I held a Swiss driving license. Although not part of the EU, the Swiss government has unilateral agreements with the EU to the effect that a Swiss license is treated the same by the ANTS, and is eligible for exchange. Despite their process stating I have not provided them with needed documents they have taken my money and refuse to give it back, despite multiple attempts. In effect they charged me for something they themselves said it would be illegal for them to provide. Why do they think that is acceptable?

I signed up with April Moto after one of their advisors assured me several** times that I was eligible for their insurance plan with my Canadian license and an official document from my local department in France. Upon paying and signing the contract I received a email stating that they could not cover non-EU licenses. I immediately called them to resolve the issue where they confirmed that the advisor made a mistake and that I was not eligible for their insurance plan with my Canadian license. HOWEVER, they REFUSED to reimburse the 92€ I had prepaid for the first three months of my plan despite denying me coverage. I called their administration several times to request a refund, but they have denied my request and have shifted the blame on me shaming me for signing up with them in the first place. During our calls they have put words in my mouth while twisting our conversations and lying about previous phone interactions. They finally sent a request for a reclamation, but told me that I would not hear back for at least two months. I received a nasty letter from them in the mail the other day where they accuse me of insurance fraud! How ridiculous. This company is an absolute disgrace, I advise everyone to stay away.

They charged me more than a 100 euros and then said they couldn't insure my scooter because they needed a UE licence while I had an international driver licence, THEN REFUSED TO GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY FOR A SERVICE THEY DIDN'T PROVIDE

Awful ! They do not reply to emails. My insurance was suspended because my license had supposedly expired but they just suspended the policy without telling me why. After many hours on 'my space' and emails, I eventually discovered that they were looking at my HGV license expiry date (which is annual of course) and not my car and motorcycle expiry dates. I have sent pictures multiple times with no reponse. I am now left with my bike uninsured! I will take out insurance with another company. April Moto are useless !

Applied for a motorbike insurance. All fine until 2 document were not approved. As i had no clue why a send an email...and another one...and still waiting for a reply.
So i dropped this company....and will go to a proper one. Too bad for them i was also looking for new car insurance and healthcare...all not with april because they are not communicating
