DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Our order missed a vital part. We asked them to send one and they said they couldn't as they had no stock yet they were still selling online, told us to source a replacement part ourselves, they offered a very poor payment which would mean we were out of pocket.
Requested photos, videos which were supplied, we were then told they closed our complaint as they couldn't view them, went back and forwards constantly, appalling customer service ,the email response you will receive is clearly a proforma and they do not review previous correspondence.

Missing item on delivery

Contacted them to check if stock in . Then I purchased two freezers online. Only one arrived on the delivered day. Contacted the customer service and opened a case reference. The girl said to me will be in touch after 24 hours. No one gets in touch or sending email to explain the situation. Shocking service, will not recommend at all.

The most incompetent cycle of communication and service I have ever encountered in my life from a company. Infuriating, time wasting, dishonest, unprofessional, scammy.

8 Failed Deliveries for my Replacement electriq 10 Lite Laundry Dehumidifier.
The most incompetent cycle of communication and service I have ever encountered in my life from a company. Infuriating, time wasting, dishonest, unprofessional, scammy.

Oct 15th : Email from Melvin to say he has reprocessed the replacement.

Oct 15th : Shipment TWO. Sales order 50397335 email but it still has United Kingdom as address

Oct 15th: I replied again that they still had incorrect address as UK and Melvin replied again asking me to confirm my address (AGAIN)

Oct 16th: Email from Ellen with a UK DPD tracking number 155045244455373

Oct 22nd: I rang DPD Ireland who said the order never the UK as it has no Customs documents. I emailed Appliances direct again to tell them that and ask if the order was reprocessed.

Oct 22nd: Melvin replied to confirm that it had. Just another generic response but he didn’t investigate what happened. Just reissued the order.

Oct 23rd: Email from Ellen to say the item is out of stock again until Nov and she’ll be back in touch with me.
Oct 23rd: THREE Email sales order number 50492067

Nov 10th: Geoffrey replied to apologise and confirmed my order was dispatched on Nov 8th and that it had “already been declared on the invoice”.

Nov 12th: Phone call from Angel to apologise and say I would have my replacement by Friday 15th November.

Nov 13th: FOUR; email sales order 50778899

Nov 20th: Melvin said he has made case manager aware and will organise a call.

Nov 20th: Gladys emailed to say she had tried to call but couldn’t get through and had made it a case priority 78818324

Nov 21st- I called the office but the agent could not put me through and couldn’t help. I explained I would be away on holidays from Nov 27th -7th Dec so I wouldn’t be home to receive delivery.

Nov 22nd: FIVE SALES ORDER 50910051email came through. EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM I’D BE AWAY ON 27TH.

Nov 23rd: Anne emails case priority to say it will be delivered by City Air Express instead of DPD.

Nov 25th: SIX Mary said she was ringing but she was ringing the wrong phone number. She said it was in transit with tracking number 4524459516. Even though I said I was away on 27th.

Nov 25th: I replied to say she had the wrong phone number and I was going away but they could deliver to my neighbours

Dec 17th: Email “An email to say “Sorry your delivery didn’t take place”.we’ll rearrange your delivery soon.

Dec17th: I rang and spoke to Nicole who was no help. Basically she repeated we’ll send a new one. I said this needs to be escalated now. And I need to speak to a manager. She said someone would call.

Dec 18th: email from Gladys to say she tried to call but couldn’t get me.

Dec 18th: I replied and asked could she call me back as I was in a work meeting when she rang.

Dec 19th: email 10.47am from Lalaine to say my case manager will call me within 6 working hours. I un-eagerly await to hear her say, we’ll reissue yet another replacement... to continue the most incompetent cycle of communication and service I have ever encountered in my life from a company.

And the kicker is that at this stage, I just want a refund to end this relentless torture from this company. However, they only give you a fraction of the original price (approx £40-50 ) as I'd used the dehumidifer. To buy the same one again is actually £129. So this cycle of absolute madness continues after 4 months of emails.

Falsly claim items are "in stock" when they are actually completely unavailable

Website claims item was "in stock" and they even offered "next day delivery" for an additional fee. However, I was contacted the next day to be told that the item is not only not in stock, but can't even be sourced from their supplier. They are unable to supply any other split systems (despite listing a dozen on the website) so have cancelled the order and promised to make a full refund.

Total waste of time for everyone, the company should remove these items from the website.

This is what I tried to buy: "9000 BTU WIFI Smart A+++ easy-fit DC Inverter Wall Split Air Conditioner with Heat Pump & 5 meters pipe kit"

I must be a slow learner?

God know why but after these guys messed my about I decided to give them another chance.
I placed another order for a new TV, I also paid extra for next day delivery.
The following day I called late in the afternoon as I was concerned it hadn't arrived, I was told the TV hadn't gone to the courier so it would delivered a day late.
The TV turned up 1 day late. I decided I didn't like it (not their fault) so I called to arrange the return. While on the call I was told the refund had been processed and would be in my bank within a couple of days. I was told the collection would be 3 days later, however, the email said 2 days later?. I questioned this and was told it would be the earlier date.
On the date of the collection no courier arrived. I called again and was told that the collection request did not go through and anther collection was organised for the next day.
The following day I started of by contacting the local office of APC, the courier who delivered the TV, they confirmed that they would be collecting it later that day.
At around lunchtime different courier arrived claiming he was there to collect "something weighing 50KG" that's 3 times the weight of the TV?. He had no reference numbers or description of the item so, I decided not to let him take it.
APC arrived 30 minutes later, complete with reference number, etc, and collected the item.

The following day I got a message from Appliances Direct claiming APC had not been able to collect the TV as it had been collected.
I again contacted the local APC office who confirmed that not only had they collected the TV as arranged, but they had already delivered it back to Appliances Direct, an hour before they had sent the email.
The courier also provided the name of the chap at Appliances Direct who had signed for the delivery at their warehouse.
I forwarded this information on to Appliances direct, along with the name and number for the contact at APC. As there was no response I spent another couple of hours on the phone trying to get some sense out of them, however, after waiting in long queues several times, only to be cut off, the lady I eventually spoke to refused to use any of the information I had sent, denied I had been the message about the failed collection, and said there was nothing she could do.
This is my experience, it's up to you if you want to use this company, if you do just make sure you've got plenty of spare time to sit holding on the phone

I don't know what to do now so will have to raise it as a dispute with my bank.

Update: They've now admitted they did receive the TV yesterday, however, it will now take up to 5 days to inspect it before they can start the refund process.

The worst service we’ve ever had.

We ordered a free standing bath with integral waste pipe. This is important as the design doesn’t suite a standard shallow waste. Bath arrived October with no waste. Since then, we have had offers of £20 to buy one, (cannot as made just for integration with bath), promise to send it out next day and finally, we can replace the bath, but you must remove, pack the bath (in what?!) and once they get it back, they will inspect it and get back to us by the end of the month. (This will involve removing the bath room door in a newly, professionally decorated bathroom.) That would now be 31 March. Then, they’ll send a new bath. They must be joking. We are nearly six months from delivery.

Avoid this crowd at all costs.

Terrible service

Delivery arranged for today. Taken day off. At midnight get a message (only saw it when I got up today) to say delivery delayed by TWENTY-ONE DAYS! So how am I supposed to manage with no fridge that long? Obviously it was never in stock to start with. Very annoying and I'm very unimpressed.

Thank you

Was in such a pickle after buying a cooker mid-November from CurrysPCWorld that they clearly did not have to sell and waited weeks to resolve, we ordered a second cooker from Appliancesdirect just before Christmas. Came in 40 hours, 2 extremely helpful gentleman who brought it in and it has been a dream ever since!

I am now praying it never goes wrong as jus seen their customer services reviews are sadly not great!

Now having to go to Small Claims Court to sort refund from CurrysPCWorld.

Abysmal service followed by abysmal support

Following my first review mid december regarding the service, customer support and refund failure, i have had several replies, none of which has yet resulted in refund of £70.01, the remainder of a refund for a non supplied dishwasher. Absolute farcical operation, even the senior manager in one call, told me all the staff need retraining - including her it would appear. I know if I contact my credit card company they will process the refund on my behalf but why should they have to. I want the public to vote with their wallets elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY FROM APPLIANCES DIRECT!

DO NOT BUY FROM APPLIANCES DIRECT!! Electric (AD own brand) integrated larder fridge. Where do I start? Apart from swift and helpful delivery, the rest was a disaster from start to finish full of hassle, aggravation and time-wasting. The fridge never worked. Customer services (CS) are practically non-existent, it is very difficult to get in touch with them, when you do they always politely apologise but do not follow it up with any action. Instead of swapping it for one that worked, they insisted on sending a warranty engineer out to check the state of the fridge. They told me I had to arrange this myself which I refused, it took 2 weeks of chasing CS to get him to come, he confirmed it was faulty. Then another two weeks of daily chasing CS to get it collected. The collection process was a joke. AD refused to compensate me for double installation and de-installation cost. Finally I received my refund (fridge and initial £15 delivery charge). The new fridge I bought from John Lewis was delivered a week ago and is working fine.

we bought a dehumidifier from…

we bought a dehumidifier from appliances direct. (october 2019) we paid a premium delivery charge of £14 something pence for delivery on a Saturday. it arrived on Monday. On opening the box, the 13 amp plug was in numerous pieces, completely smashed. I telephoned 08719844416, (don't do what i did) the cost of telephoning 'appliances direct', 3 telephone calls made by me, to report the issues; cost to me £9.68. (only found out this morning on looking to see why the phone bill had increased)
the only thing in their favour, they refunded my delivery charge in full and a further £20 refund for me to have a new 13 amp plug fitted. The message is, don't phone these people.

If you want a fight, they will give you one. They even try to tell you their version wording on the returns contract ruling which is different to their website.
