in a very timely manner. I would absolutely recommend to others and will use again!

We had a grandfather clock in the office that had been previously valued at a not-insignificant sum and subsequently insured accordingly, we were looking at re-insuring the item or selling it and wanted a second opinion on its value. Michael and Antique Vault had been recommended to us, so we contacted him. He was prompt in coming back to us and extremely detailed in letting us know what he needed to be able to perform the valuation virtually. We found him to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and reassuring across the process. The valuation wasn't as we had hoped, but did confirm our suspicions that the clock was over-insured. We decided to keep the clock in the end, but I would definitely recommend Micheal to anyone looking for a valuation, advice on antiques or indeed to help sell items.

Despite being a complete novice when it comes to ‘vintage/ antiques’, I found myself the ecstatic winner of a very competitive bid for an item I wanted for my daughter’s 18th birthday.
I then spent the next few days in a panic wondering if adrenaline and emotion had got the better of me.
I spent close to a week inspecting the item, Googling, making calls and sending emails. I even joined antique collectors Facebook groups to ask advice!
I simply had to find out if my purchase was the ‘real deal’ and worth me overbidding on (yes...insert an Emoji).
Google searches were giving me a headache and local auction houses had failed to respond (quickly enough for my liking anyway!) but an email to Gemma from AC Silver Unlimited provided some very useful leads.
Within 24hrs of my enquiry via the Antique Vault website I received an emailed response from Michael.
He viewed my images on the same day I sent them and I received the most pleasant, reassuring phone call from Michael.

We had inherited some silverware and were wondering how it would affect our house insurance. I found Antique Vault online. I emailed at about 6pm. For some reason, the email bounced back, so I texted the number on the website, asking what to do. About an hour later, despite it being out of office hours, MIchael phoned me. He remained on the phone while I had 2 more goes on the email (finally successful). He explained the difference between probate, auction and retail/replacement values; checked the items and did some research; and was able to give me an estimate of the auction value - all on the same phone call! I was very impressed. We are not thinking of selling at the moment, but if we do, we'll be back in touch with him.

We recently asked Michael for a valuation of a ring. We found him to be knowledgable and extremely helpful and he inspired trust. We would have no hesitation in asking for his advice on another occasion.

I submitted a number of ceramic, furniture and glass items via the web form, which my Dad had inherited and understood to be potentially worth something. Within 24 hours I received a personal call from Michael. It turns out that none of the items were really worth anything, but that was still very helpful to us as we're clearing out the house! I was impressed at the time and effort that Michael made in calling and explaining this to me, despite being massively busy and not actually gaining anything from the process, apart from a potential future customer. Michael from antique vault helped me sell a really special gold Rolex. He looked at the best way to sell it and we got various offers. I was in no rush to sell and we waited for the right time and got the right value for it. If I sold through a auction house I would have had to pay more commission too. Well done Michael and I will use antique vault again.
