This company is a joke
This company is a joke. I ordered 2 x pair of Dumbells from them in December 20. They kept delaying the delivery without any explanation and eventually I asked for a refund in February 21. It’s been nearly three months since then and I still haven’t got a penny back.
I would avoid this company at all costs.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered £200 worth of dumbells and have not received them 3 months later. Disgusting. When will they arrive Apex?

Shocking company
Shocking company, avoid at all costs!! These people are complete scammers and will keep your money and not ship your order.
Mine has been due over two months and nothing. Very hard to contact.
Slow and unresponsive
Ordered a bumper plate kits in December still not received the order not received any information on my order
6 MONTHS LATE! STAY CLEAR
Ordered early December, now being informed end of May! 6 months for a barbell set. AWFUL!!
Do not buy - no product received, no refund
bought in Jan - its now mid march, no product received, no response to any messages asking for a refund, no refund processed. DO NOT PURCHASE. Having to go through chargeback process with my credit card company
AVOID!!!!!
I ordered a bumper plate set, some additional plates, a bench, a barbell, a kettlebell and a suspension trainer way back in November. It was on pre order so I understood that I wouldn't receive the goods until February which was fine. February came with no contact from Apex so I got in touch, they said that due their manpower and systems they couldn't get in touch to tell customers about delays.
They said they'd split my order and deliver what they did have on Feb 19th, its now March 14th and I have still not received a single piece of equipment, only an email to say that they don't expect the shipment to arrive until April now. Its safe to say that I have no confidence in this date or the company as a whole. They have offered no goodwill gestures and communication has been poor at best. I won't be ordering from them again and I can't recommend that you avoid at all costs enough.
I ordered dumbells in January and made…
I ordered dumbells in January and made payment the same day, yet despite repeated requests by text and email I have received no update on when I will receive the goods I have paid for. On that basis, not recommended.
Great company
Great company, order process was easy and weights arrived earlier than planned.
I just need April to hurry up so I can get all my other kit I’ve ordered!!
Items not arrived with no updates provided
I ordered some 15kg plates in January which were due for delivery at the start of February. I’ve emailed for an update on two occasions and my emails have not been responded to. I appreciated that there could be delays but the lack of communication is terrible. I’m now out of pocket and it’s unclear when my plates will then up. Would not recommend. Do not shop here.

Reply from Apex Day-1 UK & Ireland
I placed an order for kettle bells…
I placed an order for kettle bells early December, and still waiting. I was given multiple responses of ,”oh the orders are on the way to the warehouse now, yours will be next.” That has been over a month ago and nothing past order placed status. I am in the US and haven’t received any response from their US person. Asked for a full refund and haven’t heard anything back yet. If you are having trouble getting stock in, or delays due to customs or whatever, put a disclaimer on your site. Save people the frustration and be upfront that you aren’t in stock of certain items rather then advertise as fully stocked and ready to ship. Very frustrated and disappointed. Wasn’t able to write a review for their US branch.
Just awful - avoid.
Ordered a barbell on 2nd December which was out of stock but would would arrive 'in December'. With the news that gyms were closing in the UK just before Christmas, I decided to give them a nudge to check in on my order. Since then, it's been a lot of chasing for very slow, very few and frankly completely useless responses.
The Customer Service team have been awful, with responses like 'looks like your order due to be shipped in the next few days. I can't 100% guarantee the delivery date due to the Christmas rush but it is due to be shipped soon.'
3 weeks of chasing them later, I've had an excuse about Brexit, an excuse about Covid, an excuse about New Years, and various other comments such as 'deliveries will begin at the beginning of this week/next week' which are just delaying my ability to go and source a barbell from a different company so that I can actually do some training at home over lockdown.
It's now 25th January and still no sign of a dispatch, let alone a barbell to train with at home.
I asked for a full refund and they didn't respond, so I've asked them again.
With customer service like this they won't last long sadly.
DO NOT ORDER FROM APEXDAY1
Ordered a Wall mounted folding Squat rack advised delivery would be the end of the month. A week after the end of the month I emailed Apexday1 and was told stock stuck with Port Authority. Advised first week of January. 2nd week of January contacted Apexday1 to be advised arrived in warehouse to be despatched next week. Emailed Apexday1 again the following week, advised that stock had not arrived in the UK but I could pay an extra £167 to upgrade to another rack which is not wall mounted but to say sorry they would knock off £20. The company needs to sort out the order and distribution service as well as basic stock taking when receiving deliveries they also should learn how to contact customers before they are chased.
