Cannot cancel subscription by yourself
This company makes you sign up to a yearly subscription and then they don't send you reminders about renewals and they don't even give you the option to cancel the subscription!
The only way to cancel the subscription is to email them directly and ask for it, and if you forget to do it (very easily done), you only have 14 days to let them know via email otherwise you're stuffed.
I ended up paying one extra year accidentally with this company and had to go through the hassle of exchanging emails with them in order to cancel my subscription instead of simply clicking a button like in every other site.
It's a real shame this company engages in this kind of dishonest behavior as their footage is actually really nice, however I given their shady tactics, I'd strong suggest staying away from them and also all other products from their parent company for that matter.
Lost our royalties to Artlist
Lost our royalties to Artlist. We paid over $600 in licensing fees. We created audio and visual products, paid for the licenses, only to receive a copyright strike from Artlist. We provided our licenses and they never responded to us. They stole our royalties and never cancelled our business subscription. We had to report them for Fraud to our bank. Horrible, deceptive company. I hope they get a class action lawsuit against them.
Support takes 2-3 weeks to reply
Support takes 2-3 weeks to reply. Cancelation is almost impossible. After I finally managed to cancel, the subscription was renewed anyways. I don't recommend using this service if you can even call it "service"!
Bad service. Cancelling not easy.
Cancelling your subscription is not easy. If you didn't sign up with PayPal, you have to contact the support. Good luck with that.
I've contacted the support 11 days ago. No answer yet. Today, I've contacted them for the third time, and the automatic response included: "It could take up to 3 business days for us to reply."
Worst customer service ever.

I am very disappointed with the management of MotionArray. They change the payment rules without caring what their contributors think. I will stop uploading new content. And if nothing changes I will delete my portfolio Thank you so much.
Money over ethics and people
Money over ethics and people. 'Artlist Ltd' purchased Motions Array and has reduced artist pay by up to 75%. Money Money Money, but only for Artlist Ltd.
Ripped off artists
Outrageous! Artlist management has ripped off Motion Array contributors in two large sweeps. Introduced new scheme that would halve contributors income and maximize Artlist's profits. Congratulations for being the most hated company in 2022.

HORRIBLE User Interface, here's why
The music/ footage artlist and also artgrid provides is wonderful, beautiful and an excellent way of improving one's videos... BUT I just have leave 3 stars because the interface is HORRIBLE!!!! Yeah that's right it's the most annoying thing ever... the interface is just made to look beautiful but it's absolutely unpractical. There are also a s*** ton of JS Scripts being loaded, everything has to be animated, you can't really work with tabs or baths download videos and then there the shopping cart... I mean, WHY??? what's the point of that? Shutterstock or iStock have a really simple, not the best looking, but practical interface... the interface should be built to support the search for music and make it easy and fast and not a pain in the ass!
Very deceptive advertising
As a designer for a small company, saw this ad on a video and thought it would be another great free stock photo site like Pexels, however these images are NOT free at all. It functions almost exactly like Alamy: you have to pay for everything. Which I'm fine with as a rule, people have every right to charge for their images. But it's deceiving to advertise a site as free when it isn't. There are other sites out there with amazing stock images that are actually free (no cost & no attribution req), so I encourage people to look into those instead. Only gave 2 stars cuz the images are very nice quality. Could be good for much larger companies who have the money to spend.
The stock is generally good.... BUT
The stock is generally good. High quality and full of options. But that's where the good stuff ends.
The site is slow, difficult to use, difficult to find content and THEN the download and purchase of content is beyond painful.
You are allowed to download 100 videos per day, you add them to the basket and then go through checkout. Bearing in mind you add each video individually, this takes time.... the site often does not recognise which clips you have downloaded and in fact lets you download the same video twice, and charges you again.
THEN once you have been through check out you have to download each video individually and it takes AGES. Crappy UX, UI and a disastrous way to organise clips.
After this is the subscription and the fact you have to hunt around to find out how to cancel. Once you cancel, you no longer have access to the items in your account. Meaning you have to download all of the content to a hard drive. Bearing in mind the above comments and depending how much content you have chosen, this could take a week.
In summary. Good content, very poor service.
Fake don't use it
Fake landing telling me that everything is free while it's not.
Cool pics, but deceiving ad
Ad was super cool. They claimed it was free however that is incorrect. I made an account and tried to download a cool photo that didn't download.
Sad
You Will Be Sorry You Ever Tried It
First, they claim to have a trial period ad you start downloading videos like you would at any site, except these "artgrid.io" files cannot be located at first. When you fid the location they appear to be hidden. You go back to the Artgrid site to find out what's going on and there are no instructions. The only thing you have are three are three purchasing options. So you go to your browser and when you enter artrid there is a subcategory for a "free trial". If you are a student or just begging that's the option you want, but they lie because the only thing you get are those ridiculous "artgrid.io" files that you can't locate and then appear at times when you don't need them. I was working on a paper for my class and one of those files embedded itself into my Word document. I thought I deleted it, but when I started printing my document, the artgrid.10 files appeared in the middle of every page! I have just one night to finish my paper and had no idea what to do.
Now, try reaching someone at Artgrid. Impossible. It's like no human works there, although I'm sure someone is collecting the money. They are untouchable.
PROS: Great artists! Fabulous Work! Nice format! Superior idea! Outstanding advertising!
CONS: No Access to People or a Working Product. False advertising. Beware of malware and downloads that destroy your files. Security that will bring your system down and treats consumers like criminals. Bogus trial period. Deception.
We tried them for one year
We tried them for one year.
They lack of transparency in their billing method as they bill you . Their Menu options are limited and not clear.
You subscribe for one year only, then the next year they charge you without advising you. Where did the second year license pop from when there is no option in the original menu to do so !
a One year subscription that was paid should not be renewed without asking the client.
As a client I lost trust !
The original license is for one year and it seems to renew itself without advising you. This is not the way you conduct good business with your clients.
Their Account Menu is not clear.
It is not a nice experience to be charged.
Those auto-renew that pop between the seller and PayPal is the biggest "scam" and none sent a reminder either even though our subscription was clear for only ONE YEAR.
Lost all trust with artist Ltd and PayPal.
Don't make a subscription because it is…
Don't make a subscription because it is not possible to quit or cancel subscription. They say you have to quite it some how over paypal it is how ever not possible too and there is also no adress where you can send a post to quite after one year. I'm struggling for days to quit account.
