I needed a replacement uv light for my…
I needed a replacement uv light for my APEC water filtration system, but APEC’s website said their bulb was discontinued and identified an alternate. I went to the alternate’s website only to find that bulb also was discontinued. I emailed APEC’s engineers online for another solution and received no response. I now have a water filtration system that will be useless when my current bulb dies - and it’s only 6 years old. Poor customer service and short-lived tech. Will not buy from them again.

I learned right after purchasing this…
I learned right after purchasing this filter that my city uses chloramine. This filter is good for chlorine, but not for chloramine. I read many, many reviews and learned that the filter will fail me after a short time.
There used to be a CuZn filter for chloramine, which is no longer available. I would love to get my $ back, but it is not worth the cost for me to send it back, plus restocking fee - it is brand new and still in its original packaging...
Not sure I will be able to use it.

Was able to return for a full refund. The filter was brand new, still in the original package. Did have to pay for shipping it back.

If your water has low levels of chlorine, sediments, hardness, and TDS, the filter can reach its full lifespan. However, higher levels of chlorine or chloramine—especially chloramine—can reduce the lifespan to about 2–3 years, and elevated hardness, sediments, or TDS may also shorten performance.

Always appreciate the availability of this item for truly, clean drinking water through a countertop version, which works great with our rental home. The instructions are pretty plain, but I will say as others have said, it is nearly impossible to ever get a hold of anyone by phone for direct questions.
