Quite simply, the best.

Tom, Alex and Steve worked carefully, quickly and with real professionalism to replace and set up our new oil fired boiler. Tom was extremely skilled and worked both methodically and in a very tidy manner ( I kept hearing his vacuum cleaner). All the team were also very friendly and keen to explain what they were doing. At all times, I was kept informed of when they would start work and reminded of their impending start by Kerry. All in all a great team AND the cost was reasonable, not cheap but much as expected for such a task.

I wouldn't use anyone else.

After being recommended by a friend I used Arlow to come and service my boiler. The booking process was quick and easy and over the phone for me. Steve arrived on time and is a good honest man. Not only did we have a chat about literally everything, he gave me a full report of how my boiler was doing. I would highly recommend Arlow to anyone with issues with their boiler or any other heating issues.

Highly Recommended

Very easy to explain the issue with the chatbot on your website. You rang and emailed the next morning, and the engineer arrived that morning to resolve the problem and provided sound advice.

They came out and diagnosed the problem…

They came out and diagnosed the problem that a previous plummer hadn't. Steve that diagnosed the problem talked me through all he was doing and why he came to the result that l needed a new PCB board.
The two gentlemen that came out to fit the board also very pleasant and asked any questions l had.

Reliable and efficient.

When our gas safe engineer retired, the thought of having to find a reliable and trustworthy company to service our combi boiler meant that I allowed it to lapse for a couple of years.
I found Arlow via Google and their reviews on there and trust pilot convinced me to give them a go.
Very helpful on the phone, I was surprised at how quickly they could fit me in.
Steve the very polite and friendly engineer arrived promptly and carried out the service and safety check, showing me the condensate trap that needed cleaning out, and the magna clean filter that only had minimal dirt in it showing that the system was still in good condition.

We will be using Arlow again next year.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a fantastic experience with Arlow Plumbing and Heating. The engineer was brilliant—courteous, punctual, and incredibly professional. He kept everything clean and tidy throughout the job, which made a real difference. The installation of two designer radiators was done to perfection, with great attention to detail. Couldn't be happier with the quality of work and service. Highly recommend!

Yearly boiler service

Local company undertook thorough service of gas boiler system including bleeding of radiators. Good communications regarding appointment and Engineer was polite and punctual. The company runs a payment plan so the service cost us spread throughout the year.

I can 100% recommend Tom Arlow plumbing…

I can 100% recommend Tom Arlow plumbing and heating . We have used them on and off for a few years now . I had a 5 ⭐️service ,the engineer was very friendly and knowledgeable he arrived on time . I paid what I thought was a fair price .

They left me with a broken boiler and charged me £384!

Called these guys to fix my Morco Boiler and was told that the most likely problem was a diverter valve. After a week waiting to hear back and chasing them, they then turned up to do the job. After several hours the engineer fitted the part and it didn’t fix the problem. To make matters worse he said no more parts were available for my boiler and there was nothing else he could do. I was then confronted with a bill for close on £400 for the privilege. When i checked on the internet a whole raft of parts were available for the boiler. Avoid like the plague, a bunch of con artists…

We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with your experience, but we feel it's important to clarify the facts.

You first contacted us on a Friday, and as a non-care plan customer, the next available appointment was the following Thursday — due to high demand and priority being given to care plan members. After the initial diagnostic visit, the required part (a diverter valve) was ordered and arrived within three working days. We returned as soon as possible once it arrived and a slot was available.

The suspected fault was diagnosed based on guidance from the boiler manufacturer’s technical helpline. Our engineer spent several hours on site attempting the repair. The boiler was not working before we arrived, and we invested significant time trying to restore it.

Unfortunately, replacing the diverter valve did not resolve the issue. The engineer explained on the day that this was the only part available related to the identified fault. You kindly provided a link to other parts online, but as shown here:

Those parts are also out of stock, which reflects the same issue we encountered with our supplier.

Regarding the cold water pipe repair - while you’ve clarified it wasn’t something you instructed directly, our engineer took the initiative to assist your groundworks team while on site. This work took considerable time and was carried out at no additional cost, simply because we like to help where we can.

You also mentioned having 20 years of experience as a service engineer during our emails. With that in mind, we’d hope you understand that even with professional support and due diligence, faults aren’t always resolved on the first attempt — particularly when dealing with older boilers and limited parts availability.

The fixed cost for the work was agreed before we began, and everything was carried out in good faith, with transparency and professionalism throughout.

We appreciate your frustration, but we strongly feel your comment labelling us as “con artists” is both unfair and inaccurate. We take pride in our work and in treating customers honestly.

As a gesture of goodwill, and to help you move forward, we offered a new boiler installation at a reduced rate to help bring the situation to a practical resolution — which was declined.
